Yumi is now the proud owner of a squeaky toy shaped like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup pack (got pics up of her with it ^^)! She absolutely ADORES her squeaky and will come running no matter where she is if I pick it up and squeak it. So cute!!! I think I might have to go buy 2 or 3 more like it to keep hidden somewhere just in case something happens to this one, she's become VERY attatched for only having it 2 days. She has to go find it and put it in the bed with her before she goes to sleep!…

Ok, I think this one is just too easy. One of you rockers is going to get this one right off! But if not, here is your hint: Those are not real glasses that Bear is posing with but rather an over-sized replica of a pair found in a snow covered Iowa field at the end of the Winter Dance Party in 1959 and not returned to there rightful home until 1980.

Dogs, unlike much-smarter chimps, are very good at reading human signals and gestures, as we are all aware! This article contains some interesting insights as to why that is. It mentions the fox study that John posted awhile ago.
"The Russians began by breeding a group of foxes according to one simple rule: they would walk up to a cage and put a hand on the bars. Foxes that slunk back in fear and…

FREE TO GOOD HOME!
Hi, My name is Joey and I am a four and half year old female, purebred, Pembroke Welsh Corgi with certified papers and a big heart...I have been living in the same house my entire life, but recently a newborn baby moved in and Im in need of a new home. My owners love me dearly but sometimes I get a little crazy around the baby and I think its time to settle down somewhere else where I can get a lot of love and attention. I dont get along with other animals and…

I was just browsing on the Everyday with Rachael Ray website trying to come up with dinner ideas when I saw that she has a ton of doggy friendly recipes!! All sorts of foods for your puppy! She even has a recipe for puppy cupcakes which I am going to be making for Chesneys birthday party in November...lol.
Wasn't sure if this was common knowledge for everyone here so I just thought I'd share! Have a great day!!

Today is the 30th day for fostering Dooley and I feel a heavy weight on my chest. I hadn't heard anything from the rescue group in Wichita, Kansas, since the 22nd of August -- until 3 days ago. Actually, by that time I was hoping they had forgotten all about Dooley!
I also heard from another rescue/adoption group in Texas inquiring about both Frankie and Dooley on the same day.
My heart sank, I went into a deep fog, and couldn't -- and still can't -- catch my breath --…

Hi all,
I ran into an artist at an art show a month or so ago and she had these wonderful slates painted with all sorts of birds and dogs. Unfortunately, she didn't have any corgis! So, we talked to her and she asked me to email her some pictures of our Kirby and Cricket and she'd see what she could do. I popped onto their site and was happy to see Kirby's smiling face!!

It seems like just yesterday we were bringing home our little boy. The cutest, sweetest little guy imaginable.
I remember how worried were were about him in the beginning when he wouldn't use his hind legs and now he races around and maneuvers like a pro. It's hard to believe that sweet little puppy has turned into this crazy teenager we have now. I look at him and wonder where my little puppy went. But really, he's turning into a…

One day at the vet clinic I work at I noticed a bag of Science Diet had a corgi on it.
Which then made me wonder what other corgis I could find around the office. That quest lead me to:
Interceptor Ad
Veterinary Apparel Ad
Product catalog ads. There was…

Has anyone had any trouble with their corgi barking at them when they are leaving their home?
We have also had problems with her barking at us when we are about to take a shower. It has even gone as far as her ripping clothes off our body?
We don't know what to do. Help!

We usually go to West Orange Dog Park on Sunday mornings with our good buddy Vader and his mom Susan. Well on the way to the dog park this week, we stopped at Wal-Mart to drop off a friend, some how as my friend got out and Susan moved from the back seat to the front seat, Lizzie slipped her collar and ran out of the car and into Wal-Mart. It took a few seconds for me to realize that she was gone. Susan had given me both of the leashes to hold while she moved seats... so Vader still attached…

Fall is in the air, so yesterday we took at trek down to an apple farm down in southern Colorado. We went to get ourselves plenty of fresh apples, pumpkins, berries, apple cider, etc. It's a pick-it-yourself-farm, and there were lots of little kids out gathering whatever apples they could. But there was also one very happy corgi! She got to ride on the tractor, which sitting in the lap of one of a little girl who was just doting on her. Then she got to hop around the orchard, jump over the…

Harley is growing up so fast!! He is a little bit over 4 months old. When we brought him home at 11 weeks, he weighed 8 lbs, and he now almost 12 lbs. I wish I would have measured his length, but it's obvious he is getting longer. He can now jump through the doggy door without assistance. We are still having house breaking issues, but I know we can't expect him to be reliable this young. He has occasional accidents, and he is slowly learning that he needs to tell us when he wants to go…
