Let me start off by saying that Spanish was my first language, Cuban mother. When my grandmother that only spoke Spanish passed, I sort of lost a lot of it. During the Christmas break, I have been trying diligently to remember it (I know it is in my subconscious because I sleep talk in Spanish, my friends have it recorded).
My question is, does any one have any experience in teaching their Corgis commands in multiple languages?
I believe if Wynstan understood Spanish, it…

There was so much blood, I was so scared. I am grateful for living only two houses down from the vet. My cousin brought his dog (who wasn't properly socialized) to my house, they got a long fine at first, then she snapped. Wynstan ran yelping with blood gushing out. My whole family was here, my younger cousins were freaking out, and his blood covered my shirt. I picked him up and we ran to the vet's. Luckily the good vet was working and it was nothing serious. When I got back, my uncle said he…

Both of his ears are finally up, didn't need tape or anything.

It has been 3 weeks since I have had my puppy. It has been a crazy time. He is extremely playful, has adapted well, and is good with other dogs. He loves to steal other dogs' toys and hoard them in a corner. One ear is still down and I keep wondering if it will be up soon or not.
I only have one complaint, and that is his horrible snoring. It is loud enough to keep me up at night.

Wynstan got his second round of shots today, and boy is he grumpy about it. He will halfheartedly play with a toy, grunt, then move off to lay down.
I can't believe its only been a week since he has been with me, so far only three accidents. He has been getting better about turning people into giant chew toys and I have already began to train him, It seems like he is already started to recognize his name and will sometimes come running when I call for him.
One ear is…

Wynstan is really good except for one thing, he bites the crap out of jeans and hands. I know he is just a puppy, and I have only had him for four days, but I am worried that it will only get worse. I just want to take care of it so it won't become a problem when he is older.
any suggestions?

Hate to post every week, but here goes
I got the last picture of him from the breeder before I pick him up. I really am in love with his markings, he is going to be one handsome fellow once he is grown
I just have one question really, is 5-7 pounds the normal weight of a puppy that is about to come home? He will be eight weeks old when I pick him up Saturday…

So I tried to order a crate from petco through amazon, but I received an email that said it was canceled. My credit card was not billed.
Guess what I received today? That's right. A free crate. But me being myself, I couldn't accept the generous offer through such a mistake. I called Amazon and was patched through to a CS representative rather quickly. I told the nice lady the predicament, and she said I should keep it since it was free. After a bit of talking she finally gave me the…

The breeder said he did excellent at the vet. And I am almost done shopping for supplies, all I really need is a small food bowl that will fit in his crate, the ones my girlfriend bought me from ohmydogsupplies.com were to big and seems to better suit him for when he is grown. I got really lucky as far as the crate goes. I found one for 10 dollars and it is 36 x 24 x 26, it seems big enough right now. Will it be a good one for later on?
and without further wait, here is his latest…

Wynstan's breeder has him on Nutrena Loyall Puppy Feed, and I can not get it anywhere near me, I really don't want to drive 80 miles to a town just for kibble when some stores around here sell seemingly better food.
My question is: is it difficult getting a puppy to change kibble?

The breeder called me today to tell me a few things about my pup. He now enjoys playing in the water bowl. She mentioned how is almost always damp now after he discovered how much fun water is. I hope this translates as him being a water corgi, this is something I was hoping for. She also told me that he is eating very well and does well at the vet.
20 more days!…

I having been trying to get a corgi for ever, and once I found a breeder through a friend, I was finally about to get one. Wynstan will be here on Nov 28th.
But I am very surprised that there is a website like this. I was glad to see a wealth of knowledge on here. Thank you all for the warm reception.
Just one more thing. What should I expect from my little furry bundle of joy on the first day here?
