Before you know it Halloween will be here! Debating whether or not to bring Lance along trick or treating with the kids, that could be fun, or could be more work than fun. There was a video of a Pembroke Welsh Corgi on America's Funniest Home Videos. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi was out in the woods chasing its shadow in the mirror! I wasnt watching it, I just happened to come in from being at the store and saw it on! Very Cool! Did anyone happen to see it on?

I was just wondering what the best method to training our dog not to go so crazy when the doorbell rings. He gets so excited and wants to see whos there and also wants to know who they are! He barks like crazy and will jump on people to greet them. We always tell him down, no jump. It's like a broken record everytime we have company over. I am trying to change that but need some advice. I always wondered why some dogs dont chew their dog food. Just wondering if anyone has any explanation for this.
Does anyone have a dog that doesnt chew their food! It just seems like it would be better for them to chew it, or does it not matter. Is it because the kibble is so small they feel no need to chew it? I find it interesting that our dog loves to chew toys but not his food!

I have noticed latelty that Lance is very barky......and also seems like he is on edge a bit. When he barked I would go to look out the front window and couldnt see anyone. This happened several times. Finally I have come to the conclusion that he must be hearing fireworks that we can not hear! The 4th of July is only a few days away. Lance gets very excited when he sees a neighbor dog or any dog walking and wants to go play. It is to the point that he looses his concentration and doesnt hear a word I am saying. Does anyone have any help on how to make him concentrate on me and not the other dogs he sees. He is on a leash and still cannot hear me talking.

Trying to walk Lance on a leash can be a challenge, if he is already not worn out. He thinks everyone should say hello to him. We have two dogs Lance plays with, so when we go for a walk towards their house he automatically thinks he is going over there to play and pulls me there. I went to work today and came home to find Lance not in his kennel. We always put Lance in his kennel because we are unsure what he would do when we are not home. Before i left for work, I saw Lance laying in his kennel with his head sticking out but just forgot to close the kennel door. I was in a hurry to get to work, oops!!
