Hannah has never really tried to bury or hide any of her toys before, but it's a different story when she gets her favorite treat - a Chewnola. Sometimes she'll start munching on it right away, but other times she'll just carry it around in her mouth, never putting it down. Often, she "cries" or whimpers as she's walking with it. We found one in a closet a couple months ago that I guess she tried to hide, and today she buried one in her bedding in her crate. I was just curious if the whimpering was normal behavior or if she's just plain weird. :)

Some of my dogs hide things like in the bed sheets, closet and other places...I love watching when they take their nose and try to cover whatever they're hiding...I can't say I ever heard whimpering...maybe occasional growling to protect what they hid!
Sparty loves to shove his toys under our coffee table and couch then he barks until we come and get it out for him.It is a game he made up on his own and not one of my favorites! LOL
Oh Holiday does this too!
Gwynnie buried all of her stocks after the Great Financial Meltdown of '08. I tried to explain why it wouldn't do any good.
Now she can't find them.
Some dogs are stupid about money.
Well it really doesn't matter unless they're worth somethig...
Domino does this with almost every 'treat' type toy; Chewnolas, raw-hides, pig ears, etc. I find half-chewed ones buried in the couch, in blankets, in laundry, etc. And yes, when I give her a new one she walks around the house with it in her mouth crying trying to find somewhere to hide it.
All corgis are weird aren't they? I mean *ahem* unique :) Mine is always hiding her toys and bones and food around the house, i only find them sometimes when i notice a strange smell coming from underneath the bed. I think she forgets they are there!
