Ragnar was the same way, except he waited until 7am.  He would wake us up, he'd go out, and then he'd go back to sleep, which wasn't terrible, but it was disruptive to my sleep schedule.  Once he got a little older it was apparent that he didn't "need" to go out, he just had made a habit of it.  If Ruby can hold it all night by now, then she should be able to sleep in a little later for you.  What we did was:

1) Take him out the very very  last thing before bed

2) When he started crying in the morning at 7, tell him to lay down, go back to sleep, it's bedtime---whatever Ruby understands for "quiet"

3) Some fussing and cuddling was involved usually and he would eventually settle back down and go to sleep.  If he really did have to go, he'd keep complaining.

It took about a week to break the habit for us.  Good luck!

HA!  Mine are up at 5am - the time I have to get up during the week.  They have no understanding of clocks - all they know is "I'm HUNGRY!"  I go ahead and get up, feed them, let them out and then we all go back to bed to sleep in.

Sorry no advice :(  Mine is 2yrs old and she still get up at 6-7am every day. I give her breakfast at 6:30am during the week, while her human brother gets ready for school.  On the weekends you better believe she gets me up at the same time for her breakfast.  I usually feed and walk her, then go back to sleep for a little bit.

Good luck.

Kali has taken to getting up at around 5:00 but I have been successful in getting her out of her crate and she gets on the end of the bed and goes back to sleep until I am ready to get up.  Seems like she just wants some attention from me as she doesn't need to go out. Not a great solution but it does allow me to go back to sleep for a little while!
I have always gotten up and let them out when they are young and then put them back in the kennel for another hour before feeding. When they are adults and they sleep with us at night they will sleep as long as we do. But I should say we are old and don't sleep that late anyway!
Mine are fine till I roll over...then it's time to wake us up even though I'm not ready. We cuddle for 1/2 hour or so and then I have to get up:) Also I never sleep later than 7 so they do get up early.
Have you tried staying up really late on the weekends and not letting her sleep until you do. This is what I do and I find it works really well.
Rowdy does this too... I actually get myself to get up, take him potty, and then I give him his breakfast in the bathroom... takes about 2 minutes from my sleep... I go back to bed in my room and he usually falls asleep in the bathroom until I get up for real :) If he does start whining, I can't hear him and he quits after a little bit. Make sure toys are present.

I take Al & Gwynn drinking with me on Fridays.  They sleep til noon (but they throw up in my boots).

Here's how you get your corgi into a bar:  http://www.mycorgi.com/forum/topics/lets-hear-your-favorite-corgi

Lol!
Somehow get your significant other to feed Ruby in the morning, then she won't bug you anymore.
