So, here in NY we get LOTS of snow. Weeks ago we got hit with almost four feet of snow. We have four foot fences around our yard and the snow sat just inches below it. I was quite worried my puppies were going to walk right over it! Luckily the snow was so deep they were too afraid to travel off the paths they had created while the snow fell. They lived in these paths for at least a week, because the snow did not melt. We were actually snowed in for a few days. For a long time after…

I joined this group hoping some Corgi lovers can help us where our vet can't. My ex brought home a Welsh Corgi she "saved" from an un-caring owner last Summer. My ex has left Howie with us as she and her roomate have cats. The prior owner got a new Sheltie puppie and Howie apparantly did not like the puppy...at all! She claimed Howie was biting the puppy and was snarling at it frequently, she said he was violently jealous. She put Howie outside all day in the Summer heat all season.…

I'm pretty sure that watching Bear with his new Kong Wobbler is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. He figured out that the snacks come out - but when they don't pop out easily, he growls and barks at it.

I was at CVS pharmacy tonight and thought I'd check out the after-Christmas clearance. I found a 2-mug "The Dog" set with a cocoa packet. The mugs have puppies on them, and I'm pretty sure one of the pups is a corgi. What do you think?
After the discount I got 2 matching mugs and cocoa for $1.25…

Technically, Luca is not my first puppy. I grew up with several dogs in and out of my life. We went through a couple of animal shelter dogs that had biting problems with my younger brother and one with chewing problems. We finally found a suitable dog for our family after a couple of years of searching. She was a red mini dachshund named Jasmine. A few years later after a move to the country, we got Ginger. She is a sheltie/lab/chow mix and she is the sweetest dog in the world. My family…

A friend of mine picked up a bag of peppermint sticks to give to my horse Red. It was a treat for him since he had moved to a new barn. I decided to take the corgis with me, since it has been a long day, it was very cold and they would enjoy a walk around the new barn. As we were driving to the barn, Tigs got closer and closer to me.
"Awww, he wants to cuddle." NOT! He was doing recon work on the yummy smelling peppermint sticks in my purse that was under my car…

I'm having my 16 week old pembroke corgi spayed on the 19th of this month, and I had a long talk with a vet friend of mine about the procedure and now I'm a little paranoid. She told me that her office does the following for every single spay surgery:
physical exam before the surgery
blood panel work up
iv fluids during procedure
continuous pulse ox and blood pressure monitoring during procedure
pain meds for after, and to take…

I don’t know what a year is, new or otherwise but, so far, it’s going great! We stayed up late on New Year’s Eve. Mum made us pointy hats that had polka dots and our names. She did this in a hurry (she said) so she said she didn’t have a proper way to…

1/8 - UPDATE: The licking has begun. :( Cone of shame is not going to cut it; headed to Petsmart to find a donut (because Petco doesn't have any).
Jon Farleigh underwent the "procedure" yesterday. This is how he looked last night:
Can you say "grouchy"?
(He was determined to show Dewi that he was still higher in the pack and…
