Bear and Goldy - February 2010

The last picture of the two of them I posted was from November, decided it was time for something more current.

This is Goldy in her new thin sweater as an option for her surgery recovery - I've never put clothes on either of them, so I put it on her tonight to let her get used to it in case we need it...who knew she would look sooo cute it in?

And of course this is Bear next to her - laughing at her.…

Ecollar avoidance idea...

So Goldy is getting fixed on Friday and I DREAD putting an ecollar on her, even an inflatable one - it's bad enough to be in pain, but in a freakish collar HAS to make it worse.

So here's my idea: can I put a little doggie shirt on her? Maybe something similar to a baby's onesie? Something light and thin that won't get her too hot and will prevent her from licking.

I realize that she can chew through it if she focused on it, but I will be with…

Babe

I'm a sap for any animal movie, and Babe happens to be on at this moment. There are sooo many scenes in this film that bring tears to my eyes but this one especially...

When he sings to the pig to get him to eat ; if I had words to make a day for you...I'd sing you a morning golden and true, I would make this day last for all time, then fill the night deep in moonshine....

February 26 - Goldy's Spay Day

So, I made the appointment today. My sweet girl goes under the knife next Friday - for the record, the day I took Bear to be neutered I was beside myself all day. I think I went to pick him up like 30 minutes early because I just couldn't wait any longer.

This should be better, I have to work on Friday - pending no more snow days, so at least I'll be at work and distracted from worrying. The down side is that I leave for work at 6:30am, and she can't be dropped off until 8…
