On Tuesday, weather permitting Chloe and I will begin agility lessons. I wonder what to expect?

We replaced carpeting with Wilsonart laminate, looks like hardwood. Chloe does not like it! She prefers her outside chair. We put a blanket on the floor until we can afford an area rug. My MIL Corgi also did not like the wood floor she put in. Chloe does have her own designated chair, but she does like this floor! Other Corgi parents have same issue?

I just came across this.Dog Dental Care - The Porphyromonas Vaccine
I do not even recall having this discussion with my vet about this. Has your Corgi been vaccinated?

When my sons were small I carried their immunization cards in my purse. I figured you never knew if you might need them in case of emergency.
As a Corgi parent if you go on a routine outing, say dogparks do you bring your dog's license and shot records with you? I think if going on vacation it is absolute must.

The HAPPY Act (HR 3501) in Process – Pet Tax Credit Introduced by Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R – Mich)
I just became aware of this. I wonder how this is going to work? This might allow for some pet parents get even more medical treatment for their pets.
I fully agree pets do add a lot of value to our lives.

My cat Ruby is 10 years old, and was recently diagnosed with a rapid heart rate. Chloe loves to bother and annoy Ruby. At bedtime Chloe is in her crate, Ruby wvalks around and wants some Mama time. Ruby meows, Chloe barks. I am concerned that Ruby will get so worked up that she'll have a heart attack.
I am correcting Chloe with "no touch" when she tries to mouth Ruby. . My husband thinks I should put Chloe in her crate as a timeout when behaves this way.
Got any ideas?

We have a pear tree in the backyard. Chloe ate some pears that fell off the tree, and now she has a poopy butt. I think it is pears since everything else is fairly routine, but she hasn't had her cookies and goodies today.
My other Corgi used to run into the apricot tree to knock that fruit off.

I wanted thoughts or whay people did. I have been thinking should I put "Beware of Dog Sign, or Corgi on my gate. I have been hesitant about getting a Corgi doormat or beware of dog sign for two reasons.
1. People will know that I have a Corgi, and want to kid nap her
2. having a Beware of dog sign, is that a liability risk?

Poor Chloe, it is just too hot for a walk or dog park at 108 degrees. I try to walk her before 10 a.m. even in the evening it is very warm. What do others do? I do play indoor fetch.

My father in law passed after a period of declining health. I am posting this here because he was also an owner of 2 Pembroke Corgis in his life time. It is because of my in laws having Corgis that I have owned Corgis. Presently the family has a total of 4 corgis. 3 Corgis have passed away after being very well loved. RIP Bob

I was so proud of Chloe today! I took her to a church picnic at Morse Park, Elk Grove, CA the picnic was near a water spray ground with lots of kids. Chloe was very obediant and mellow, a pleasure to be around, and this was important because there were a few that do not like dogs. I think she won them over!

Last night I smelled a strong skunk smell. I wonder where it came from, we live in a suburb residential. I have never seen a skunk here in the 10 years here. I know from my teenage days that tomato juice will neutralize the smell. I also heard, but cannot remember what the other odor killer is, hydrogen peroxide and something else.

today Chloe got updated on Bordedella and Heartworm. All the flea and heart worm plus blood test, and vaccine came to $217.00 I do want a healthy baby. I will need to look for interceptor and frontline cheaper though if possible.I am trying to work on her with interaction with the two cats. I wish she would not chase them. The cats hiss at her, but cannot scratch her because they do not have front claws. I say leave it, and reward her when she does behave the way I want her to.

I'd like Chloe to learn to pick up her toys and put them back in her basket. On the rare occasion when she does put them in the basket I make a big deal about it. I was not that succesful with my sons, but Chloe is more motivated by food.

Chloe went to a dog park for the first time on Saturday. She seemed to enjoy it. Mom hosted Bunko. Chloe enjoyed the party, after all people came to see her!
