Hope this doesn't continue...lost 2 cats due to rat poison which we NEVER use and the closest neighbor is about 3 miles away. This included my baby cat KK that found us...this also happened about 20 miles from here and we think someone is trying to poison coyotes and maybe something ate it and wandered onto the property and died. The one was an outside shed cat and until KK got sick and we took him to the vet we had NO idea.
Cougar sighting are rare around here BUT 2…

I have all these plans detailed and thought out...well I'm at my daughters babysitting the grand kids with Wynn. This AM I let their Bull Terrier out with Wynn and I hear a bit of a warning growl from Wynn. He came back on 3 legs:( Not sure what happened. My 1st thought was take him to the vet BUT I have 2 kids under 5 and NO car seats. He is doing better after an hour and putting weight on his leg but I think I will call my vet and see what they have to say as my husband could pick up…

I'm as proud as I can be with Livvy today:) She helped move our 2 goats over a mile from one farmsite to the other. She thinks she owns the goats in the yard BUT she truelly did her job today as we walked from one place to the other with only one goat tethered. She moved them and kept them going without any problems...she…

We just got home from a last minute trip to the vet. I had called Wynn in from outside where he had been for several hours enjoying the 70 degree temps and the sun. He couldn't get up and his leg was looking funny so I knew it was his back or leg. Somehow he made it to the car when I went in to get something and I lifted him in. After several times of checking his spine and legs the vet told me it was his back and to "hold his head and upper body tight. The vet moved his legs and hips every…

Well Ottis is doing very well except for his dog aggression issues, we are working on this but I would not trust him in a home with other dogs. He is okay when greeting dogs when both are on leashes.…

He is a very nice BIG(I am guessing 35+ pounds) boy but also a very BIG challenge. He is scared yet although has warmed up to the people and the cats....he is dog aggressive at this point:( I only haveTank my sweet Corgi mix here with him and he growls and wants to go after him so I either have to seperate or crate Ottis. I know things will get better each day but for now I'm "on guard". Ottis lived with other dogs and his previous owner had him since a pup...wish us "luck"…

I spent 3 hours yesterday looking for Livvy. Now, she never leaves the yard and can be trusted to stay home! Well, I couldn't find her and thought the worst so I walked in the fields, drove all over and squeaked her favorite toys plus played ball with the others to get her to "come". Right before I left again I laid her 2 balls on the deck after playing catch with…
