It has been a busy weekend for Owen! On Friday night we had friend and family over for a housewarming/puppy shower. Owen was amused by people and children alike. I was so afraid of people feeding him food but we kept a close eye on him between Matt, me and my parents. He got to play with kids and have a great time! He was out for the count by the end of the night and we didn't hear boo from him until 9am the next day. I love it when he sleeps for that long! I also love it when he gets… Continue

I think Owen might be the only dog who was not immediately charmed by the bully stick. He did this weird thing for about 5 minutes until I took it away. Sniff it, nip at it and jump away like he had received a shock! Then bark at it a few times. Repeat. I got tired of that one really quick. My husband came home and we tried again. Matt said he had to show him what to do - then he was busy until dinner time.

Owen is 3 months today. We took him to his first trip to the park on Tuesday. Kid in candy store- I'm glad we have the harness for now. We have a LOT of leash work and obedience to do! He actually is doing very well for a 3 month pup, he just hasn't experienced outside of the house or our yard/block! We had a blast at the park and he crashed. All the other dogs and people.. So we went on a great walk today because someone had a rediculous amount of energy. I find he really likes to bark alot between 6-7pm. Amazing sense of timing he has. So we went for our walk and ran - I love that Owen walks normal and then when he breaks into a run that his hind legs move together (like a bunny).



It rained today so Owen took it upon himself to jump into a couple of puddles because that's tons of fun. So Owen needed a bath. We really had to work together on this one… Continue

Well Owen is getting bolder and bolder every day. We noticed that we now have to use the leash every time we are outside because he is getting fast! We have shared yard with our neighbors (both houses belong to our church and we are pastors) and if they are outside with their kids (2 and 9months) Owen stops listening and we are no longer the coolest thing in his world.



He also is quick to pick up one of his favorite yard "land mines" (as we call them) meaning: pieces of bark, sticks… Continue

Sometimes I feel like the only difference between the child we don't want to have yet and the puppy we have is the blessed kennel we can leave him in while we are at work! We are having so much fun and thankful he likes to sleep through the night but talk about a battle of wills.
