I am not going to take up much space with non-Corgi business but I promised to keep Y'all up-dated on the surprise puppies. Well this was their six week old photos and two of them have found forever homes. One (Penny) went to our neighbor who started taking her home for a few hours a day after her six week birth day and then just didn't bring her back one…

I adopted Link from a kill shelter a few weeks ago, the only thing they could tell me is that he was a corgi mix. I have been looking online since I have got him, and I am still clueless!

It's been almost 4 weeks since Bento came into our lives. He is really the bestest puppy ever! We've been training him every day, and so far, he knows sit, bento, and down. He's starting to learn stand, fetch, and come/recall.
He definitely got a personality. There's a stubborn streak in him. When he's training with my husband, and my husband is a harsh grader, Bento would let out a bark of frustration when he didn't get a command correctly and therefore no treat. He…

Ellie has been with us for almost 2 weeks now (it feels more like 3 days!) and I can't imagine life without her! She brings so much joy to our lives, both human and canine alike. She greets me every morning with her bunny nub wiggling a million miles per minute. She gets Yuki to play at least 3-4 times per day (which is beyond fantastic since he usually refuses to play!) And I love the funny sleeping poses, the cuddles and the puppy kisses.
She has started showing us some…

Well after looking through my blog posts, I never actually explained how my beloved Murphy died. I would first like to explain, Murphy was a good dog, he never got into anything, never tore things apart, came the very minute I called for him, could do any trick in the book, etc.
However, one night my former boyfriend and I fell asleep with the bedroom door open. The dogs were wandering around the house and without us knowing, got into the trash. Murphy got out a plastic frozen…

Well Louie still acts like a puppy, but he sure isn't growing out of the energetic puppy stage! I love it!
He is learning, we've had some trouble with him listening and coming to us when commanded, but he's getting much better. This photo is of he and my cousin's 8 week old corgi named Bebop. They were so cute, played exactly the same! We were at my…

The vet said his bandage can stay on for five days. The problem is
1. I have tried to gently start removing the tap around the base of his ear and he is yelping, not sure I can even get to removing the bandage. If he is that sensitive I don't think I will even have the chance to get to the bandage. Should I take him back to the vet to take remove it, I don't want him to associate me with this mess.
2. I am really scared to see what his poor little ear will…

My boyfriend and I picked up Charlie from Sunny Garden Farm this past Saturday. We met his dad (big boy!) and his littermates, and the lovely Sandy Johnson, owner of Sunny Garden.
The car ride home was pretty smooth, he sat in daddy's lap for a bit and then slept the rest of the way on mine.

LeeLoo has her first bladder infection (with us). I became suspicious about two weeks ago when she peed in the house. She usually is left home for the day alone and we've never had any problems. She has peed 4 times inside throughout the past two weeks and has also thrown up twice. Just a summer note of caution if you notice any of these uncharacteristic behaviors in your dog. Her activity (and cuteness) level has stayed the same. We almost shrugged it off as 'oh, it's summer and she's…

So Rhun went into the vet for his annual check up and vaccination. Which mean we have had our little boy for a year now. man does time go by so fast. We have been through so much yet it still seems like we just got him. It hasn't been an easy year either, we have gone through his neuter where he was a very slow heeler we as we found out there was no complications but it too a while for the skin to heel enough for him to start going back to regular activities. Then we found out he had bad…

Boo Boo the Bear isn't our first dog; but he is our first Corgi. We had a cocker spaniel & a scotty terrier, Ripley & Toby respectively.
I was unaware of the flea medications out there with Rips and Tobers so the inevitable happened, and I had a flea infestation in my house. OMG! the cost was horrid... I think I spent almost $1000 trying to get rid of them that summer.
Now I'm wiser and started using frontline plus, but I've read in my consumer…

Lando Oliver is now missing a small part of his ear and has a puncture wound above his eye. Rexx attacked him again. There was blood everywhere including my face. We got him to the vet and he is stitched up. I am devastated by this and we have nearly decided to have Rexx euthanized. My love Lando Oliver was wagging his nub and being his friendly little self at the vet and I am so upset that he had to go through that.
Please send good vibes to my Lando Oliver to get better…

We just got our first pembroke corgi last wednesday, 7-13. I've heard a lot of talk about whether to shave or not to shave.. that is the question I guess... What would be the reasons NOT shave a corgi??? Does their hair get course? I know the obvious reasons for shaving them, keeping them cool and shedding...
I've noticed Boo Boo parks his cute little fanny right in front of the major AC vent and sleeps there most of the day. We haven't kept him out long, maybe 5/10…
