Got new life jackets for the boys this season. They came from Petsmart and are by Outward Hound. The medium fits my 28lb corgi and my 31lb corgi. They have a neoprene band with velcro that goes under the chest and abdomen, and nice safety release snaps. they allow freedom for swimming. They don't interfere with boy parts, so they can potty without interferance. They have a clip for a leash, so you don't need to get lake smell on their collars. They…

Bear, my boyfriend and I went for a walk tonight and this gorgeous white Mercedes convertible went by. My boyfriend even commented on the car as it passed.
A few seconds later, the Mercedes had pulled a U-turn and stopped next to us, saying as he climbed out of his car, "I just had to stop and say hi to this cute Corgi!"
He threw his car into park and jumped out - looked to be about 50 or so, in his crisp white shirt, khakis and visor - looking like he just left the…

This morning my husband came in to our room and said, "I don't even know how to describe what happend in the playroom." What happened was one dog (of our three) had a terrible gastrointestinal episode in there overnight. Let's just say, it looked like someone dropped a whole lot of poop out of a plane into our playroom and then someone else had a fight with it! It was everywhere. On pillows, on gaming controllers, game cases and even on the front of the big, 42" projection TV the kids play Wii…

Only another 3 weeks to go! I just went to Petsmart and got all the stuff I think I will need initially. Plus a few things I won't need for a while :) but it's because I'm so excited! I even went online and planned out some rest stops from the breeder's house to our house, and made up a mini schedule for our puppy's meals and potty times. Actually I think I'm preparing like crazy because while I'm excited, I'm also a little nervous. Not only is this the first dog I'm adopting as an adult, but…

Penny got her rabies shot today. She weighs in at 15 pounds already! 5 weeks ago she weighed 11 so she's gaining quickly! She'll be 18 weeks on Thursday. She's still not so great at potty training...we'll get there!

Murphy just keeps getting bigger and bigger. He weighs more than Stella now and his face has changed since he became a part of our family way back in February. Wow, it's just so hard to believe that's how long ago we got him. It kind of makes me sad, but I'm glad he's growing and that he's healthy. We had to buy him pup steps so he can get on and off of the bed and he sleeps on our bed now with us the entire night. He's so cute though, he must love the weekends as much as we do because we'll…

Eddy loves to (try to) eat crawly-things. We usually catch him before they even hit his lips, but he's definately ate a few mosquitos, ants, and spiders. Last night, we heard him snorting in the kitchen, and he had a huge daddy long leg on its back, belly-up, and it was flailing its legs at his face as he tried to snap at it! I had a dog that liked to peel birch paper off of birch trees and eat it, that was the weirdest habit I've witnessed, and we never broke him of it. I thought Eddy learned…

It has been a rough week! We decided to put Kylie, my old Corgi down. She is the red in my profile and my best friend for almost 13 years! I like to think of her as the best I ever had! Annie the tri puppy that is now 2 has some mighty tall shoes to fill! I believe she can, but it will just take time!

Just a quick post while puppy & hubby are napping. We brought Stewie home yesterday! He was the smallest boy of the litter and the sweetest little guy! Before we made our final decision we played with three Red & White boys and a tri female. One of the boys was nipping non-stop, the other boy was barking ALOT and the girl was just going going going going, total wild child. So that left the baby. He was very aware of everything going on, he played with his littermates and frapped around…

I know of one other Corgi from Kansas using this website. Just wanted to know if there were any others out there. Maybe we could organize a Corgi gathering?

This morning as I was getting ready for church, I came into the family room and saw Ginny laying on the floor and twitching. I walked over to her and saw that she was just trembling all over. Still holding her head up and looking at me, but she was just sort of trembling all over. I picked her up and moved her over to her doggy bed to try to make her more comfortable and sat next to her just petting her and reassuring her. She just kept twitching for a while and then it got a little worse, and…

I got sick, so have been out of commission for a couple of weeks. So, here's the update - he has a name - Sir Farley - we call him Farley. He is doing very well with toilet training and everything in general - hasn't destroyed anything yet. The cats don't particularly care for him and he wishes they would play, but they are standoffish. He's kind of vocal/yippee, very social, and very cute!! Oh yeah, what's up with the coarse fur he has along his spine? I am guessing that's a corgi trait...

Squirrels are the bane of Winnie's existence. If she ever caught one, she would die happy. What would make your Corgi
die happy? (metaphorically, of course!)

Tammey, Bear, and I, just finished helping a really sweet couple move from Dallas TX to Lookout Mountain TN. Although, we were sad to take such good people away from Texas; we were thrilled to visit thier new home on top of Lookout Mountain. I never would have dreamed that there was a town up there! I thought it was just a park with a great view of seven states, a lot of hiking trails and Historical markers, a water fall or two, and maybe a gift shop.…

Emmett is a handsome boy from Fort Myers, he is a quiet guy and have been well traveled for the last couple of days. Thanks to Maggi who busted him out of the shelter, followed by spending a night at
Mike's on Thursday, he was then transported to central Florida and stayed at Kelly's on Friday and now he's finally here with me on the east coast.
Emmett will be spending the next couple…
