I took Scout to meet her new vet, renew her trifexis subscription, and get her kennel cough vaccine (for when I board her) this afternoon. She was a great patient. The Techs said they heard that corgis were sometimes difficult at the vets, but that Scout was perfect! Yay for her putting a good "word" out for the breed.
Also, Trevor the foster was neutered today! He's spending the night in Evansville, but tomorrow he comes back here to hopefully be housetrained easier.

One summer afternoon, Jerry went missing, sending our family into an absolute panic. We called all our neighbors, we walked all around... no Jerry. Then about 8:00 at night we get a phone call. Well, it turns out Jerry was picked up by the dog catcher. We drive over to pick up Jerry. The animal…

Hi fellow Corgi lovers :-)
I completely forgot my log in information for Charlies page and have been dying to post a whole bunch of new things!
The past week I've been working on a dress for my little love for her Birthday next month. She'll be turning 4... oh how fast time flies....
I haven't sewn anything in over a decade and when I purchased a new sewing machine I was eager to try it out and see what I could make. As finding outfits for Charlie…

I am having a blast with my little turd of a Cardigan, Ace. He is waddling around the flat, dodging the stink eye-stares of the cats, and is pretty much in love with both my husband and me. But if there's one thing he doesn't do, it's play with toys.
Kong stuffed to the brim with peanut butter (which is a pain to find here in France) and treats, a brightly colored tug rope, squeaky fuzzy animals of various shapes, you name it and this dog doesn't want to have anything to do…

One of my magical little angels somehow managed to make his way from San Diego, CA to Miami, FL. In ten days no less. How he got there, no one knows, but he was found and i have a friend in Orlando that has been watching after…

This isn’t a corgi issue, but I trust peoples’ opinions on this site more than anywhere else. So here it goes:
I just started fostering a border collie mix on Friday. He is middle aged, and not neutered yet. I am almost ready to call it quits and return him to the shelter. First off, I rent and animals are allowed. So I have Scout (my corgi) and Swarley (my cat). Both are house trained. Trevor (the foster) either isn’t or seems passively territorial. He has peed in almost every…

My little 6 month old 18 lb corgi is afraid of EVERYTHING! such as bikes laying in grass, cats, moving leaves, big object that dont move, strange noises, people at a distance, brooms, gates, small animals ( rabbits, racoons, birds ect.) I have no idea why he is afraid of so much when he sees any of the above objects he barks as loud as he can while running with his butt tucked under him. The other night i was outside with him and my bf and the gas station kitty corner across the street was…

UPDATE: It's now been a year since Sidney's hip went out and he had FHO surgery!
We had to borrow to pay for his surgery, and thanks to my friend Julie who made bandanas, and Jeff who took photos, we made a dent in the money needed for surgery. Now we need to finish paying off his surgery, and I have finally (with my daughter's help) made another set of bandanas! These bandanas will be given as a thank you gift in exchange for a donation for Sidney's surgery. Suggested donation is…

Oh lawdy lawd. I have been waiting for this day for over six months and let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen, there is nothing like watching a corgi puppy wriggle his way around, when you know it's YOURS!
Ace has been a fantastic little gentleman straight from the get go. He miraculously didn't soil his crate, although his ravenous hunger and heightened thirst would explain it. He barely made a peep when he was in the storage hangar. His human mother, father and uncle on the…

can anyone recommend a playpen for my puppy to use. I was thinking of something like this but not sure if it's durable enough.

Payton crossed The Rainbow Bridge yesterday.
I miss him terribly. He was my youngest and most in need of special care as he had epilepsy, dle, and kidney disease.
He gave me a much love as I could give him and probably more. He was Momma's Boy, my comfort, my snuggle bug, my playful jolly soul- no matter what. He touched everyone whom met him.
While I knew this time would come and that he did not suffer in the end, it is still hard to say goodbye to such a loving…

That is the question!
My male Corgi, at 8 months old, is already acting pretty stud-like. I eventually wanted to get a puppy out of him so I have one of his offspring. BUT he has a tendency to mark his territory... in the house too. And when around some female dogs he gets all giddy and excited. He listens well, and is such a love bug but...
Should I just go ahead and do myself a favor and get him neutered?
