I got a Bissell SpotBot for Christmas. I love this thing! I got ride of three stains in 15 minutes using the auto setting! I just SpotBotted the corner of the sofa that Tig has christened by using the manual hose...the stains are ALL GONE! I used the mean green cleaner and a small container of pet stain remover...you go through a lot of solution but it is relatively cheap. All in about 45 minutes! AH-MAZE-ING! Me and Stanley Steamer may be broke up now! :-D

It is cold outside! I know that the corgis have a double coat, but when they are sitting around in the cold damp barn, I am sure they get a little chilly. I also like them protected from the drizzly cold weather. I bought them these great fleece dog blankets from Dover Saddlery...Now they match my horse!!! The large seems to fit them well...…

For Christmas this year, I received a beautiful needlepoint stocking featuring a red & white corgi...it is perfect for Tigger. But then, it left Molly without a stocking! So, it was my mission to find Molly her own stocking...I was unable to find a black-headed tri stocking but I did find a stocking that featured a tri-color corgi on it. For the best price and service, I found one at

This morning I was walking the dogs around the block, on our way to our neighborhood park. On our way over, a policeman in his cruiser stopped me to warn me that there was a loose rotweiler in the park and that I should head the otherway. I was so grateful! If I had gotten anywhere near the park, something might have happened! There have been so many lose dogs in that park, and they are always drawn to dogs on a leash!!!!

Well, it has been a busy year. Molly and Tigger have been very busy too! They are the best of buddies. They spend their days napping, running around in the backyard, and going to the barn. This summer they went to a horse show together and they did so well! They have a human cousin, and they are very gentle with him. I am so pleased that they are good with children!
They get along so well that they have many, many nicknames. Most of them having to do with their bad behavior :( While…

I took both corgis to the barn last night to watch my friends ride. Having been to many horse shows, Molly is pretty good at just sitting and watching, but this would be the Tig's first time as a bystander. I was worried that he would be disruptive or try to lunge at the horses as they trotted by. It was cold and uncomfortable but I put their cozy fleece blankets on them. The dogs sat calmy and watched the horses go round in circles for three hours. No one squeaked or barked once. When the…

It is really amazing how quickly a little corgi can go from being on top of the world to feeling not so hot. Sunday was a very typical day. We went to the barn, I let the bangers run loose out in the fields so they could get their run on. And then in the tack room for a nap while I rode. When we got back home, I ran errands while the corgis rested. By the time I got home that evening, I could tell Molly was not feeling well. She wanted to go outside constantly, and she was whining. When we went…

TIG is now known as TIGZILLA! The biggest, naughtiest corgi ever! I've been 'acclimating" TIG to going to the barn and being around the horses. I use the term acclimate loosely cuz the barn seems to be where TIG is the naughtiest!
The barn where I keep my horse is set on about 50+ acres of paddocks open fields and riding arenas. Tig's favorite thing to do is run, run, run through the open fields and go sniff out critters. Then he does laps in the indoor arena. Once you left him off…

I've had 3 sessions with the trainer. The good news is that the Tig IS 'getting it'. He is quickly learning about healthy interest in other dogs vs. "Im gonna eatchoo!". But before I get into the details- I wanna send a shout out to my sister who's been driving about 30 minutes out of her way to help me during the training sessions as well as taking time out of her weekends and subjecting her kind dog to help me practice. And to Kim and her huggie bear corgi, Toby for helping us…

When the gruesome twosome think that they have to protect their imaginary bones, the pantry door, the dirty plate or the gum in my purse- they will start growling, showing teeth or even fighting. That has got to stop! So when it starts I give a loud "Ah-AH!" a mean posture and dirty look and let them think hell is raining down on them for 3 seconds and I put each of them in seperate corners (the sin bin) for a few minutes. That seems to be working.

Tigger got the all clear for normal activity levels on Friday--- so that means HELLO, TRAINER!
While Tigger as under HW lockdown, I decided to get a trainer to help me deal with Tigger's dog aggression. I think that Molly probably fed some of that aggression, but due to his lack of socialization he had his own issues I need to deal with. But I also knew that it had to be dealt with the minute he got an all clear- and it didn't happen a moment too soon: Last Friday, as we were paying our…

I don't really think my corgi's are into FRAPing. It definately isn't random- it usually involves food or going for a walk. But they do practice FRABing- Frantic Random Acts of Barking. If one is on the bed, the chair or the sofa and the other wants up- FRAB! If I am taking too long to get their food bowls ready- FRAB! If the scritches feel really good- FRAB! If the leashes are out but they aren't outside- FRAB! If I am just sitting there and I am not paying attention- FRAB! If the evil…

The best/worst toy ever!
Found this at tractor supply yesterday, at about noon. a 12inch chicken that fits perfectly in a corgi mouth. Hard plastic and if you squeezed him- he squawked. I knew it was the perfect toy for the gruesome twosome. I got it home and it was love at first sight. Tigger wanted to do mad runs with it in his mouth. Molly wanted to kill it. They played with it for about an hour and then we put it away as there were other things…

It has been overcast or raining nearly every day since last week. In North Texas, that's unheard of in August! It's been in the 70's and 80's. It is fantastic weather for riding even if it a little wet but awful if your corgis are La Diva and Il Divo! No one will step off of the concrete onto the wet grass! Molly will hold it and hold it until I finally give in and take her for a walk. Going in the back yard- heck no!. Getting soaking wet and walking around the block- absolutely. And then, I…

Tigger had to go in for his second heartworm treatment this morning! I was really sad and a little apprehensive about it because he has to stay the night for the 2 rounds of treatment. Tig has been feeling so good for the last week, he looks so fantastic- none of his rib bones are poking out anymore! He was finally back to his happy healthy self- running, barking and jumping. Now, it will be one more month of lockdown. When I dropped him off at our vet, I gave them a big bag of all of his…

Molly- somewhere between a know-it-all tomboy and a diva. When you pick her up, you must be very particular as to never grab her around her ribs or under her armpits...she's very sensitive. Yet, she's super athletic and she doesn't really like to be told what to do or be corrected- she just gives you dirty looks. She will look at me over the top of her paws, using corgitelepathy, "YOU WANT TO TAKE ME FOR A WALK." In the car, if she is in the back seat, she only wants to be let out of the…
