Went to the vet :P and had to fight off the two doctors and receptionists who were molesting fitz!  Hahaha...I think I realize now what my friend meant when she said that she never knew any of her neighborhood dog owner names but just referred to them as "Pepper's mommy" or "Fluffy's dad" XD

Well, we've made arrangements with Barb of Evanwhit, and two Fridays from now, Ani will be coming home with us. (We're going to call her ~Anathema Device after the character from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's book Good Omens, but Ani will be her short name.)

Naturally we've been reading up on all the things we're supposed to do and get, like puppy proofing the house, how to house break a puppy, the vaccinations, the license, the food, the kennel, the shampoos, the leads…

On Friday the 13th, we will be picking up Baxter's true little brother, Ziggy, from the breeder. I can't really describe how excited I am-- not only will there be an oh-so-adorable corgi puppy in the house, but for Baxter to have a playmate. At the same time, I am also nervous as to how this will change our "pack" and if it will make Baxter unhappy to have another dog around. However, I will finally have a pair of corgis which somehow makes my life feel just a little more…

It's sad.  I dropped her off a little more than an hour ago and I miss her so much already.  I think part of it is still some lingering feelings of when I last dropped a dog off at the vet's - she didn't make it.  This time it's just a spay though - and Luna has been a healthy girl - it's just weird not having her here with me. Short post/update

Just wanted to let everyone know, We started crate training our 8 week old Oona the night we got her (Saturday 1-15-11), and tonight is the second night in a row she has "gone to bed" with zero crying/whining!

So a couple weeks ago a member on these forums (Cheryl Lyons) post pics of her newly fostered pembroke that had 5 puppies. I contacted Cheryl after seeing the photos about adopting one of these cute little pups.

This past weekend my husband and I made the 6 hour trip to pick out our new puppy! :D

Diggory is sleeping up against me as I type this... he's such a sweet little thing. I rescued him from the shelter on Saturday after Ginny and I had finished the Furry Scurry with the corgi team (our team raised over $1500 for the local shelter - woohoo!).

Ginny is in her little puppy bed that she's too big for because she is completely jealous that her BRAND NEW BABY BROTHER was taking a liking to it. That's right, Ginny is a big sister now.
