Foster needed in Minneapolis

So I was on Save-a-Dog today because my virtual foster corgi from California was adopted.  I was searching for a new corgi to virtually foster (Brady and I are still unemployed and our lives are still unstable so I cannot unfortunately foster in real life) and this loving face popped up. http://apps.facebook.com/save-a-dog/facebook/fosters/show/8415432

Crate training

Short post/update

Just wanted to let everyone know, We started crate training our 8 week old Oona the night we got her (Saturday 1-15-11), and tonight is the second night in a row she has "gone to bed" with zero crying/whining!

I don't think 4-5 nights is bad at all! I am proud of my little girl, proud of Nate and Myself for being strong in the face of puppy tears (the most heartwrenching sound I have ever had to endure), and proud of Roslyn for being such a…

A couple of things

First of all, I'm going to be starting up a blog soon on http://mydogisfunsized.blogspot.com .  Right now I'm working on making a background for it, and because it is called "My Dog is Fun Sized", I decided to go with the theme of dogs in chocolate bar wrappers costumes.  I thought it would be fun to come up with some corgi themed candy bar names to put on them. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.  These are the ones that I've…

The Watching, A Corgi Puppy's Christmas Surprise

This book is CorgiAid's new Christmas story for 2010! Some of you may remember the one that was produced last year and it was very successful, for which we are grateful. I am hoping that there is still time to order the book in time for Christmas for you all. If you go to www.corgiaid.org and look for the tab "The Watching" you can still order it and last year's story if you have not seen it yet. I am the author and I think this year's story is even…

Daisy - Such Sorrow

For those of you who have followed my Daisy with her struggles of in and out of the Doggie Hospital. Yesterday she came home just after 11:00 a.m. and by 2:45 she couldn't stand up by herself. I called the Vet and told her I was bringing her back and she said OK she would get a room ready for her. I started my car and went to pick her up and she whimpered as I gently lifted her and she passed away in my arms. I couldn't stop crying. I held and hugged her. She worked so…

Good-bye my boy!

After 4 months of living with us Calvin left today for his forever home! He will have a great life! It makes me sad but at the same time happy as his new owners are wonderful! Every photo I took showed how much they cared for him! They are great! The people have been cut out but Calvin did great walking with his new master! Diggory's first days at home

Diggory is sleeping up against me as I type this... he's such a sweet little thing. I rescued him from the shelter on Saturday after Ginny and I had finished the Furry Scurry with the corgi team (our team raised over $1500 for the local shelter - woohoo!).

I've been thinking about getting a second the last few weeks and I knew I wanted a) a male corgi or corgi mix, b) a younger dog, but not…

Lil' Puppy Brother, Day Two

They've spent the day playing together, and Ginny has toned down her grumbling protests about the baby brother encroaching upon her space. Still without a name, but it will come in time. We think he's definitely a "co-jack" (corgi/jack russell) and he is boingy. Real sweet natured, playful, and mostly housebroken too (but I'm crating anyhow, at least until I know he's more reliable. Here's a pic for everyone to enjoy!…

Ginny's new brother!!

Ginny is in her little puppy bed that she's too big for because she is completely jealous that her BRAND NEW BABY BROTHER was taking a liking to it. That's right, Ginny is a big sister now. We found a little corgi mix at the local shelter. He is about 6 months old and was transfered from another shelter in Kansas. We're trying to think of names for him, and I know this is lame-o, but we have a "theme" of Harry Potter names, so if you have any good ideas... so…

Fluffy Pem boy, 8 years old, ready for a new home

I have Simon, a beautifully bred 8 year old corgi boy who is ready for his new home. He is the fluffiest of the fluffs and carries a gorgeous coat. He was given up by a familly who had a toddler and Simon growls at him. A really neat boy, very pretty, up to date on everything and neutered. You can see his picture at:

He gets along well…

As I sit here I'm about to go into my final week of school and Thur will dive into a mind numbing creation of my portfolio website for graphic/web design.. phew.. So I realized how I will be ignoring my poor babies and remembered that I haven't posted on here in a while lol. The Watching Story is up!

Everyone have a Merry Christmas and I hope you enjoy this year's story. It is my gift to everyone. My hope is that you like the story well enough to buy the book and help to support CorgiAid. It has been a tremendous honor to have this published this year and I could not have done it without the help of my trusty helpers. The blog spot does not feature the art, however, the story is there in its entirely. The artwork is wonderful and we hope to have the last three original pieces up on eBay to… Continue
