The search is on!

This past Saturday, I made a trip to Madison, SD to look at Cricket, a rescue corgi. She was saved from a puppy mill at 4 years old. She sweet, loving, and a little shy. I took Riley and Brandon down to see her at a meet-and-greet at the Pamida. My first reaction of her was she was kind but timid. What surprised me was that after I got Riley out of the car, she came up to him first, instead of Riley making the first move. Riley was in full-on explore mode, and Cricket quietly came upt o greet… Continue

Operation "Miami Girl"

Hey guys, just got back to the HQ. Operation "Miami Girl" was a success! "Penny" was a stray in the streets of Miami, she was picked up by the Miami Dade animal control last week and ended up in a high kill shelter.

This morning Lori busted her out of the shelter, Penny was then transferred to Bill, we met up half way and now she's home with me :) She is a little groggy from getting spayed yesterday, but she has a… Continue

Welcome home, Ein...

It's been a long holiday season. A few weeks before Christmas my girlfriend lost one of her chihuahuas, Lilly. We went to the local shelter every day to look for her, but unfortunately, as of today she is still missing. However there is a bright side to the story. During one of our visits to the shelter a few days before Christmas, I saw an absolutely adorable little brown and white corgi mix who had just arrived and I fell in love with her in an instant. My wonderful girlfriend decided to get… Continue

Be a Hero, Support Corgi Rescue Today!

Mocha was feeling a little bump out today, he told me he misses "Albert" - our recent foster corgi. He said he's happy that Albert gets to go to a new loving home, but what about other less fortunate corgis? Mocha is right! Not all corgis are as fortunate as "Albert"... "May be WE CAN do something about it!" Mocha suggested. So went to the photo studio and did a series of shots. Here are the first two from the series, the first one call "Lending a… Continue

Corgi needs rescued from Peoria Animal Shelter (PAWS)

There is a male corgi who was picked up as a stray and is now at the Peoria, Illinois Animal Shelter (PAWS). He needs a home. The shelter has to keep him for five days to see if his owner claims him, but if they don't he only has a short time. Their telephone number, if anyone is interested, is (309) 494-8700. Does anyone know who does corgi rescue in Central Illinois?

Le-Le 7 months and counting.....

Le-Le has been part of our family for 7 months now and we are having a wonderful time. Each day brings her more out of her shell. She comes to life at dinner time, and right before bed. So funny that she wants to play with her toys then, runs between the bed and other rooms. She steals a sock, a dish towel, napkin out of the laundry basket and runs outside if the door is open, another room or under a sofa to have a quick chew. She notices the leaves falling & tries to catch them. She is so… Continue

Senior corgi needs you

Once again, a beautiful corgi has passed through our rescue. The picture shown on my home page is now of Kelley, and 11 1/2 year old sable female. Her owner is suffering with Altzheimer's and has been relocated to a nursing home. Sadly, no family member was able to take Kelley in and care for her in her twilight years. She is now being looked after by Humane Animal Rescue Team (HART) in Los Angeles. Her bio on their site (http://www.hart4dogs.org/hart_dogs.htm) reads as… Continue

New Foster

On Saturday, May 24, 2008, I will be picking up my new foster-furrball. Pictures will be up by Monday.

CJ is a 13 month old female r/w pembroke current on all shots and has been spayed. She will have an Avid microchip implanted while in foster care.

There are no behavioral issues reported with CJ. The owners have purchased a condo which has no back yard and feel it is unfair to her to keep her in the house while they are at work. She is reported as being housetrained,… Continue
