My husband Bob and I have 2 rescues. Toby is going on 9 (we think) he has arthritis but can give a lil run when he wants to. Lola is 8, she was a puppy mill girl saved by Corgiaid. She is so sweet but doesnt do well with small children. We now have my son's dog Shelby who is 5. She is full of energy!!! She is staying with us as he is in military. They certainly keep us busy and enertained.

Hi everyone. Sophie is my baby...she's a rescue Corgi and is 8 years old. She still acts like a puppy, though...lots of energy, running around, having just a great time!

Hello again (just finished reading the posts),
Bunny also does the 'reverse sneezing', the vet said it might be dust on the floor or an allergy (hmmm . . wonder if she's allergic to our two cats??) We encourage her to stay calm and that seems to help.
She has a lump on one of her mammory glands that needs to be removed soon. The vet just found it and suggested removing the whole gland to be safe and sending it to the pathology lab. Will do in the next few weeks.
We walk almost every morning and evening, about 30 minutes or so each, and go to the dog park every week. She loves to just go anywhere.
We're working on her weight, good thing she loves carrots, romaine lettuce, apples, celery, sweet potatoes (cooked) and other veggies. She has her own veggie garden in the summer so she can eat all the lettuce she wants and leaves ours alone. Raised beds help ; )
She also has her own strawberry bed, sits in it and takes a nip. Also like to eat the tomatoes off the vines. Vet said its ok, but we keep her veggie garden just big enough, but not too big to add too many extra calories.

Hi,
This is Bunny, and she's a bit over 8 years old. She joined our family two years ago, from a breeder in northern California. She was treated for heartworms soon after she came to our house, and is the poster child for heartworm preventatives. She's a delightful corgi (aren't they all??) and we love her to bits.
We're considering adopting another mature corgi, he's 11 and a rescue from the local Pembroke Welsh Corgi group.
Glad we found this group!

Hello
Two senior dogs here- Sooty is 11 and Cindy is 9. Sooty's Dad, aged nearly 15,and half sibling, Mari, aged 13, are still around. Long lived family hopefully

Carly & Libbly...I didn't kow that dogs went gray :( My Butter has reverse sneezing; something common to Corgis, I understand. But coughing/wheezing doesnt' sound like reverse sneezing to me. Maybe you should post a question in the medical forum and ask what the coughing/wheezing is. Joy & Butter

Cindi, what does the "pacing" mean. Does it show he is heading towards some disease? I hope not!!!
