So since it's really cold out and I had to do some shopping I left the dogs home the other day (saves me having to try to bury the groceries when I get out of the car). Sunny and Gizmo each have their own kennel and we have started to leave Zim alone since he has been trustworthy. I figured at the most he would have shredded some paper or maybe had an accident (he adores shredding paper so it wouldn't surprise me). What I came home to was beyond anything I could have imagined. He had gotten…

Hello to all!
My family and I currently have one female corgi and would like to expand our family with another. We are in Reno, NV and to find a good breeder that is not too far away is very difficult. We are willing to make the drive, if need be, but would prefer not to go too far. We would like to get another pup around Christmas or New Years. We would really like a red & white male if possible.
If anyone can help us with this search, it would be appreciated!

I just discovered why Nutmeg is such a picky eater... I have been feeding her the Nutro Natural chicken and oatmeal formula. To get her to eat it I have to doctor it up with cottage cheese or other things. I tried 4 different samples of natural dog foods with high protein and absolutely no grains in them. I put each sample in its own bowl as well as her normal food. She tried to eat all of the samples and left her normal food alone! So now I am feeding her Evo red meat small bites and she has…

George and Rosie went to Bark in the Park and we met some other MyCorgi members and their sweet corgis. We really had a lot of fun even though the weather was really warm.

Our local Petland has had the cutest corgi puppy for almost a month now. My family has named him Oliver and we visit him at least once a week. I feel so bad for him because he is getting bigger and bigger but his cage is not. Everytime my sister or I are in there we carry him around and answer the questions of the people in there because people in this area have no idea what a corgi is. I feel so bad for him and am torn at moments like this. I hate puppy mills and the people that think of…

Well, it's official - 1 week down with lil Stanley. The week has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. I was prepared for puppy motherhood to be tiring. Now I know that may have been a bit of an understatement. Between the nighttime potty breaks, the scrubbing of my carpet to get stains out, the massive amounts of laundry I've done - it's been downright exhausting. On the plus side, I'm bound to lose a few pounds after all the walking up & down my stairs I've done. Note to self -…

Toby and I will be participating in the VPI K9K Pet Cancer Awareness walk tomorrow in Long Beach. 100% of the proceeds will go towards the prevention and treatment of cancer in pets. We're walking for Brandy (our cat and beloved furry family member) who passed away of cancer last year. We miss you Brandy, this is for you.

I'm visiting a friend in KY. I knew Libby would whine the first couple nights, but my grandmother says she's been whining a lot and waiting by the door. Her separation anxiety has gotten worse since we've moved. I have left her with my mom months at a time when I was going to school. Now that she is older and that we've moved, I think she just can't take being away from me any more. Sometimes she won't eat until I get home and pouts when she knows I'm getting ready to leave. I think I'll try…

Brandon and I leave for Las Vegas in 3 days. We'll be heading out Sunday for a stop over at his brother's house for the night. But, with the recent snowy weather that has arrived today, I'm starting to worry that roads are going to be icy. We recently had a few warm days, and that may turn the snow to water, then to ice overnight. About a week ago, we had our first snow of the season with turned out to be a blizzard. I'm hoping this isn't going to be a repeat of that.
If things go…

O.k. when I let my puppies out this morning, my 7month old Snickers ran around the barn and then I saw him come around the other side chasing a skunk!!! It was too funny. Though he did get sprayed....it could have been MUCH worse. I've given him one bath and hopefully that will do it. He really must have avoided the worst of the spray. But it was just such a funny picture to see him running after this little black and white puff ball that was waddling as fast as it could go. Was wondering if…

More and more I find myself knocking leftover food (potatos I didn't want out of stew, the noodles from ramen, the last bit of mac 'n cheese) into my pup's bowl on top of her food. What a bad furmom I've become. She doesn't seem to be gaining wait though... I imagine it's only a matter of time.
I must resist... those corgi eyes...

Today is Ginny's first birthday and we are celebrating!
Ginny gets to go to daycare today and play with all her friends. Her "teachers" all wished her a happy birthday as she got there. She loves daycare so it will be a fun way for her to spend her special day. I brought a cake to the office for my coworkers that is so cute.... It has a big sunshine on it and says "Happy 1st Birthday Ginny". It's a good excuse to eat cake :)
Tonight I have a few little presents for her and then she'll…

Risa grew from puppy to adolescent and we decided to meet his brother's pack to let the two foxes play together and
throw off some of their energy. We went by the car (Risa gets more and more comfortable - no throw-ups in the car) and visited a beautiful village set in a countryside full of ponds, forests and hills. Risa and his brother Figo started playing…

So when I finally got Boomer home, the very first day, he fell asleep in the middle of living room and stayed there for 2-3 hours, giving me more than enough time to grapple with a hideous case of buyer’s remorse/OhwhatthehellhaveIdone!
One of the first things you notice about puppies is their incredibly sharp teeth. Like needles, they are. And Boomer, very quickly (like instantaneously), developed a toe fetish. He’d never met a toe he didn’t like…or want to put in his…

Today was the first day Tod spent most of the time off the leash inside the house. He was exploring more of the house, while I was following him being ready to correct any unwanted behavior. If the stop by any vertical object was too long I'd get his attention and redirect him. Tod knows his new name now and responds to 'come' command every time. Liver treats help a great deal with reinforcing positive actions.
He's gotten a little better with walking without pulling today. I took…

Slowly but surely our family is settling back into the "norms" of life after bringing Sir MacKellen home last Friday. That first night was exciting, tense, scary, wonderful, happy, and any other emotion you can think of. Between "Mac" getting used to his new home and Asher, and Asher getting used to Mac, and me trying to watch both Mr. HUGE *Asher is 120 lbs* around Mac *5 lbs*... lets just say my heart was in my throat for more than most of the night. Also getting to sleep was really rough.…

It is really amazing how quickly a little corgi can go from being on top of the world to feeling not so hot. Sunday was a very typical day. We went to the barn, I let the bangers run loose out in the fields so they could get their run on. And then in the tack room for a nap while I rode. When we got back home, I ran errands while the corgis rested. By the time I got home that evening, I could tell Molly was not feeling well. She wanted to go outside constantly, and she was whining. When we went…
