Sharing the love of Corgis!

I just wanted to thank everyone for becoming my friends in advance, It's great to meet other fellow Corgi lovers.  To share something we all so much enjoy as our beloved family member and pet.  I absolutely love to help in anyway I can in regards to the Corgi breed.  Whether it be; swapping knowledge, sharing photos, stories, and or the chance to just learn more.  Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing from you and being your new friend.

Blessings,

Tracy…

The DNR question...

And I don't mean the Department of Natural Resources!

Roslyn went in this morning for her yearly dental. When we adopted her she had REALLY bad teeth. So we have been doing everything in our power to delay natural decay. We brush *almost daily, she gets chews to help her teeth, we got her the shot that helps keep dental bacteria down (I can't remember what the shot is called), and she goes in for a yearly cleaning.

Two months ago she broke one of the tips off her back…

Random Cuteness (FRAC)

I got Scout to howl for the first time for me today!!!!

I guess she thinks she is a wolf now because:

There is this video on youtube called "Timber Howling" of a wolf-dog howling.  She has never howled when I let her listen to corgis howl.  She listens, and tilts her head from side to side, but is a VERY quiet corgi.  But for some reason, this wolf finally got through to her.

Please vote for Stanley

We're trying to win the chance to be on a Bissell vacuum box.  You know how much vacuuming us corgi owners do!  Please vote for Stanley.  And so far it looks like all the weekly winners have been cats.  We need some dog representation, don't you think??

Growling Measures

Ok so im starting to think my Aunt's Golden Retriever and her pugs are a bad influence on Ace.. they arent very well trained and the oldest pug is sorta behaived but she barks at nothing...

Ok so this is why i say this... Ace never used to be scared of big dogs.. he never used to growl at other dogs... I know he only growls cuz he wants to tell others he is there... but people think he is a mean dog and the family and I know he isnt... he loves EVERYONE.. especially babies~ (moms…

It's that time.

They grow so fast when they're puppies that you really have to be diligent about updating their pictures on the microchip company profile. I updated Ein's Home Again profile pic today. When was the last time you did?

Chewie's Ear

Chewie's ears have always been soft.  After a long day of play fighting with Yoda. His left ear started to flop down on Sunday!  I suspect he played too hard and slightly injured his ear, however, there is no swelling.  He is not in pain or anything like that.  I taped his ear up to act as brace/cast and wait for him to heal.  I am also getting him some calcium supplement for him to build up the cartilage in his ear.

Is there anything else I can do to make sure his ear will…

Jealous question w/ buying 2nd Corgi?

I'm thinking about buying my 2nd corgi within the year. However, I am VERY close with my corgi, Annie. She goes with me everywhere and absolutely loves every bit of my attention and misses me completely when I'm gone (So I'm told from my mom when I leave the house every time for work). Was anyone else worried when they got their 2nd corgi that the first one would get really jealous and upset? I'm just trying to think of Annie in this also..I don't want her to feel left out or upset in…

Skateboard Overexcitement

ein gets overly excited by skateboards. I can tell because he starts barking when the board makes the scratching sound. How do you deal with this one?

Happy First Barkday to Søren!!!

Søren was born on February 6, 2010.  I picked him up 9 weeks later, and my whole life was changed.  Søren's my first corgi and my first dog, but he's been very patient with me.  He was the only thing that kept me sane when I was bedridden with a herniated disc!  He's gotten to be a very big boy, but he still wants to sit in my lap.  He's the best!

Søren got a new big boy dog bed for his barkday.  Tomorrow, he will see some of his pals at the dog park and eat his special…

Foster needed in Minneapolis

So I was on Save-a-Dog today because my virtual foster corgi from California was adopted.  I was searching for a new corgi to virtually foster (Brady and I are still unemployed and our lives are still unstable so I cannot unfortunately foster in real life) and this loving face popped up. http://apps.facebook.com/save-a-dog/facebook/fosters/show/8415432

Jon Farleigh earned his Canine Good Citizen (CGC) ceritifcation!

So proud of my fluffy boy, Jon Farleigh! After nine months of training and hard work, he tested yesterday for AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and was certified.  Now we have the foundation to move on to therapy certification.  YAY!

BTW -  His merle brother, Dewi, is still working on his manners and if all goes as planned, will take the CGC test in May.

When do you draw the line in the sand?

I was down at my local pet store picking up a few things for the dogs when I came across a moral dilemma. I was looking all over the store for Pedigree Dentasticks. I like to break them in half and give them to our three corgi's when we go out' Well anyway I gave up and ask the girl at the register where they were. Well, she went into this long diatribe about how they don't carry any of the Pedigree product because they use inferior products and how the store only carries top of the line items… Continue
