Happy belated Valentine's Day from Sidney and Connie

I took Sidney and Connie to a doggie Valentine's Day party, and we visited the photo booth :)

That totally focused look on Connie's face? The photographer had a squeeker, haha. Connie is NUTS for a squeeker!

Chow Hound Without an Appetite

My Corgi Lola tends to act like a chow hound by making sure to eat all of her food in one sitting and even lick all of the crumbs out of the bowl.  However, this past week she has been barely touching her food, won't eat it all in one sitting, and spills her water all over the place.  Normally we can't do anything to get her away from her dish until everything is gone but now we can't seem to do anything to get her to go to her dish in the first place...  Since we live over an hour from the…

Puppy/Rabbit relations

So last night at about 1am my husband and I took our rabbit, Gregory to the animal hospital because we were worried about him given that he hadn't eaten any of his hay or veggies. We even gave him a strawberry (his favorite) and he refused it. He had been this way for several hours and his temperature was off as well. Having lost our other Corgi last December we are still a bit gun shy when it comes to our pets health. So, if for no other reason than to calm our nerves we went to the…

Cruising Dog Friendly

Hi All

My next question we all vacation right! we even take our dogs on vacation with us right!. Why is there not a cruise company out there that is dog friendly well within reason!. My partner Paul and I love cruises!. We have to get someone in to dog sit for us while we are away God forbid I would never put my guys in a kennel. I saw the look on the guys faces as we were leaving for the ship I almost didn't go!.

It cant be that hard as you would need a Balcony suite…

Getting Spayed Today

I dropped Ellie off at the vet this morning to get spayed.  I'm not sure which one of us is the bigger wreck.  Ellie hates new people/places.  I hate putting her through something painful and scary.  I tried not to show it because the Alpha dog is supposed to be strong, but I might have failed there.  The vet tech could definitely tell I didn't want to leave her.

I know it's healthier for Ellie.  I know this is routine.  I know dogs bounce back quickly.  But I'm worried for my girl,…

Corgi's are our children!.

It's amazing when I read all the comments people write about our beloved corgi;s the kids as I refer to them as!. It also saddens me when I read about people who harm animals it makes my blood boil!. In Oscar's 10 years I have never raised a hand to him and never would I growl and he knows by the tone of my voice he has done something wrong!.

Look we all make rules no dogs on the furniture! no dogs on the beds!. But how long do those rules last 5 minutes! Yes!. You get that little…

Goro the Japanese corgi still needs his operation.

Goro (the Japanese corgi on YouTube) still needs everyone's love and support to get his operation. His PayPal account is up and running and donations can be sent to: siro_wan@yahoo.co.jp

I'm posting this to remind everyone of this dear little corgi's need. He's very beautiful and precious and I know if you watch any of his videos on YouTube you will fall in love with this very special little guy.

Microchipping/AKC

I DID warn you there'd 'prolly be lots of questions coming ;)

With the registration there's an option of Lost and Found. How many of you selected that option? Did you have your Corgi microchipped before you registered?

And do you feel microchipping is worthwhile?.

To couch or not to couch.....that is my question.

When we got Gwen, they had been allowing her on the furniture. We had discussed that we didn't think it was the best idea.

I know she's young enough to break of the habit, but those brown eyes.....

What are your opinons on this? Does jumping up and down on furniture put undue stress on them? I know they aren't china but would hate to think of putting her at any risk of injury,

When growing up with dogs they were always allowed on the furniture, until my mom's…

A question for all corgi owners does anybody know the answer?.

Hi All,

A question that somebody maybe able to confirm?.

My Vet told me when Oscar was a puppy at his first visit to the vet you will notice the white marking on the back of Oscars head. My vet referred to it as the Duchess's thumb print and that it was a sign of good luck for Oscar!. Can anybody confirm this and let me know. I do know from his Pedigree Papers that on his father's side his Great Great Grandfather was from Queen Elizabeth's Royal Corgi's!. This…

Corgi's Dogs or Human!!!

Hi All,

After becoming a member on my corgi.com and reading some of the stories of owners and their Corgi's It brings home to me something my Grandfather said to me many year ago dogs are more human than human's!. I agree I've had Oscar for 10 years this month and he is amazing!. They say read your dog they are a good judge of people!. Oscar's nature is more human than canine! he knows if my Partner Paul and I have had a hard day at the office we come home he will along with Sam our…

Survival Collar- Make Your Own (or make one for your dog)

I made a survival collar for Snickers. The picture below is a survival bracelet; they are becoming very popular. You can unravel them and have 8 feet of strong rope (parachute cord or paracord) to use for whatever. A corgi collar will give you 12 -15 feet of rope and only cost a few dollars and an hour to make. I used the tutorial by Knot the Ordinary on…

My return to MyCorgi.com

First I'd like to say hello;  I was a member of MyCorgi in the past when we got our first little girl, Domino. We had her for 5 years and she was awesome. She was so fun and energetic and she was always a happy puppy. Unfortunately she passed away last December and we mourned her absence profoundly. We still miss her, and we know she can never be replaced, but the house had grown too quiet and we knew the love of a Corgi is what we needed.

We have had our new little guy Jase (AKA JJ)…
