My 12 week old puppy is still having trouble with house training. Does it take some pups longer to learn the ropes or am I doing something wrong?

We took Buddy and Chase to our local dog park this afternoon. We don’t do this often; in fact, it has been quite a long time since we took them to a park to roam free. This is probably why we are having a problem. Buddy (8yrs old) was socialized a lot as a puppy and he could really care less about other dogs. He will go up and sniff them but will lose interest quickly. Chase (7yrs old) is another story. He didn’t get socialized much as a pup. He is pretty good with other dogs about his size…

My vision of the perfect life is to live in a countryside cottage surrounded by trees and flowers and grass, with a narrow stream of water flowing gently by.
The neighbours will be friendly, and there will be a lovely local pub where people hang out and chill.
And i will keep three Pembroke Corgis who're lively and playful and perhaps a golden retriever (though I am afraid being a pushover breed he's probably gonna be bossed over by the corgis), and there will be a field for…

LeeLoo's newest most favorite pastime, while out on her after breakfast potty break, is to sniff the yard for rabbit poop. If she happens to find some, she gobbles it right up. This disgusts me and I understand that dogs aren't people, but I'm more concerned about there being something toxic in the poop that will make her sick.
I've tried to follow her around and nudge her along when she finds a 'stash,' but she just hops on ahead and finds some more. We live in a semi-wooded area…

So, I've been looking for fun activities for my corgi, and I've run across "Boomer Balls" - Looks like they can be used for herding. I'm wondering if any of you have tried Boomer Balls or something like it and how well your corgi plays with it!
Thanks!

Sitting at home alone right now, and thought this maybe the best place to vent,
I adopted Link from a kill shelter on 7/7/11, He quickly had a place in my heart. I had never met a dog like him, so well mannered, just wanted to be loved at all times. 2 weeks after having him he began vomiting, and vomiting and vomiting. I took him to the vet they thought he had…

Over the past 12 years or so, we have had the honor of sharing our home with three corgis. Jerry, who was very smart and stubborn. Lulu was an "alpha-female," and very athletic. And then there's Pippy, very docile (except when she gets excited), and well... not exceptionally bright, at least by comparison. However that doesn't prevent her from being ultra-adorable; in fact, I think it adds to the cuteness.
Every so often Pippy's comparative lack of brain power, and…

I have two naughty, naughty corgis who are lucky that they aren't in a box in the front yard that says "free to a good home."
First, I come home and they EATEN one of my special sandals, the expensive ones that I brought back from Venezuela. Now, they aren't big chewers normally, so I've gotten lax about leaving things out. This upsets me, but it's partially my own faulty. Today, I come home and they have DUG ANOTHER SPECIAL PAIR OF SANDALS out of the closet and eaten them up.…

As some of you might know, Sidney is a certified therapy dog with Love on a Leash. After my Mom passed away from cancer last year, I decided I'd sign him up to volunteer at North Coast Hospice.
Today the Hospice hosted Camp HOPE, a daylong camp for children with cancer and their families. Since Sidney was already in their system, complete with…

So, I was sitting on my favorite chair in my patio, enjoying the early morning with my Pupsters when I see an old truck drive really close to my fence (my house is a corner lot and I have an alley way next to one side of my house). I thought this "man" was going to try to get figs out of my tree that hangs over my fence. Little did I know that he was about to throw something out of the back of his truck hard against my…
