This is because I didn't get to post photos of him during his welcoming post :)
In the second photo you can see his chewed up ears and the ring around his neck where the collar was :(
The first photo you can kind of see the bites in the front of the ears as well. Those are gone now. This was sent to me while the boy was out there checking Charlie out at his old home. The last is at his old home.
He is doing a lot better now - fur is growing into the ears and his…

I have noticed now for the last month that he's got a very cute long strand of hair growing out of his nubbin. I don't know why it's growing there or if it's a usual thing to happen. I'm gonna assume that its because his nub will grow along with how the rest of him will. Either way, I think it's really adorable.…

When we walk my dogs all seem to want to leave P-mails all over the neighborhood. If one goes, they all have to. A guy once told me that this is unhealthy for them. Has anyone else ever heard that? I will probably ask next time we go to the vet but fortunately no one needs to right now. (watch, I probably jinxed us)

Hey everyone, Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Kind of no reason with out a dog to post about (even though everyone is totally awesome). School also has been a huge factor. School work is more important than sitting on the computer... Am I crazy?
Also I hope everyone is doing well.

Billy is 4 months and he just lost his first tooth.
My boyfriend's friend, Garryn was holding Billy and had a bone in his hand that Billy was chewing on. I look over and see blood on his shirt and then a tooth....O_O I flipped out! I was overly emotional today and everything was making me upset. But my boyfriend, James, said he looked up info. on dogs loosing their teeth and calmed me down before I got mad at Garryn. I looked up more discussions on this topic on the site and I'm ready. I…

We are getting closer to moving into our new house in the next couple of weeks. This is going to be very nice since the kids (both two and four legged) are going to have almost four acres to play on. I personally can't wait since we got a ticket a few weeks ago for our dogs barking even though the cop couldn't be for sure it was our dogs that were barking. We live in town and the house on one side of us has a dog, the house behind us has three (a great dane and two collies) and the two houses…

Shiro is 6 months (today actually wow) and till last week he's been very good in terms of not peeing at home. A few days ago he had 2 accidents in one day in the bedroom. We usually try to keep him out of there because our bedroom is a mess (not my fault) and he always finds something to steal. He's allowed in there if one of us is with him. I think that might be the reason why he decided to use it as his bathroom. Something like "Oh, I don't eat or play or sleep in this room, so why not pee in…

I hope someone out there can cure my worries. We got a new corgi in February. He seemed very normal till now.
He is 8 months old and his weight is about 12 pound. We saw a corgi over the weekend the same age as Max and he was twice his size and weight. Do I have a mini Corgi? The breeder just keeps saying he is going to be small.

Abbi joined us Sunday afternoon and has already established herself as a force.
Another "farm dog" corgi ... this little Pembroke was born 8 weeks ago and while we are never going to "replace" our first beloved corgi Chloe', Abbi has a similar background from a small farm in northwest washington, her parents were clearly very busy and she was born in the stable next to the horses. (not so sure this is important)
Abbi seems to be bold and yet has been appropriately submissive with our…

We'll always remember our precious Rosie. She was a sweet, docile yet crafty pup. She had a dark red/burnt orange glamour coat and was named after the 2006 UT Rose Bowl Championship. She was my perfect dog. She left us much too early and is dearly missed. Rosie, you'll always be in our hearts (6/10/2005 - 7/9/2009).
However, our family is clearly not complete without a corgi and we have a new addition to our family. Millie has just joined us at 12 weeks old and she has already…

Merlin was entered in his first ever agility trial this past Sunday at Flash Point Agility. It was a CPE trial, and the scary part was that it was held outdoors. On a farm. With sheep. Merlin *loves* sheep.
Amazingly, Merlin didn't seem freaked out at all by the setting. He normally is pretty leery of new stuff and new places, but he didn't bat an eye. He has been known to sit down and scratch his ear furiously when he's nervous or stressed, and he didn't do that once. So I feel like…

Winston has been my ever constant companion now since May 1. He is officially eight months old and VERY wise. His newly acquired name is: "Houdini" as he is very talented at escape from wherever he is and doesn't want to be!!! I love watching this dog be soo cute!! He makes me laugh and gives so much Joy. How do people survive Life w/out a Corgi??
No one is a stranger @ my house-but expect to "announced" loudly by Winston. He loves living at the Lake and swims now at least three or…

Happy birthday Leo. Hard to believe he is already a yearling. Randy and me are going to try to make this a special day for big brother. I'm thinking some steak for supper and cake with ice cream. Maybe a bone from the butcher shop would be nice too. They do grow up so fast.

Someone mentioned to my husband that there are recreational Corgi "herding camps" . Are there such places? I would love to see Gretzky live his dream!

I'm new to the mycorgi site but not to corgis.
However! We have a new corgi pup (10 weeks old). Our last corgi died at 10 years, so I'm a bit out of practice with the ears.
At what age should I see his ears starting to stand up? Is it required that I tape them? I don't remember taping our old corgi's ears, but I am wondering if I need to tape our pup's ears.
Any advice would be helpful.

So I thought I would post about Stella's new favorite game because it has not only been good for her, but also for me since it tires her out quickly! I used to play fetch with various toys and a tennis ball, and then one day I threw all of the tennis balls from the can for her to chase. She's hilarious because she goes crazy trying to herd them--she's like a little goalie! I play this with her on the deck since I only have a small yard that is not fenced in. I walk her a lot in the neighborhood…

So, it's only about a month or less until the litter is born! We're down to crunch time, now. I'll be going to meet the Corgiparents this month, and then again up there to select what I hope to be my pup! Names have been picked. He shall be named "Yojimbo", or "Yoji" for short. I'm so nervous and excited at the same time. Lurking on this site has helped alot, but I'm still a little slow on a few things. I think I have a handle on it, though. I'm going to crate train my pup, first of all. I've…

We finally got over to PetSmart and grabbed a few things for Mischa. Turns out she loves the Greenies Pill Pocket treats (though we don't hide pills in them. We wad them up so they can fit in her tiny mouth.) And because of those, we only had one accident in the house yeasterday! We also picked up a leash and collar for her (both from the cat side of the store, the bell helps keep track of her) and a training book for me. So far today, she's been a perfect angel and is watching the Incredible…

My human family and I went to our hometown of Junction City, Kansas last week. While there we got to spend time with two of Twinkie's relatives at my mom's house. Barbie and Tater both come from the same breeder in Wamego, Kansas were we got Twinkie. (You can see their pictures on our page.) They were our inspiration to get our own corgi and we had such a good time getting to know them better. Tater is a lot like Twinkie with lots of energy and not much time for hugs. Barbie, on the other hand,…
