Hi corgi lovers,
I am hoping that you will all take time to go visit the Corgi Aid online Auction. This annual event is great fun, gives you the opportunity to purchase hard to find corgi items and helps rescue corgis and corgi mixes all over America. Being a long time rescuer I must tell you that many of the corgis that are rescued would not have been as fortunate without the financial assistance of Corgi Aid. The helpful folks at Corgi Aid also provide a grand service of having a cart…

I just read about Maddie and Jack and I had just got done cleaning up dog vomit (cat poop) off my leather car seats and clean blanket that I just put in yesterday! Bella must have gone all over while I was at work(she was with me) and took delicacies out of each cat box and puked about 60 second after getting in the car!!! Then when we got home Armani my Aussie who was also with dragged his leash through this mess spreading it even further so it dropped onto the floor and frame! Guess I should…

Next Saturday is Bella's graduation from Petsmart's puppy training class. Since we missed three of the eight classes, our trainer took some time today in class to review a few things with us. Bella and I have to work super hard this week so she can graduate with the rest of her class.
Though Bella is behind in class, I feel that we're making progress in getting her better socialized. She actually played today with the other puppies. She got a little overwhelmed by the end of class…

The breeder said he did excellent at the vet. And I am almost done shopping for supplies, all I really need is a small food bowl that will fit in his crate, the ones my girlfriend bought me from ohmydogsupplies.com were to big and seems to better suit him for when he is grown. I got really lucky as far as the crate goes. I found one for 10 dollars and it is 36 x 24 x 26, it seems big enough right now. Will it be a good one for later on?
and without further wait, here is his latest…

While we were out playing with the dogs, Maddie rolled in something. Based on how her fur smelled when she came in, I'd say that something small died, and then something larger peed on it.
I think that in the world of Dogdom, that's the equivalent of winning the PowerBall. She was so proud!
Needless to say, two dogs had baths this evening.
Madison was not happy.…

Hi, just wanted to remind everyone that CorgiAid has several fundraisers over the next several weeks. They can be read about on today's post at
www.thewatchingstory.blogspot.com. These events all help to raise money for medical help for homeless corgis in need, whether as simple as the homeless corgi getting vaccinated, or as involved as large…

I just wanted to share this with everyone because its depicted so well in the new movie 2012 which is in theaters. Of course 2012 is about the theory that the world will end on December 21,2012. Well they go to save the presidents of each country and fly them to a safe army base. Well the movie is already very good plus i love John Cusack's acting. It was icing on the cake when they showed a shot of the Queen getting off a plane and she had her corgis with her! I went crazy when i saw this…

So the other night we were watching TV when we hear Ashton let out a little yelp. He was under the coffee table and came scampering out and up on the couch. He had his Nylabone with him and I thought he might have bitten down on it in a funny way and hurt himself. I give him my usual once over and he seemed fine and wasn't upset so I let it go. A few minutes later I look down and see this:
Aargh! Swollen face! The only thing I can come up with is…

Arizona animal shelters announced today that they will be putting down around 67 animals tomorrow because of lack of space. Romeo has one blue and one brown eye.
Romeo ear is slightly bigger than another corgi we meant.
Romeo has only 9 nails. His right paw thumb nail doesn't grow. It is it just me or is romeo handicap. LOL
I was wonder if your corgis are hmm special and unique like Romeo ;D

When I adopted my first dog, a Black Lab/Dalmatian mix at four months, I began training her right away. She knew most of the basic commands, and she learned with lightning speed. Even now at two years, she's still soaking up new commands like a sponge. It's amazing to watch her! With Bella though, she doesn't seem to catch on. She'll finally understand a command, so I move on to the next step and she'll look as if she forgot the last step. I know she didn't forget, but we're constantly…

Two dogs, two crates. You would not think it would be that difficult.
Jack's crate has been in our breakfast nook since we brought him home. When he was younger, we had his exercise pen in there too, but we put that away when he no longer needed it.
When Maddie came to live with us, we set the exercise pen back up in the breakfast nook so she'd have some more space to move around, since we needed to keep them separated when no one was home. We left it up through her spay…

Last night when Ron was petting Penny he felt a small growth on her side. It is below the fur, is about the size of a pea, and you can move it around. Has anyone had experience with this type of thing. Should I bring her to the vet or watch to see if it will go away on it's own? Any advice/ideas would be great...thanks!

Wynstan's breeder has him on Nutrena Loyall Puppy Feed, and I can not get it anywhere near me, I really don't want to drive 80 miles to a town just for kibble when some stores around here sell seemingly better food.
My question is: is it difficult getting a puppy to change kibble?

I know it's not something I should get excited about but I am! I received a call today from a nearby humane society that has 2 Corgis being surrendered on Fri. These are retired breeding Corgis and are 4 years old soooo I am happy to be able to help one of them start their new life as a family pet! So in a couple months I hope to be posting a "home wanted" for which ever young lady I get!

Well, I have been searching Petfinder.com for an adult male corgi for a while now, and last week I found one that sounded perfect. Well, we went to my parent's house for the weekend and we were going to visit the shelter while we were there since it was closer to their house than to ours. Once we got to my parent's house, I was so excited to show my mom the picture on Petfinder, so I opened up the internet, but I was very upset to find that he had just been adopted that day.
I have…
