DOOOOLEY!!!!!!!!!! HE'S HERE!

Oh, my gosh -- you all can't believe how I feel right now -- a sudden wave of mixed emotions has taken my breath away to find Dooley on here! I'm crying and really don't have much to say because the words are hard to come by -- I will talk with everyone later.

Help Finnigan Be A Winner!

Finn is entered in the Natural Balance World's Most Amazing Dog Contest and as we get close to the end of voting, I thought I'd ask our MyCorgi family to cast there votes. His odds of winning aren't great since some dogs have over 1000 votes but what the heck, let's give it a shot. :)…

Definitely a pair...

Bear was a terrible car rider when he was a pup - would sit in the seat and whine and cry. He got over it by about 4 or 5 months, and I was glad. Goldy has also been a bit of a nightmare in the car, so much drama.

On Saturday I was going to see a friend and her new baby about an hour north of here and I decided to take Goldy on her first "long" car ride. She was in the backseat with a blankie and a chew. She cried the entire way up and back - nothing loud and dramatic, just the… Continue

Maddie's Halloween Costume

For Halloween this year I wanted to improve on Maddie's costume from last year. Last year she was a witch, and she was fine with her cape but wasn't too happy with her witch-mask. So, this year, I got her witch hats - one with braids and one without. I can't decide which one I like better, they both make her look adorable! Here they are:…

Pup Update!

Dexter has been doing great! He finally got to meet my parents a couple of weeks ago when they came down to visit. They aren't dog people, but they immediately fell in love with him. After all, what's not to love?

Dexter has been doing great as far as training. He was completely potty trained after 5 months. He chewed his first pair of Nine West pumps a month ago, but it wasn't his fault. I left him alone in the "center room" - a room we gate off for him to chill in while we are gone… Continue

Goodbye, Dooley -- Part 2

After reading all the kinds words, I feel it is necessary to clarify my anger -- I was crying when I wrote the first part, and probably left out details and confused a lot of readers.

First of all, there is not one person on this site that I am angry with. All of you, beginning with Sam Tsang and his wife, stepped up to the plate to help me get this dog to safety. It is the people behind the scenes I'm angry with -- including myself.

Second of all, Dooley is not yet with… Continue

A busy year!

Well, it has been a busy year. Molly and Tigger have been very busy too! They are the best of buddies. They spend their days napping, running around in the backyard, and going to the barn. This summer they went to a horse show together and they did so well! They have a human cousin, and they are very gentle with him. I am so pleased that they are good with children!

They get along so well that they have many, many nicknames. Most of them having to do with their bad behavior :( While… Continue

Goodbye, Dooley -- I will always love and remember you!

On Saturday, October 31st, (Halloween) Dooley was taken to Texas to be adopted. I didn't pre-post or discuss this ahead of time, as I didn't want to vacillate and question myself in self torment. Now, that I'm home, slept for a few hours after a long road trip, am drinking coffee while Topaz and Frankie are outside enjoying the beautiful weather and sunshine, I'm actually tormented anyway.

After 2 1/2 months of fostering Dooley, awaiting placement, getting excited because a space… Continue

When did yours change?

I was wondering when you guys noticed your corgi changing into the temperament of an adult dog. My little guy is exactly 11 months old now, and I'm noticing a few more laid back tendencies in him, however, he is nowhere close to calm. In fact, recently, you can't turn around and trust him near any shoes.

My trainer said not to expect him to be tempered as an adult until 2 years of age. I can tell Rocky isn't done growing (he's only 23 lbs) but I was wondering if you guys knew what to… Continue
