I am looking for anyone who took pics at the picnic in Melbourne, FL? And to anyone in the Cocoa Beach area - we are having a Xmas party at the Lori Wilson Dog Park on Sunday at 3pm. Everyone is asked to bring food, blankets, and such for the humane society. All is welcome and Bucky and I hope to see you there!

Well quite a few new events in the last few days. Ceiro got his first bath this weekend. [as you can see in the couple of pics I posted] He wasn't real fond of it but he did ok with it. Later that same day he discovered how to "work" the stairs. So I had to stick a gate up. I am letting him go up them with me, but not coming down yet. His balance is much better but I'm worried he might tumble coming down.
Today he had his first visit to the vet. Just his next round of vaccinations.…

Man, it has been forever since I posted an update on Dally's agility!! Sorry I've been such a slacker lately, but life has been crazy busy for me, and I haven't been on MC.com in a long time.
Dally and I have been consistantly competing at agility trials at least once a month, mostly AKC. She has earned her Open Standard title, and is one leg away from earning her Open Jumpers title. We've competed in Excellent Standard A at a couple of trials now, and find that the courses aren't…

Recently my man and I bought a projector for our living room in lieu of a TV. It's fabulous for watching movies and TV that streams online, but it has created an absolute monster in Griff. He has always had an obsession with
laser pointers - he doesn't stop chasing it long after it has disappeared - but this is something new.
We control the projector through a laptop. The mouse we use is projected to maybe 4" in height on the wall (which serves as our screen), and it drives…

On Saturday, hubby and I decided to "let go" of the leash at the grassy area near his old junior high. There were a few other people there: one perfecting his golf swing., a couple men flying RC planes and an owner training his golden retriever off leash. I thought these distractions would send Trice everywhich way, but surprisingly, he was very focused on us!
The moment we unclasped the leash, we let him run wild. I could see his corgi smile shine through, knowing he wasn't…

Squee! Just talked to the breeder, and I can pick up Puppy To Be Named Later on Friday -- can't wait!!!
Ahem. Anyway, back to the story, which I'd better finish before I have a puppy to distract me --
After fabulous Sherry's last days, my family moved to Tennessee. I started a new school in a whole new state without the moral support of a dog. Y'know, looking back, I know that it was only about four months between Sherry's death and Taduh's introduction to our family, but…

Haven't posted in some time, so I figured I'ld give everyone a quick update. Luna (aka Miss Tunes) has been doing very well. The last few weeks shes gotten to spend a lot of time with her big brother Buddy due to me moving. Which has actually worked out really well. Buddy put on a few to many pounds over summer (he's very furry and doesn't do well in the heat) so all the exercise an almost 11 month old puppy can give him has done wonders for his weight. Although, I don't know how much he…

Yay, Cobi finally got his new wheels today. He really seemed to take to them quite well with the help of treats and his ball. It was so awesome to see him be able to walk & even run around on his own. He was able to chase his ball and take a short walk in the neighborhood. He even showed off his new wheels to a couple of our neighbor friends. We just kept him in it a short time as he tired fairly quickly since he hasn't been able to walk for about a month and a half now, so we need to build…

What are the dangerous substances pets should avoid during the Christmas holidays?
Holiday hazards include:
- Christmas tree water, which may contain fertilizers and bacteria that can upset the stomach if ingested (emph. mine)
- Electrical cords
- Ribbons or tinsel, which can become lodged in the…

This year Dudley participated! We've been having some training issues lately plus my husband was in the hospital after the last trial so our training plan got scrapped. Because of all this I didn't get Dudley weaving by the time the trial rolled around, so I didn't plan on running him. The issue we've been working on is Dudley running out of the ring during a run. If Dudley sees what he considers an exit, he takes it. I discussed it with my instructor and we decided that it would be best not to…

Well, it has been an extremely long two days. We picked our baby up from the cargo shipping facility (i.e. airport) Friday night. She was scared, covered in poo, and starving, but she made it okay. We got her home, bathed her, fed her, and played with her. Yesterday was her first full day with us, and she's clearly bonded with us. She alternatively sleeps hard and plays hard. Also, she definitely will tinkle on the floor the moment you aren't looking, so we have to watch her like a hawk.…

Tonight it started snowing here in central New Jersey (I'm used to snow starting in October back home in Ohio so this was NOTHING) and my Molly, who is 10 months old, finally got to see her first snow. It was really slippery on the grass, so she was sliding everywhere...since the pine cones that she usually plays with were covered in the snow, she just started running around like a mad woman and chasing the snow flakes...one of the cutest things I've ever seen! She then proceeded to start…

I have an 11 week old Cardi boy. We got him at 8 weeks and he has grown so much in that short time. The only thing that hasn't changed at all are his potty habits. He has never pooped inside but he pees every chance he gets. It is not always a full on pee, but often just dribbles that occure while he's walking, while he's sitting or even while he's laying down (which results in a yellow belly we just can't seem to get clean). He knows to go potty outside because as soon as we set him down…

Newborn Bindi
Well, we delivered our littlest puppy to her new owner, a nice young man in Berkeley tonight. He seemed really happy to have her and had done lots of Corgi research, asked all the right questions, was well prepared and excited to jump into the satisfying world of Corgi Ownership. I certainly am missing her goofy little face! The house is emptier without her trembling little presence. But we still have 3 puppies left,…

I heard puppy food makes them grow faster, is this true? My corgi is 9 months, can I switch him to Adult food? What are the pros/cons of switching?

This hasn't been a good week for Max. We had the cactus day. The Mom's mad cuz I peed on the floor (again) days. Today we had the cats. Max was at the bottom of the stairs the cats at the top. They didn't want Max to come up. They hissed, growled and swated. Max didn't know what to think of the whole thing. They have never ganged up on him before. It took him about 30 minutes to get up stairs.

My puppy's breeder keeps adding updated photos to her website, and now my little darling can be seen chowing down on a tiny stuffed cow toy. Awwwwwww! The herding instinct already in evidence!
So -- on with the tale, not to be confused with a tail, which, of course, Pembroke Welsh corgis don't have. Our second corgi was Merry Sherry, and truly, she was a great dog.
Sherry was an outdoor dog except for when she had puppies or when she was recovering from an injury. Yep. We…

Last night, as usual, I put Charlie to his crate, gave him his "sleeping pill" - a kong filled with treats, and wished him "Good night" :). Then I went upstairs to our bedroom.
This morning, exactly as usual, I went down to the kitchen to feed the cat. I always feed the cat first, because she cannot wait. The lights were still off in our living room, but I registered with the corner of my eye that Charlie was, as always in the mornings, in his crate, in his usual "good schoolboy"…

Paul went back to Texas over Thanksgiving. Unfortunately I had to stay behind for school but Miles and I had a wonderful time just the two of us. While Paul was back there his mother found all of Miles' breeder papers and we finally know his official birthday. Miles was born on April 30, 2004. His mothers name is Brychan of Sugarhill and his father's name is Dutton's brewster. It's really nice to finally know all of his background and be able to give him an offical birthday with a little…
