A report on Illinois beaches…
Hi all... We have 2 corgis to rehome. Chloe is a BHT PWC, a yr old and spayed. She's small - maybe 15 to 18 lbs. And she's a blast. We pulled her off Craigslist here from someone who didn't want her with hopes of transporting her to an adoptive home. But when we got her, we found out quickly she was terrified of traveling in the car. We've resocialized her, spayed her, and she's attended my training class. So she's ready for a fur-ever home. The other female is Maddie. She's 6, spayed…

When I bathe Chloe I generally sing "baby baluga", "Shake , Shake, your booty but substitute corgi for booty, and my favorite things. I go to a self service dog wash so I wonder if anyone hears me. I cannot be the only one who sings to their dog.

We came back from a two night trip today and picked up our little girl at the vet (for boarding only). We gave her several toys, blankets and a travel crate to hide/sleep in at night. She seemed happy to see us today, but has vomited twice already and had a loose #2. I figure it's just stress right now. Perhaps cooked rice is the way to go, just in case.

Our Corgi Bruno is ranked 203rd out of more than 8000 dogs in the FIDO Casting Call contest. In order to win he needs to get the most votes.
To vote go to FIDOCASTINGCALL.CA. Enter his name "BRUNO" in the search box. There are 17 dogs named Bruno, but he is the only Corgi. Just click on his image and you will be directed to the voting page.
You can vote once a day until Sept 10.
Thanks…

I live in Vero Beach and my Roxi is a much happier dog after she's been to the groomer. I have her and her brother (a retriever/chow mix that sheds more than any corgi I've seen) bathed and shaved. Rox rolls around, plays more and just seems to be much more comfortable, even though she's an indoor dog. Plus side...the vacuuming of course. Down side? Just make sure to leave some fur around the nub. Shave that area and it's just not a pretty sight.

So we made it out of Mexico with our two Corgis (yea!). However, we have unexpectedly had to deal with skin issues on both of our dogs (once in Tank and twice in Ace). They get white bumps all over their body and develop severe scaling (scales) on their skin. The vet thinks they are allergic to the rag weed in Virginia, but it dawned on me that we switched them from Front Line to Advantix because of the problem with ticks where we live. Besides the Advantix and change in environment,…

I got this from a friend who is a "Dr.Who" fan and knows I am a corgi lover. I wanted to share with all as it brought a smile to my day.Just more proof that our pups really are versitile actors. But we already knew that, didn't we?…

Whew, tomorrow will be an exciting day! My husband and I are getting up early to make the drive from Tampa to Lecanto to meet our baby boy Regi! I know he's only two weeks old, but I just can't wait to see him and possibly hold him. The pictures our breeder has been sending us are too cute! He has lovely black and white coloring, though I don't notice any brown yet. His mother, Blue, is just lovely and has the sweetest, smiling face. I'm so stoked!

Kaylee had her second full day at a daycare facility today. So far they've been great for both grooming (fluffies need some extra care) and giving her a place to hang with other dogs. It's hard to be sure about what would have happened if we hadn't walked her so often on campus to meet people or taken puppy kindergarten, but she has blossomed into an extremely social and energetic 9 month old. From what the people there say she both an unusual cardigan and a bit "crazy" (in a good way).…

If you have not read Bruce Cameron's two books "A Dog's Purpose" and "A Dog's Journey" I highly recommend them.

Was slated that it come to pass
That I would be with yu

August 18th I was up in Chicago for vacation and I thought what better way to start that vacation than with a little day of agility. I took my family out to Manhattan, IL so they could see Baxter run for the first time. We ran four times and it was a blast!
FAST Novice-- We ran our first FAST course ever. I was a little nervous about it as I wasn't sure what the best path would be. We were also walking the Excellent…

IO is a HoneyFox corgi born on June 16, 2012. If you or anyone you know has a puppy from that litter I would love to get in touch with them. Being able to commiserate, talk about health issues as they come up or even arrange play dates would be valuable.

I had a headache Wednesday evening, so my husband volunteered to exercise "my" dog. (we rib each other about each other's dogs) A little later he came in and said "I'm sorry, I broke your dog" , and here she comes, on 3 legs. Fortunately, I regularly read posts on MyCorgi and so knew that it wasn't a rush to the hospital injury. We took her to the vet today (Friday), and he gave her a shot and put her on an…
