We had a Team Low Rider lunch this past weekend, and one of our members is a professional photographer. He offered to take photos of the corgis at his studio after the lunch, since the studio was just up the street.
This is the photo he took...that's my gorgeous baby!
If any of you are in Southern California and want to make an appointment, here is Jeff's website.…

I'm so proud of my baby boy...he received his official Therapy Dog packet today! I couldn't wait to try his vest on him. He liked wearing it and seemed a little put out when I went to take it off of him.
After 6 weeks of class, 10 supervised visits with my daughter, then 10 supervised visits with me, he's been approved! WooT!
Besides the vest (it's a little big on him, but I think the next size down would be too snug…

The Paws in the Park Fund-raiser was this past Sunday. It was a beautiful day!
This is just a part of our team. We had 21 registered team members, of which I found about 15. The corgis got along great and we got a lot of attention! Most of us walked the full 2.5 miles, and the doggies slept really well that night.…

Aren't they gorgeous???
In late March, Sidney and a bunch of his corgi buddies (and several
corgi wanna-bees) will be walking to raise funds for the Escondido
Humane Society. The EHS burned to the ground in 2001, and many precious
dog and cat lives were tragically lost. The EHS has since rebuilt, and
they do wonderful work for dogs, cats and other animals in need in our
community.
Today is a beautiful…

I was inspired by Liz and Tag's beach adventures, and so on a sunny Sunday afternoon I loaded the car up with three teenagers and a very excited Welsh Corgi. I know he was excited because the whirlwind of fur that formed inside my car when we put the windows down was much bigger than usual.
Liz gave me great directions and we found the parking area with no problem, only 30 minutes drive from home. Being a native Southern Californian, I'm used to the beaches being packed, but even on…

Sooo, we're out taking our evening walk. It's a pleasant night and the rain is just a memory. One of our neighbors is getting out of his truck and his wife comes out of the house through the garage, letting their two boxers come out with her. They come straight out to us, but the man right away begins calling them back. The wife says "It's ok, they're friendl..." Bam! One of the boxers had rolled Sidney onto his back and was attacking his underbelly! I hate it when I panic and start…

Boy, it seems on each of our hikes lately we've encountered another creature! This weekend we did a 5-mile hike at an area called Daley Ranch here in San Diego. It's a huge complex of trails through some pretty oak groves and chaparral.
About 2 miles in, I spotted an animal ahead of us on the trail, just trotting along. The view at this area was a long flat meadow, so we could see…

Tonight was the Halloween party at Sidney's obedience school. He went dressed as a lobster! I wish I had thought to look for a fisherman's jacket of chef's hat, hee hee.
There was a trick contest..one for beginning and one for advanced. I was not sure where to enter him and opted for the advanced level. He took second place! I was so proud of the good job he did :)
He did "say hello", "high five" "spin" "down" "bang you're dead" and the "balance the treat on the nose and hold it…

Let me start by saying Baxter was NOT my dog, but a dog that touched my heart.
I brought this photo and article over from www.momentswithbaxter.com.
Baxter was a wonderful therapy dog. I had the pleasure of meeting him at a Humane Society fundraiser last spring. You could just feel the love and peace coming from him...it was amazing. Baxter was my inspiration to get Sidney into the therapy dog program. He will surely be missed beyond words. RIP…
