And apparently the groomer there breeds and shows corgis!! so we were very happy to meet her and she was happy to meet Pooka, whom she called Peanut, because she apparently looks just like him! ("Peanut" is also the common name for the runt of the litter)
I told her, we of course think Pooka is the prettiest (I never can see what's so special about the corgis you see at shows, none are as pretty as Pooka), but asked what she thought. I just never knew what's a fault and what a show…

Le-Le had her 3rd birthday yesterday. Tomorrow is her anniversary of being in our family. In 2008 we picked up a very scared, confused corgi, renamed her and now a year later she is ours completely. She loves my husband and gives him big kisses every morning. This from a dog who was so scared of him the 1st month. On the rare occasion that she barks we get so excited to hear her speak. She does make cute funny noises every morning before we start the day.She comes when I call, will sit on…

On my birthday I wanted to do something I would remember. Since I don't have kids, I decided Jack's name would be perfect. :) Besides, Jack is my child, and I always want him to be with me. <3

but life is about changes. Im so excited to find other corgi fanatics as my friends (most of whom are/were groomers) have a lovehate relationship with corgis.... especially nails on corgis.... I hope soon another sausage will land in my life! :D Then I can throw them in the river to! lol (see below comments)

Today I took Bella for her puppy booster. She just has 1 more to go. They weighed her and she weighs 11 lbs.! I was so surprised since the last time she only weighed 6.4 lbs. My baby's getting bigger but she still looks small to me. She's such a joy, even though she likes to cause a ruckus around here. :) And she has gotten so pretty. Her coloring is so pretty to me. I've never seen a sable corgi before, but she has black markings in the prettiest places. She looks different almost every week.…

We are forever going to be seaching for Bear. I sit here to day crying about him. I have other dogs as well but Bear was my personal dog that was with me when I lost my husband and was my forever dog. The day he came missing tore my heart into pieces. We know the people that stole him from the truck and trailer I saw the day I came home to let him out to go potty. They pulled over by my mailbox and picked my dog up. Now they keep there horses down the street from me. I want my dog back. I don't…

I'm thinking about taking Scout and Bindi kayaking. (Hence the reason why I asked about life jacket sizing.) Has anyone tried to do this with their corgis??? Was it enjoyable? I really would like to take them but I'm not sure how they would do! Do they just sit there????? Any help would be appreciated!

And now a little about my dog ^^
My dog (Nacho) is very bored...and hungry...again...his favorite hobby is begging for food...any food ...
He usually likes to play with a large yellow ball that we had left over from some outside kids toy. He has other toys, but I think that one is his favorite. He can't pick it up tho, (cuz its so big X3)so he usually just kicks it around. LOLz
...my mom just told me…

Hiiii!
So, my person thought it'd be a good idea for me to make friends with other corgi's and their persons, so here I am! My name is Felony, I was born in September 2008 and I'm nuts for cheese. I was the third corgi pup born in a litter of six. My persons-to-be came most everyday to visit us soon after we were born, so we all got to know them pretty early. I must've made a good impression because they knew right away they wanted me! I think it was because I was pretty independent…

I like to share stories about how very smart my dogs are so here is one.
My dogs had a favorite ball that they often "fought" over. A few weeks ago it was getting pretty torn up and was muddy from the yard. I finally decided it wasn't safe and I didn't feel like washing it anyway so I put it up on a shelf in my laundry room which is attached to my dining room. The dogs asked for it several times but I would say "no". They gave up more than two weeks ago.
This morning,…

It’s been pretty wicked cold out in Colorado the last few days, and from what I understand, it’s been pretty cold just about everywhere! Last night, in particular, I just couldn’t get warm. My feather comforter is at the cleaners, so I’m making do with a bunch of other blankets, but it just isn’t as warm and cozy. My feet were especially cold. So I had a *brilliant* idea to put Ginny to good use as a foot warmer! She already sleeps under the covers (very spoiled, I know), so I just scooted her…

I just spent a month away from my FuzzyButt baby. I went to see my boyfriend up in Washington State. I was worried about taking Banzai with me since my connecting flight was in Chicago. American Airlines has a weather restriction when it comes to pets traveling in cargo. Below 40 degrees a vet needs to sign a waver stating that the animal can withstand the temperatures. But anything below 20 something degrees is not allowed. So I opted to play it safe and left Banzai home with my mom. It is a…

I read about this ball that was recommended for herding breeds. It made sounds when bouncing or rolling causing the herding instinct to kick in and have them chase it and corner it. Me being the curious mommy I am decided to take a look at it for Caesar. Since he needed to go to the vet for booster shots I went to talk to a salesperson about it. He did not hear about the ball being great for herding dogs but I decided to give it a try. No, the ball is not good... it's pretty freaking…

Here is an example of some corgi metal art. The artist has two versions, this and one sitting. Also options for display, a stake in ground or standing. I have her email if anyone is interested.

I found a really neat
article about dogs and envy. The basic premise is that if a dog sees another dog getting a better reward for the same command that they are doing, they will stop doing the command because they see that they are getting a raw deal.
Some of us already know that our Corgis are clever little furkids, but I never imagined that the reason she hates the cats might be because she thinks they get better…
