I just put up some new photo's of Le-Le. When we first got Le-Le we had her in her crate while we were driving since we thought this was good for her. Secure and safe. But we noticed that she was distant and we had to try to bond with her again when we stopped for the day. Plus we realized we could be on the road with pits stops of course but we on the road for many many hours. So we were in Wal-Mart and I saw a bass boat chair and thought this would do the trick. We got it and put one of our…

Le-Le is our 2 year old cardigan corgi who we got at the very end of Feb just after her second birthday. After the passing of our beloved beagle, Buster in Jan, we wanted another dog but a puppy was too much for our traveling life. We had two beagles, Buster and Max for almost 14 years and loved the fun, playful qualities of the beagle, but I was interested in having a dog that would come when I called and not go on the 'hunt' at every smell. My grandparents had a Pembroke Corgi when I was…

I don't know when this started but Lola has somehow learned that she can trick me. First off let me just tell you that she can't go down the stairs, she can only go up. So today I was in the living room and she decided she wanted to go upstairs. She sat at the top of the stairs crying like a baby until I went up to get her. She had "crazy eyes" and ran alllllllllll the way down the hall and hid under the blankets in my bed. So I thought it was weird, went and grabbed her and brought her down.…

It was kaley~corgi's first corgi meet up at the park, Shoreline dog park, mountain view, calif! A very polite bunch, no major chasing or herding and good no fighting!
Kaley~corgi tried to get a corgi pup to play chase but no takers! It was the most polite and simple hang out bunch, about, 10 -15 corgis!
I had fun taking pics and you can go here to… Continue

Yes, how is it that i win and we NQ, did not qualify! Quite simply, kaley corgi stays on the field for 139.90 seconds, rather than the 72 seconds allowed and fraps to her hearts content ------------ refusing the "TABLE" obstacle.
no, i did not fall, but i thought if i got down on her level, she would get on the table! she does eventually, but runs off, a big tease! I tried to tease too by saying, "wanta cookie?"
She…

Finally finished with his shots I took Cheez-it to the dogpark. It's huge and I think he had a blast. Here is an example of it's hugeness.
I was suprised at his amazing off-leash abilities. He stayed near me almost the entire time, when the girls working at the desk held him while I took the pamphlets/wallet ect. out to the car he was very good until I came back when he started flapping his stubby arms in my direction and gladly jumped from…

Kaley~corgi and I both say the same thing, agility, we love it, and it is soo much nicer now that we are beginning to look pretty good on the course, staying together! She still fraps a bit, or gets frustrated, or something seems to happen, where she goes off course!
Dan takes pics and I look at them all, and try to figure out went wrong. She will run off course, but I am able to bring her back quicker and resume the sequence.

July 4th weekend it is a USDAA… Continue

Yesterday Spartacus and I went to our very first meet-up. And what a meet-up it was! Hosted by the
Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California, Spartacus and I met tons and tons of corgis, corgi owners and corgi fans from all around! I'd like to say there were atleast 50-60 corgis all over, it was so cute and awesome! There were tables of food, raffle prizes, and gifts that were enjoyed by all, there were contests that were held, and it was just a…

Ryan and I have talked about this subject off and on throughout the past few weeks. Seeing as how I own three cats, catnip is always an item we have in the house. After seeing my cats get "high," Ryan wondered if there was an herb that does the same thing for dogs. I told him that there probably was. After all cinnamon is catnip for tigers.
Our curiosity is constantly piqued by this thought. It's such a strange question that I want to ask it here. Have any of you ever wondered about…

Quite simply --- have a ball!
Yes, if there is a ball and a human to toss it, no matter how fast or slow, how crooked, hot high or low --- and even if it gets under a car (on the driveway of course) --- kaley~corgi will get it----- even if she has to fly!…

So two weeks ago daddy started acting funny in our little apartment. One afternoon he brought in a bunch of boxes that smelled like eats and other interesting things! I thought they were toys and jumped through them sniffing and playing making daddy laugh.
Then for some strange reason he started putting things in these boxes. Mommy only did this when she came to visit and when she was done she would leave us for long periods of time! I was getting worried and over the next few days…

I need a little help with my baby. I'll give you the story of how it started...
Last year around this time Lola turned 1 year old and she was a happy healthy puppy. One morning I took her out in the yard to do her business and she came in and began coughing. It wasn't really a normal cough and it sounded like something was stuck in her throat. I immediately took her to the vet and he listened to her lungs and said she was clear and sounded normal. He said to bring her back if it happened…

Cheez-it had his second to last vet appointment today. Everything went well and she said that his inguinal hernia is looking like it has healed up on it's own. I was told that could happen and in his case it probably would. He got some shots (he hates them) and some new 10+ lbs advantage (which he needs). I keep finding random fleas on him once a day or so, but I have bathed him alot in the past month and I only notice a flea when he comes inside. I give him a good check-over through all his…

I ramble on, so I will keep this paragraph short. A good amount of you all have a kennel like
THIS, and most all of you have a corgi with feet like
THIS. Well if your kennel is like that and the divider wall (if one) is up, there may be a gap under the wall. We all know that Corgi's sometimes sleep/lay with their feet behind like in…

I was minding my own this evening, watching the rest of the "Planet Earth" series on Discovery (It is an awesome documentary, watch it asap), when I hear this noise that sounds vaguely like insects swarming. Only inside the house! So I jump up and pan the room for Cheez-it's happenings and he isnt around. I glance down and there he is at my feet in a play-induced coma. I followed the sound to the kitchen, there is a giant beetle making sweet love to the lightbulb. Sort of odd, it's the sort of…
