She was not hurt or too badly traumatized.

Hey Everyone!
In case you are doing any last minute shopping on amazon (or shopping any other time of the year) I just noticed that if you go to
For Paws Corgi Rescue and use their link to Amazon you don't pay anything extra they just get a commission. How cool is that??

Sooo, we're out taking our evening walk. It's a pleasant night and the rain is just a memory. One of our neighbors is getting out of his truck and his wife comes out of the house through the garage, letting their two boxers come out with her. They come straight out to us, but the man right away begins calling them back. The wife says "It's ok, they're friendl..." Bam! One of the boxers had rolled Sidney onto his back and was attacking his underbelly! I hate it when I panic and start…

Ever since Sky was a 12 week old puppy, I have kept bells hanging on the door leading to outside so he could tell me when he needed to go potty. This worked well for us at the time. I was living in an apartment on the third floor (why I ever thought it was a good idea to have an Aussie puppy in an apartment is a whole other story!) and the bells were an excellent way for him to tell me he needed to go out even when I couldn't see the front door. After the newness of "hey I can make the door…

I've been meaning to post this for awhile now---I use Frontline for Molly every month because we've had a recurring problem with fleas in our house for several months. Does anyone else use Frontline? My biggest concern is that I can NEVER get all of the medication on her actual skin...with the coarse fur on her shoulder blades, I always end up getting some in it, no matter how much I'm able to part from the skin. Does anyone know of a better alternative, or have any suggestions as to a better…

My bf got his sister a kitten for her birthday, like she's always wanted. They named her Audrey. Audrey got pregnant by a neighbor's cat (assuming) and Wa-shu was born 2003, in this very house. Wa-shu had tan on the tip of her tail, which is the reason why bf chose to keep her. The other kittens were given away to relatives. A few years pass, and Audrey gets hit by a car, and Wa-shu is the only one left.
After 15 months of Ein living…

Molly, my almost 2-year-old Pembroke, has all of a sudden become scared of just about everything. She's always been a little bit skittish, but about two weeks ago, out of nowhere, it started becoming worse. Molly is afraid of trash bags, trash cans (they vary in size, large kitchen can and small bathroom one), large blankets, pots and pans, you name it! Every time I go to pick up a book to read, she shies away from it and goes and hides. We also used to play a game, where I would stick my foot…

I sure am lucky.
One of my favorite things about Pooka is her breath. It still smells like when she was a puppy! A little hint of chlorine (I think). She rarely has bad breath (only after chewin' on something stinky) I hope we can keep this up past a year and a half!
Two things she did recently that were so perfect!
We were at my friend's house with two other dogs so she was being protective of a rolled-rawhide bone the whole weekend. I was playing…

What brand do u feed ur corgis and why? I have been giving Max Iams puppy food and now he's ready to move to adult food. I was thinking of switching brands since i have to change his food anyway. I'm looking for something less expensive but still nutritious if possible.

Eddy's 1st b-day is coming up. Lately he has been heavily targeted by aggressive male dogs at the park. It's as if they are magnetized to him, cannot leave him alone endlessly, and finally get frustrated
or something? and attack. Eddy is more into "flight" than "fight" - he does not fight back, defend himself, or "get revenge" afterwards. Eddy ends up getting hurt, and whoever the owner is apologizes profusely and doesn't know what's come over their dog, and they leave usually. The…

Lyla took her herding instinct test today and passed with flying colors! It was the first one I'd ever been to and it was very interesting. It was neat to watch the different dogs' reactions to the sheep. Some dogs were more interested in the sheep poo, and others walked in and knew exactly what to do.
Only 4 of the 7 dogs passed, and Lyla passed the 2nd fastest! Yay Ly! The judge wrote on our eval sheet "Good job! She got right to work like she'd being doing this her whole life." It…

Baby Jackson is just growing and growing. His mother's milk dried up a little early, so he was weaned a week or two ago. He's already had his first round of shots and will be getting one more before I pick him up from my breeder. He looks so healthy and is developing his personality.
Here are some pictures of him at 6 weeks! I'm so excited to get him home and start working with him.
He lost his raccoon eyes but I'm hoping…

My boyfriend and I were finalizing preparations to bring a puppy home, when I had a bad allergic reaction. Initially I thought it might be the cats that were living in the house with the puppies, but after seeing an allergist, it turns out I have a dog allergy as well. The allergist recommends I not get a puppy at this time as I could trigger asthma issues. (He can only give us a 50% chance of having a dog at the end of next year too.) Needless to say, I'm heartbroken, and my boyfriend is very…

About 6 months ago, I rescued a 5 year old female corgi from someone that just kept her in a kennel all the time. I have been working with her and she has made progress but I now have to find her a new home due to daughters allergies. Which we didnt realize til we started bringing Zoie inside because of the cold weather. She will need some time to adjust to a new family and it took her a couple weeks to even start coming up to us once we started to just ignore her. But she plays well with the…

We practiced this last night and I still had to pull/push my Aussie out the door this am. The Corgis went out one time and now they just look at me like I'm crazy!
It could be that any door I open I have to hang onto with both hands so it doesn't blow wide open!
