I just wanted to share! We brought our new boy home today! He is 11 weeks old and I can't believe how big he is already. I haven't weighed him yet, but I'd never seen a corgi pup in real life and I was so surprise at how big he is already! I'll post pictures later on because I have a huge paper due on Tuesday! (Not the best time to bring a new pup home, but I don't think there is ever a good time!). Fortunately, right now...knock on wood...he is an angel! So good!! We named him Grover, by the…

Hi!
I'm here with Court on a cooling evening after low 80's weather!
We got an evaluation so to speak at the SPCA on how I can
work with Court on basic commands as well as giving more
opportunities to exercise.
SO: I have not been on this site because it has been a busy time,
but also, if I would get some daily connection to the site/group,
I would view it more, learn more, maybe post more...
IS it possible to get daily Emails from…

Well, after months of anticipating our move from Northern Virginia to Northern California, we have finally arrived. Micha really didn't like the plane ride, but she was very good. Word of advice: when travelling via air with dogs, I highly recommend having a big bottle of water on hand for when you pick up your dog. Micha drank almost a litre of water upon landing. She even refused food in favor of water! That was a first :-) It's probably not so bad on shorter flights, but longer flights are…

Hi everyone,
I was hoping to get some anecdotal advice on adding a second corgi. I've been wanting one for months now, and have been waiting for the right time (seriously, is there one?!?!). Anyway, if you've got two dogs, how did the transition from one to two go? Any suggestions?
I expect things to be pretty easy, since Junebug (2 yo F) is good with other dogs and I work hard to keep everyone behaving well! Do you think getting a male or female would make much…

With hard work and didication of those rescue groups out there all the dogs at this time have been placed.
I just received this email from the shelter.
"Tiffani, all the Corgis have been placed by other rescues for this time. We will, however, be getting more I believe around the week of the 21st if you would like to check back then. Thank you for your interest. Sandy, Manager"

This is my first attempt at blogging! I joined the site today after lurking for several months. I spent a lot of time online learning about corgis, watching videos, and researching the breed. I found the cutest corgi online and purchased her from an out of state breeder. I kept the name the breeder chose for her but I changed the spelling from Moxi to Moxie! My father is originally from Maine and used to love a drink called Moxie and would sometimes even bring back a case. Just like the name…

I ordered Heartguard Plus online last week, and when it arrived I found I had instead paid for the generic brand "HeartZ". Has anyone heard anything about HeartZ or used it for their dogs? I believe it is a European product. I want some feedback before giving it to my pups!

Hi guys. I just got Daisy this weekend. She is 15 weeks old. We have started some training, but I have never had a puppy...especially not a Corgi! We have been learning to "Go Outside", but Daisy isn't really into the whole thing. She was doing OK the first couple of days, but lately she will just stand at the door and stare at me. I know she has to go, but she doesn't want to go out the door. Then, when we finally get outside to "Go Pee" or "Go Poops", she just sits at the door to go back in.…

I went to work today and came home to find Lance not in his kennel. We always put Lance in his kennel because we are unsure what he would do when we are not home. Before i left for work, I saw Lance laying in his kennel with his head sticking out but just forgot to close the kennel door. I was in a hurry to get to work, oops!! When I got home Lance was laying on the floor in the family room right next to the kitchen. I looked around the house to make sure everything was intact. I did not find…

My boys want to thank everyone who left such nice messages about them scaring off the burglars! Just a word of advice, please be careful when writing checks, because we think the kid who broke in got our address off of a check I wrote at a local restaurant. I will certainly think twice when I write checks from now on!

Well we are not able to run in the front dirt pit anymore, mom says the grass she planted IS FINALLy coming up. So we can run and play in the back yard. We have to wear our raincoats more often lately, so much rainy weather. That is ok we like our raincoats, CorgiBears' is red and mine is green. I heard my mom talking about a birthday party in September, hey that is when my birthday is, wonder if that is my party??????? Does anyone know anything about this? My stump is just wagging in…

I just received this from the Rescue group I donate to please read and if you can help contact the Ottumwa Humane Society:
Hi there,
We have a large number of Pembroke Welsh Corgis coming into the Heartland Humane Society in Ottumwa, Iowa. These corgis have been surrendered from a puppy mill. Our Lakeshore Rescue has been contacted to help with foster care and placing these corgis. Rumor has it, there will be eventually up to 50 corgis turned in.Currently there are 16 there and…

Hi Everyone,
I am in the process of developing a larger size for my tank tops and t-shirts to accommodate more corgis. If you could send me the measurements of your corgi it would greatly help to get an accurate size chart for my pattern. I would need their weight, the measurement around their neck/collar, measurement from collar to tail, and measurement around their chest (under front legs). You can view my size chart at www.corgiclothes.com for better instructions. I look forward to…

Hi Hi Hi --it's Winnie here! I had a great weekend with mom and dad. we walked, we played, i dug in the dirt, i ate the dirt, i rolled in the dirt, i even got a bone.... a real one with marrow and all! But then after two wonderful sunny days, mom and dad leave me again. Its not that I mind too much, because I never sleep when they are around (too much to see and do, don't want to miss out). But you would think they would be happier playing with me. I mean Lisa the dog walker comes over and…

I had to go to Pensacola last week, which is a 9 hour drive. I was staying a week, so I really wanted to take the dogs. They were wonderful travelers. They were very good visiting grandma, with only 2 pee pee accidents ( Mia 6 months ) and she broke a plant stand jumping up to see out the porch, and chewed a bit on grandma's slipper. All in all thou, they were very well behaved little grand dogs. 2 big scary things that happened to us while we were there... was Mia fell into my parents pool.…

I went to the allergist today. I've always had allergies, but since I got Roscoe, they had about tripled. I'd been living on Tylenol allergy for the past three weeks or so, and the past three days I couldn't take any sinus meds before my appointment. Friday and Saturday weren't bad at all, but last night just about killed me. It's the typical stuffed nose, tight chest sneezing, and a red rash/bumps when I would touch him.
I got tested for all kinds of things - I'm super-allergic to…

Hi! It's Sidney the Corgi again...
Here is what I got to do today! The humans got dressed up in funny clothes and took me and the old Corgi in the car for a ride. You know what, the car is fun now! I used to be afraid but now I know it means going someplace fun. Unless we end up at the vet. The vet is NOT fun, but they do give me a cookie if I am a good puppy.
Today we did not go to the vet, though. We went to a big park where something cool was going on. Mom called it a…

Today is Riley's 8 week birthday. I wish I could bring him home now, but I decided to wait until finals were over. A new puppy and 2 weeks worth of vet school finals just don't mix! He'll be 11 weeks when he gets here. He's making a bit of a change from Texas to Michigan weather, but it should be nice by the time he gets here the end of this month. I was a little nervous about him flying, but I'm sure everything will work out fine. Unfortunately the breeder only ships on Tuesdays, and my finals…

Korben surprised me last night! I work very late hours since I work from home so I usually go to bed around 4 am or so. Well, every night before I go to sleep, I go and get a big glass of ice water. As soon as I crack that ice tray, Korben comes running to the kitchen looking to get a late night treat. So, I will find one of the smaller ice cubes and hand it to him. He will take it out of my hand and then he starts munching away at it, then when I am finished in the kitchen, I will tell him to…
