Whenever we encounter doggies at the park, any sex/ age/ size, Eddy just gets all submissive and rolls over for them or hides behind my legs. And the other dogs do the opposite: they want to to sniff casually/calmly, or they want to do the pounce-play, or they're wrenching with all their strength against their leashes and barking madly to get a closer look, or they're perked-ears, sitting, patiently, observing him... Etc etc. It doesn't matter what the dog
is or
does, Eddy just…

So, currently we're trying out the name Blaze (if not, option number two is probably Farley); what's everybody think? We just got two new pics from the breeder; he grew up a lot in a week. The whole family is so excited (especially my daughter). We're hoping we'll be able to pick him up on the 15th, because my daughter gets off after an early morning AP exam, and we'll take a road trip to the breeder's. He'll be nine weeks old then. We're going puppy shopping either next weekend or the weekend…

I'm entering Toki in a contest to become our local pet stores spokes doggie. I have to enter one picture that will be voted on. Out of the thousands of pictures I have I was able to narrow the selection down a bit. Can I get some help choosing please? I wish I could just send a portfolio!

I don't know if it's just me but I feel slightly Torn about Tig growing up so fast =[. He used to fit in my hands just TWO weeks ago, now he's like a bulldozer.
Part of me wants him to get bigger quickly so we can do all the fun things bigger puppies get to do.
Such as Swimming, long walks, agility training, sleeping late on weekends, playing fetch etc.
But the other part of me wants him to stay soft and squishy forever (minus the potty accidents lol). *sigh* just…

Lyla comes home tomorrow! It's been a crazy week, and at times I wondered if I wasn't crazy to even think about throwing a new puppy in on top of it all, but now that it's here, I'm so excited I can't stand it!
I finally did to get to close on the house on Wednesday, but only after my car broke down 10 minutes before closing! The car is still not working, but I am crossing my fingers for an easy (and cheap!) solution. Add all that on to 3 days of running around behind the scenes at…

We came back home from our adventure to Minnesota last night around 7:30pm. We had one major tussle in the car as Chloe felt a little cornered by Riley as we took them out to potty at one of the stops on the ride home. It's been 24 hours, and it's been bittersweet.
Chloe is such a vibrant personality, very out going, incredibly loving, and will follow you everywhere. The girl loves to run! She had a blast out in the backyard! But we've got some personal space issues with other dogs,…

Heh heh, you shouldv'e seen my human when she found her favorite book chewed up! Of course, it was me who did all the hard work by chewing. My human also noticed another book she liked chewed to bits, also. But, sadly for me, she was upset. I did my "trouble pose" and rolled over, smiling large, and putting my ears back. My human still got angry, though, but luckily they just say loudly, "JAKEY! did you do that!?" Hmm, maybe I should have chewed on the rawhide sticks they gave me instead?

Today would have been Riley's 9th birthday! I hope he is doing good in doggie heaven. At least he is up there keeping my grandma company. I am still sad and really miss him but Koby is helping mend my heart. A dog really is a best friend,,,, Enjoy every moment you have together!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!

Hey fellow Corgis and corgi lovers! My name is Jake, and I'm a 2 year old pembroke welsh corgi. I don't have any buddies that live with me, so I just keep telling my people I want some, but they dont speak dog! I like to annoy my humans by making small "aaaaar" noises and barking, then I fling a sock (very often I do this) and start playing with it, and then I chew on it. I act like I'm not hungry when fed, but then I give my human saps puppy dog eyes and get there food.
When I do eat my…

I would like to thank everyone who told me to try and get BB. I got it for Sadie on monday and already on friday I have noticed a difference. Her coat looks so shiny and great! She also loves the food, and even eats the blue pieces inside the puppy food. I have finally found the right food for her, since I do think she was allergic to some of the ingrediants in the other dog foods. Thanks to everyone who helped us lean toward to BB.

At midnight I sang Happy Birthday to Izzie even though she just sat there in a tired lump and looked at me like I was crazy. Oh well, I'm happy! She is now a year old. :) Any ideas of what to give her as a special treat for her birthday?

Well my life has just been turned upside down recently. Due to the economic down turn my husband was displaced from his job here in Fort Worth as a conductor (he works for Union Pacific) and was sent to West Texas. The transisition has been so difficult for me. He came home for the first time this week. It had been a month since I had seen him. He was able to stay a couple of days and then off he went. Thank goodness I have my Maggie and Kids of course.
Maggie is now 9 months old and…

Alright,
I'd like to thank everyone who tried to help name my pup. He still is without an official name, but I've got some
I'll try out on him. I'm picking him up on May 9th. I'm quite excited to finally have him, though he's going to stay with my parents for a few days while I finish finals, but on graduation day, I'll have him all to myself!
So the final list of names are:
Finn (after Finn Mac Cool, an Gaelic epic I'm reading for Celtic Archaeology…

There is a wonderful book.. a comic book or graphic novel if you will called Korgi. My Fiance bought it for me about a month or so after i got Favorite. This book is the best book you will ever find. It is illustrated by a wonderful artist named Christian Slade who fell in love with the breed after he met his wife Ann who already had one. He realized that corgis were the best dog ever.. thier character and thier love of mischief made it easy to want to draw them. I get that same itch sometimes…
