My Fin, age one and a half, has started this furious ritual in the morning of biting and licking his feet like crazy. He goes to his bed and just cleans and licks his little pink toes until they are shiny : )..... is this a habit ? could something be missing from his diet? I just ordered some salmon oil and he is already on a great vitamin supplement.... any ideas in Corgi land ??
PS he usually only does this in the morning after he wakes up

Whiskey is a Corgi / English Bulldog mix, my husband taught him how to ride our sons skateboard, and now the skateboard belongs to him, he loves it!! Whiskey, is a VERY smart, and active dog, he has been so easy to potty train and teach, I love him so much!!!

Fortunately, a Welsh corgi counts as 2 dogs on a Two-Dog Night because it fits inside your sleeping bag. Ordinarily, I like to sleep with the dogs for companionship and the peaceful vibes that emanate from a snoozing animal. This time, it was for something more primal: body heat. Dummy here brought a goose down sleeping bag on a 9-day backpacking trip in normal…

Odie did something strange today... he was done playing with one of his toys, so he put it away in his toybox!! Now if I could just get him to learn how to do dishes and laundry... LOL!

We will be adding to the our little Herd.. Lizzie is going to have a little brother ! He was born on August 26, a red headed tri-colored corgi, and is from Celestial Star Kennel.. his mom is Scarlet and dad Kobe. Not sure what his name will be yet.. we have a list a mile long to pick from so far maybe Barney, Harry, Oliver, or Tucker? Each picture shows a little more of his personality.. so hopefully one day soon we will look at him and say he looks like a ......... ??? More info to…

Sage had a wonderful time and loved everyone especially the children plus all but 2 dogs! She was a real trooper hanging in there for over 6 hours! We met another MyCorgi member and wouldn't have known it but I told them about the site and found out they were members....that was great! Sage was one pooped pup when we got to the car!

I've noticed certain Sonics are very dog friendly! Some keep treats on hand to give to your pup. In Austin I live pretty close to one so I'll go during happy hour pretty often to get a half-priced Diet Cherry Limeade (yum!) and I'll take the dogs with me. Everyone always freaks out about how cute they are and runs inside to get dog treats for them (which usually end up falling into the cracks between the seats before they're completely eaten but oh well). The Sonics I've been to in San Antonio,…

Odie sleeps in bed with poppa and I... and all night long he constantly moves from one spot to another. I feel a little bad for him, because, if he's moving around this much, does it mean he's not comfortable? He has a blanket on our bed, but no pillows or dog bed... do all Corgis sleep this restlessly? Should I find something to put in bed, that will make him more comfortable??

So, I work for a natural food and goods store, and i work in the body care section. I was looking through a catalog for one of our soap companies, and I saw that they make a doggy bar soap!!!!
I ordered one from the company direct, Indigo Wild, and we got it yesterday. I just washed our PWC Houdi, and it was AWESOME!!!!!!!
When we washed him in the past, it was hard juggling the bottle of shampoo and keeping him the the stall and actually washing him. With the bar, I just had…

Vets say natural dogs foods are not always healthy dog foods.I thought this article was interesting because it highlights that it's important to get past the buzzwords in dog foods like "Natural" and "Holistic" and really get into the nitty gritty of what…

Oppy's almost 2 years old now and I can't help but think he looks a little different than other Pembrokes. We got him from a breeder and met his mother who is a Pembroke but didn't meet the father (he's AKC certified, so I have no doubts about it). Oppy generally seems a little taller and has bigger ears than most other pb corgis. The tail (which wasn't docked when he was born)…

It has now been a week since we brought Sidney home from his Femoral Head Ostectomy surgery for hip dysplasia.
He's been a very good patient. He's confined to a pen in the living room although we take him outside several times a day to go potty, and he's got to wear that awful collar to keep him from bothering his incision. Rather than the e-collar, we use a pro-collar. It looks like an inflated blue toilet seat, but it seems to be much more comfortable and easier to move around…

Our little boy has Kennel Cough. I feel like the worst mommy ever. When we enrolled him in daycare, we were asked to provide our vet's name so that Ollie's shot records could be obtained. When I didn't hear from anyone, I assumed we had everything we needed.
Last night, Ollie woke us with a tremendous "HACK"....that isn't even the best word for it. It was a terrible sound. He kept doing it and spitting up froth and slime. I laid on the couch with him for a few hours, stroking his head…

Stanley turns 2 years old on 9/14. I still cannot believe it! But we had to celebrate this occasion so naturally that meant only one thing - POOL PARTY! Stanley had 20 of his buddies come to his big b-day bash and we could not have asked for a better day or better company.…

We currently feed Buddy the Adult Chicken VeRus food. Our local mom/pop pet store only carries the 40lb bags, which is entirely too much for our single dog, so we usually have them special order a 20lb bag for us. Well, the issue is that I forgot to call and have them order another bag earlier in the week, and now I called today and they won't have a bag in until next week. We have about two meals worth of food left, and I am not really sure what to feed him in the…

Every year we battle pollen allergies. Barney has already gone thur one treatment with simplef and methapretizone for his allergy issues within the last week, Once those pills were done he was clearing up and feeling better but , as usual, 2 days later the allergy symptoms come back, In the past we just refilled his script and went with another 2 weeks hoping his itching would stop...I have read that there are allergy shots that a vet can give...My question is the shot a better and faster…

This Corgi dances before his breakfast. Apparently he is really into his, so much so, that he has an elaborate dance routine. Yoda sort does the same thing with his treats, but nothing like him. He must be the only Corgi in the house, so he does not worry about another Corgi steal his food. So, does your Corgi dance to celebrate…
