What Do you guys think?

Hey, uh, Corgis/humans, well not that long ago I was rough housing. And then when the older brother picked up the youngest sister, I started to bark. Then, the older brother lowered the youngest sister to me. I started playfully nipping at her, And then I started to softly bite her leg. I thought she wanted to play, but she started CRYING. I got in trouble and was pushed outside. Do you guys think it was MY fault she got hurt?

Trying out the new collar

Well, lately I've noticed that Murphy's collar is feeling a little snug and that he seems to be growing out of it, so I got out his bigger one that we bought before we got him. It's still a bit too big, but yesterday I let him him wear it for a short time just to see what would happen and he hated it. I got a video of him trying to get it off by rolling around on the floor, its hysterical and I'll have to upload it soon. I ended up just taking it off of him and just putting it on to go out and… Continue

What to do with Twinkie

Ah, Twinkie is so lucky she's so cute. She was busted yesterday eating the leaves off my strawberry plants. I can only assume she is also the culprit in the case of the missing strawberries. She is also digging through the patio pots for rocks and has started a nice collection. I can put them back and she gets them back out and starts a little pile right in front of herself. This is a dog that needs a hobby...a different hobby.

bully sticks

A few people told me that those are awesome. So wentto a specialty pet food store and I got one. I must say Shiro liked it a lot. He's still a puppy, so it would take him a ehile to go though the whole thing. The problem is, those things stink soooo bad. Once one end got soft, I could smell it from another end of the room. Nidless to say, his breath was horrible as well. So I had to get rid of it and go back to pig ears. He likes them even more and they don't really have a smell.

SHOTS!

I do remember yesterday my humans saying something about me getting shots. Did I care? No. I didn't even remember what shots were. Today though, I remembered alright. And experienced them first hand, I got two on my back and one on my shoulder I think. It hurt a little, but not enough to make me look cowardly! I didn't cry or bark or flinch or struggle. I simply smiled at my owner because of the comfortable way he was holding me. I also didn't struggle because it would take alot longer if I… Continue

2 days later...

Its officially been 2 days since we lost Juni, and its not any easier. I catch myself daydreaming of her sitting next to me in the car on our way to Petsmart, or her laying at my feet so I could rub her belly with my toes. We loved that dog to pieces! I also started crying in secret since it makes my 2 yr old sad when I cry. When does it get better?

I'm so thankful for everyones comments, thoughts, prayers...it makes me smile knowing so many are thinking of her. Too bad no one ever… Continue

Stressful Week

Whew! It has been a week full of painting, unpacking, and vetting. The house is coming along nicely, although there is still a lot of work to be done, and it's in that "it always looks worse before it looks better" stage right now. The animals, however, are all conspiring against me to my life as stressful as they can.

Izzy, the cat, was diagnosed with Inflammed Bowel Disease about a month ago and put on a food trail. I called the vet yesterday to say things were going great and is… Continue

First week at home

So it happened, we drove for 4 hours and picked up our precious baby. The breeder crate trained him, so he was totally fine while driving. In fact, he went to sleep as soon as we put him there. He's great with potty training besides couple of accidents at home right before my eyes (it's very hard to tell when he's going as he doesn't change his position and does it in seconds). I usually let him have some water in the morning, then take him outside to relieve himself.

He hasn't been eating… Continue

Playmate bloodied Eddy!

Yesterday's play-date went great for the first half... I went out to Portland to see my best friend and her new beagle-lab-aussie shepherd pup. They're the same size, and immediately began wrestling and tumbling. Then she bit a gash under Eddy's eyeball! It bled into his eye, and he was squinting and wincing. We cleaned him up, but then they just kept wanting to go at each other's throats and soft spots!!! They were definately tense and resentful after the injury, and couldn't play nice any… Continue

Taz is six months old today!

OMG I just realized that Taz is half a year old today. Time flies when you have corgis. He is such a moose, and he continusly (sp) cracks us up every single day with his big old satelite ears and digger paws. He has so much loose skin on him that I am too afraid to even imagine how big he is going to be. Definately not going to be as petitie as his sister since he is already almost twice as wide and maybe half inch shorter than her. I haven't weighed him recently, but I probably should so I can… Continue

still growing...

Tigger grew out of his first collar today (05-02-09) =[. I'm happy but sad, who said h could grow up so fast.

Everywhere we go people say he's the cutest puppy they've ever seen =].

Puppy socialization is going better. Tiggers pretty lazy though. once he's done checking all the other dogs out he just lays down. he's quite the character,

his ears arn't exactly UP yet but i think they're getting there. *crosses fingers*

Randy's First Day

Randy is officially home with us. YAY! So far only one mishap, Leo pushed Randy into the sidewalk and he hurt his little head..he seems fine but he really cried so I am worried sick. Will be keeping a close watch on him tonight. He is seeing the vet tomorrow so will let the vet know what happened. I did not end up getting Rowdy (well not yet anyway). Someone was coming to look at him this evening and I don't want to hog all the good Corgis. The lady… Continue

Good weekend

We had suuuch a good weekend! Kyuubi is starting to sleep in the bed with us... now that hes not such a hyper wiggle worm. We also played on the trampoline together. We tried that "furminator" brush. It works sooooo good!
I am anxiously awaiting updated pics of the new puppy. I am not the most patient person in the world when I am excited! Kyuubi got new toys this weekend, he seems to like them. Oh what a good weekend.

A Happy day on Rainbow Bridge...

Tears roll down my cheeks as a type this...this is hard.

Last night we found Juneaux dead. No explanation, no nothing...she's just gone. I'd had a busy day with company, and hate that I didn't take a few minutes to step outside with them. When my husband came home, he went outside and found her at the foot of my son's slide. The place she enjoyed the most, oh how she loved to run up that slide and come down with him. He was the joy in her life, and she was his.

We checked… Continue

Finally Rambo is getting better, he don´t have stones in his pee anymore! In last month he get new food to keep the stones away. But unfortunately stones can return so we have to be careful with Rambo´s food.
But now i´m very happy that Rambo is healthy now.

Winston Loomis Pounds

Friday, May 1, 2009 I picked up my Winston from the Breedrer in NC. Love at first sight had been my thought from the week earlier when I met him. I knew instantly he was our Winston! He is a Sable like my Granddog, Brodey, but with a touch more white on his chest and nose. I think he is the most handsome Corgi EVER-does everyone feel this way about these wonderful dogs?? Winston is 5 & 1/2 months and already has figured out "Potty Outside" and "Inside the House" and comes when he is called.… Continue
