A Corgi Christmas

On our way home to Nova Scotia Blackie and I are going to overnight in Montreal. We will have a few hours to do some sight seeing, specifically Notra Dame and Mount Royal.

I need some help though, I don't know anything about traveling with a dog, so if anyone has any advice please leave me a comment.

I am worried about being able to go out to eat with her, and being kicked out of a place because she is a dog, a well behaved…

Dog boots

Just wanted to share this funny video I found on Buzzfeed with dogs wearing boots. No corgi's in it, but I bought my dog a pair of booties from Petsonly.ca. (great website BTW!)

This is the funny-ness I get to look forward too:

These are the ones I bought her:…

Still on the search for a reputable breeder

So I have been looking for a good reputable breeder this past year. I am looking for a corgi sometime at the end of this year or next year. I am willing to wait. Just wanted to get some feedback on what you guys think about these breeders asking for an upwards of $900+ for a corgi that has no champion lines or it's just one parent that does. Is this a reasonable price for a pembroke corgi? I also don't mind if the corgi doesn't have champion lines because I won't be showing he/she…

canine agility, swimming,

Chloe had a private canine agility lesson at Performance Dogs in Action today. Nola wanted to see how she ran and see how she has progressed since her back injury. Chloe did great! She even went swimming in Nola's pond! I did not know Chloe was okay with the water and knew how to swim. I was so…

Thank you Corgi Nation :)

Dear Corgi Nation,

Thank you so much for this BEAUTIFUL painting, Vanessa.  This painting speaks to us in a very deep and meaningful way and brought tears to our eyes when we first saw it. We will treasure it and hang it in our corridor where it gets the most traffic in the entire house. Thank you Ellen for coordinating this.  It was a pleasant surprise and we don't know what we've done to deserve such special gift. We are deeply touched.  Thank you for the loving…

Adding A New Puppy???

Mom and dad are thinking about getting another PWC Puppy.  I am a red and white and they want to add a black headed tri female.  I am great with the boys but not sure how to take on another female.  I am excited to have a younger playmate but I like being the center of attention.  I keep going back and forth but I think that a new puppy could be fun!

AKC Agility Trial Arcadia, FL August 24-26th

It's been a little while since this trial, but I wanted to make sure I posted what I remembered. I don 't have the videos yet, but hopefully soon.

The first thing I'll always remember about this trial is I totally forgot to change our registration. This cost us two run that I paid for. We were still signed up as Novice Standard and Open Jumpers, even though we should have been Excellent A in both. =( Oh well, it made Friday a very quick day, which was needed because we had…

Wedding corgis!

Our San Diego Corgi Meetup Group was asked to participate in pre-wedding photos for a woman who loves corgis but does not have one of her own. Well, she does now, I heard that they were getting a pup as a wedding gift. I made a "tuxedo bandana" for Sidney using a dinner napkin and my son's bow tie. A photographer captured him in all his derpy glory...…

Missing my girl

My name is Janet and I work as a teacher in a northern community called Aupaluk in Northern Quebec.  (see picture below for an idea of where it is).

There are about 150-200 people who live here, and about 50 students in the school. I teach from grade 7 to 12.

The first week all the new teachers were in Kuujjuaq for an information session to get us prepared for living and…

Met Ace's potential sister!

Today has been a totally awesome and fabulous day! I am radiating happiness and haven't stopped smiling since early noon. :-)

My husband Ben and I, driven by our long-suffering best friend Sev, went on a 90 minute roadtrip out to the countryside to go see the litter of Border Collie puppies I've been interested in. And I am SO glad that I went. I got my puppy fix (they're the best drug!) and I really clicked with one of the two girls up for consideration. I have a feeling…

Vote for Frosty! And all the other corgis too!

You know what time it is... its calendar time and we have entered Frosty in another photo contest lol!  Voting runs from now until Sept. 14th.  You can vote from your computer IP every 24 hours.  The great thing about this contest is that you can vote for as many photos as you like!

Frosty is currently in the "Adult Large Breed (over 30 lbs)" group - cause he's a huge 40 lb chunky pants lol - but there are a number of other corgis entered in the "Adult Small Breed (under 30…

Corgi meet up group in El Paso Tx?

Hi everyone!

I had a wonderful idea about starting a corgi group in El Paso Tx so that anyone who had a corgi or had a soft spot for them could come and bring their dogs together and give them a chance to frap around.

I put up an ad on craigslist for my area and so far I have had one reply from a lady with a 4 year old female Pem. I figured I would let the word out on mycorgi as well hoping that maybe someone else on here lives in El Paso.

It's a long…

New Additions!

No, not another corgi (not yet at least!).

Nope, I brought home two four month old kittens today. I've been wanting another cat since I lost B last October. Miss Mooch has also been missing having another cat around.

Ivy is the one in the back and Coco is in the front. They were rescued from a mobile home park along with two other litter mates. Mom was feral and was spayed and released. They're sweet and very playful. Right now I have them in my bathroom and…

Sidney at the Canine Olympics

Sidney's training school held a Canine Olympics this week. We had lots of fun! Sidney and his girlfriend Maggie represented for the Corgwyn.

They had several events, including the hurdles, high jump, agility course, leash work, puppy push-ups and down-stay.

For certain events they were categorized by height; under 12", 12-18", 19-24" and…
