Izzy is 8 years old today. She has been an incredibly sweet and easy girl . Even as a puppy she was calm and quiet. She seems to have forgiven us for bringing Watson the rambunctious corgi into our lives. The world revolves around her and she loves people much more than dogs. She figured out early on that if she looks very pitiful that people will pet…

If Big Brother is watching us and has Minions parked in front of screens peering into our homes and offices, there's NO doubt at all the Minions have been having a hilarious time watching the goings-on here at the Funny Farm.
One of the professional singers in the choir with which I have the unparalleled privilege of singing (it's a mix of highly trained professional vocalists and us amateurs) is having to move on short notice. Her husband got a very nice job in the Bay Area…

I rescued a corgi/jack Russell mix. I got
Her when she was 7 months old. She
Was rescued from a hording situation.
She had many fears the first one was she was
Afraid of doorways. I was able to get her over that
Fear and many other fears that she has, but notice
That she has a tendency to revert back to her
Fears. I have had her for about 6 months. She does
Not play with balls or with other toys. We do go for
Many walks and hikes in the woods. She is…

I was recently contacted from a person who sadly needs to find a new home for her spayed female Corgi. She does not get along well with children or other animals. She sounds like a wonderful companion dog for a older couple who has experience with Corgis and can provide a good home. Please message me and I can give you more info or pass on the contact info to you. The person loves this dog and wants her to have a good life.

I am currently looking for a younger Pembroke rescue dog in the New England area, I have contacted Mayflower, Ohio Valley, Petfinder, (daily)utilizing their search alert, and numerous shelters and rescues. I recently lost my beloved 9yo male pembroke to cancer.
Any suggestions or direction would be greatly appreciated. I would buy a puppy if I could afford one but my dogs medical bills ran into the thousands, so purchasing from a breeder would be difficult. The breeders contacted in…

I am now aware of what a suitcase is, because my mom packed 2 of them in July and she didn't come back for awhile. But don't be sad, because I was able to Skype with her while she was gone to a place called China. She kept telling me she was coming home, but it took forever, or at least it seemed like forever. She's back and I'm happier than ever, because my daddy is back too. Yeah, he left for 3 months to Basic at Fort Benning. That was really difficult for mom, but I kept her happy. The 3…

We are having a much better year this Fall. Happy Fall my corgi friends! I am still in remission and starting to feel like my old self. Watson is doing great in classes, we just have to figure out how to transfer it into the real world. He still just becomes a wiggly, licky, jumper when greeting people. He learns very fast and loves to play fetch. We are enjoying our walks in…

Wynn, Sage and Teddy(my rescue) will be moving to a town of about 26,000 people. They have lived all their lives in the country with wide open spaces to run. Wynn and Sage have experience with city living and Teddy does not. If we don't have a fenced in yard it will be too late to put one up as the ground will be frozen by then. We do have a large outside chain link dog kennel that we can temporarily use also. Many of the houses we are looking at do not have sidewalks...any helpful info or…

I told you how Max & Katie's breeder took back one of her dogs and how our emails crossed with me updating her on Max's condition and her wanting to know if we would be interested in this guy. Well, you can't argue with fate. Things happen for a reason. The earliest he will be coming to live with us is mid to late October...she is very busy right now with shows, she is…

Ha anyone had to deal with rats in an area that the dog can get into?
Lovely uptown Phoenix is now fully infested with roof rats, a nice little wildlife species brought here by folks moving here from other states. They look much like a Norway rat, but mercifully are somewhat less obnoxious. In their habits, they're really more like a tree squirrel than like the…

I have joined the "you can't have just one" club. Introducing Bunny the corgi!
She's around 7 to 8 months old and she is basically a rescue. I'm the third home she's been in her short life. Despite all that, she's very…

Tucker and Butler do not get along. So everyone goes to their crate for food. Tucker is presently wearing a cone because he has started obsessively licking one paw. He is sulking because he doesn't like the cone so he doesn't eat. Last night, Butler and Redford were out of their crates and Tucker was picking at his food. Butler was about 8 feet from Tucker's crate and Tucker started growling at him. Whenever he would growl, I told him "no" in a low volume deep voice. We also had a…

I've taken Alie to outside by a stroller. She's not an active corgi for her life so she seems to be ok riding on it. But sometimes she tries to run after other dogs in a dog park but she couldn't. I feel so bad to see her like that. I'm again researching wheelchair for her. I just applied at CorgiAid if she can get it thru them. Otherwise, I need to order one. Any suggestion? I like walking' wheels but very pricy...K9 Carts is my second choice... Alie is 12yrs old, weigh only 20 lb, never…

Another CPWCC Corgi Fun Day 2015 in the books and we had a blast again this year. So much fun to spend time with tons of corgis! So much cuteness it's a bit overwhelming. Here's a picture of our trio in their costume contest entry. Al and Ashton are Corgi Vikings while Pino was a lovely mermaid. They won First Place!! Woot!! If you ever get a chance to take your…

Hi All,
Well it has been along time since I have been on the site! Oscar & Sam's Dad's Brian & Paul have been busy renovating our Home Langi Dorn and have almost finished. Our dogs Sam (Australian Red Cattle Dog) & Oscar (Welsh Pembroke Corgi) have taken to rural life very well. We haven't had anymore issue's with Brown or Red Belly Black Snakes though now we are heading into spring & summer we have to be on our guard!.
Now the reason for my post Oscar…

Tucker has been licking one paw-between the middle toes. I don't see anything like a thorn in there and I've been washing it twice daily with antiseptic soap that the vet gave me for one of the other dogs for another problem.
I can't get to the vet until Saturday. Any suggestions on what i can do to keep an active dog who spends a lot of time outside from licking himself raw?

When I woke up the other day with a cluster of itchy bites on one arm, I thought "uh-oh." Having had, many years ago, a cat that suffered a serious flea infestation and having grown up in the Middle East, I do know what flea bites look like. These looked suspiciously familiar.
Wouldncha know it, Cassie and Ruby sleep on my bed.
So I dropped everything and began Flea Eradication. Mercifully, my house doesn't have carpets. So a vacuum attack is relatively easy to…
