Seems like just yesterday I brought home my 8 pound bundle, plopped him in my living room and said, "now what do I do?" ha! Time surely does fly by. We all celebrated with a marrow bone or a little ice cream (although birthday boy had a little of both). No funny hats. He doesn't need to know he and Ethel are going to the boarding place on Wed. so mom can go to a three-day tennis camp on Cape Cod (little b-day prezzie for myself), shhhhhhhhhhhh.

Our vet sends out annoying emails all the flippin' time, announcing anything from pointless to informative. Well they didn't email us letting us know that the clinic is under new ownership and they started carrying all new brands of food and parasite preventative!!! So they don't carry Sentinel anymore, instead they want me to buy into their multi-combo-drugs method which is OF COURSE like $40 more. I utilize natural remedies as well; I already hate giving Eddy 1 chemical a month and they…

1948 Brockhouse Corgi Mk I
I ran across this on a motorcycle blog and thought I'd share it here. I've run across lots of Corgi themed stuff and of course Corgi brand toys have been around for decades but this scooter was a new one for me. Looks long and low just like our little friends.
Stylin'!…

So as most readers of my silly blogs have heard I have an elderly almost 1 year old Golden Retriever mix named Buffy.. Well buffy is what we refer to as a 'Social Eater' Prefering to eat with us as her company.. not always.. but usually she will take her kibble and drag it out from the kitchen to where ever we are (i.e: living room, computer room..)
Well today i had been coaxing ace into his brand new Puppy pool with his absolute 2 favorite things.. Eeyore and Ice Cubes.. Well…

Callie's birthday is coming up on Wednesday (May 19th) and she is turning 2 years old. I can't imagine life without her with me now. She's such a great dog with a fun personality. Callie has already recieved 2 birthday cards in the mail from her vet and a boarding company she stayed with while I was on vacation. We are planning on making her a little dog safe cake, and my mom may take her to get a new special toy.
I am posting this a few days earlier because it just so happens that…

an ibuprofen tablet spilled on the florr, before I could say leave it Chloe swallowed one. I called the E/R vet and left a message as directed. Will one tablet harm her?

The past two days have been absolutely exhausting. Went to bed about four o'clock thursday morning, woke up around 8, took an organic chemistry final, came back, packed my apartment and moved it to storage then drove two hours to Hillsboro, Texas, getting in at about 1 in the morning. Then woke up at 9 o'clock, drove to the breeder's house in Scurry, picked up my beautiful new puppy, drove back to Austin, packed more while my pup frolicked around the apartment, then journeyed back to San…

Today was a very rare perfect spring day; about 68 degrees under a blue sky laced with puffy clouds. A perfect day for a hike with the Corgis! And a chance to try out my new camera.
There are lots of pictures but I shrunk them down so hopefully the page won't take too long to load.
The dogs were happy to get out off-leash.…

She never gets a "doggy" smell, unless she steps or rolls in something horrible. She always smells so good, just like she did when she was a puppy. I remember when we first got her and I would just bury my nose in her fur and rue the future in which she wouldn't smell like puppy heaven, but she still does. I also love her absolute zest for life, whether it's taking a long stroll around the neighborhood, fetching, playing with other doggies at the puppy park, or excelling at obedience. She is…

Omg I'm soooo excited!! We are getting a new pup! I can't wait! Now this is super big for us because we have been pratically homeless for a while now (living with very generous family) due to my husband being disabled and fighting with social security we lost everything car, house and no matter how hard I tried I just couldn't keep our heads above water with only my income. Well he finally got his social security but then we couldn't find a house because with losing everything our credit…

So Adora got fixed this morning and is now home with us and doing great, a little to great. The vet and vet tech were very surprised with how well with did. My only thing is that it hasn't even been 12 hours since her sergury and she just woun't sit still. Constantly turning in her crate and wanting to play. She has also already managed to get the cone of, and has already jumped up and off the couch when we opened her crate to go potty she i just to darn fast. but isn't going after her suture…

At long last we are moved into our first house! It's not finished, we still have painting left to do and work on the back yard but we had enough done to move in so we spent our first night there last night.
Finnigan hadn't been there yet and while we were packing up our things from my father-in-law's house where we had been staying a little over a month, you could tell he knew something was up. I drove him to the house and before we went inside I took him for a walk. There's a park…

Hi everyone!
I have a friend whose dog is being put on the old chicken and rice diet. Vet says they must stay on it. My friend is concerned that this will not give her dog all he needs. Are there certain supplements that should be given on this limited diet to help maintain the dog's health???
Appreciate your help!

My wife Debbie was cutting up some strawberries this morning to go with her breakfast. Gromit had finished his food and was watching her and since one of the berries was a bit mooshie she tossed it in Gromit's dish. He sniffed it a bit, and began licking it. Deb went back to her work, leaving Gromit unwatched...
Gromit, quietly and unseen, picked up the strawberry and carried it out into the living room onto the carpet and began…

My three Corgi-kids are in their shedding season. We all know how Corgis shed - even though they're short, the amount of hair they shed you wonder how a corgi could shed so much.
Was wondering...would the fur be something useful for the oil spill? Has anyone heard what kind of hair is usable? It would be great if it could do some good (the shedded fur).

My Aunt and Uncle just got back from Europe, and from England they brought me a stuffed corgi...it's wearing a crown and purple cape! It's so adorable I can barely stand it. Now to put it somewhere the real ones won't get a hold of it...I'm sure they'd love to "play" with the new pup!

John Stewart commenting on the state of the government in Great Britain suggested that the Queen appoint one of her corgis to be in charge. Great idea!
