he BIT me! :(

RAWR!  :(

my MOMO actually 'bit' me today!! Not sure if it was on purpose or accident, but he hasn't been eating his meals when i give it (for the pass 3 meals) and i've taken his food away, he seems to be "hungry" and bit me when i went to get my breakfast coffee from the fridge FOR WORK!

ARRGH.  I've been slacking on our family rules on him.  I thought he'd mature now, and be a good puppy,…

A mad, crazy, wonderful world

Ok you guys, it has been a CRAZY few days.  A video I posted of Fiona on YouTube went viral, and it has been a total roller coaster ride since then.  You can see the YouTube video here.  And below is a photo of her smiling about all the nice people saying warm and fuzzy things about her.…

It's almost a shame winter is ending...

haha, NOT! but you know, Machete will be super bummed because snow is his favorite toilet ever...but also because it will soon be too warm for mittens and cozy bundling-up things!

normally, i would not care, but this year my best friend's wife is making me a pair of CORGI MITTENS! ERMAHGERD MERTTERNS!

she finished one, and is working on the second now. i'm not willing more snow just for the awesome mittens, but i am VERY excited. :)…

1 year old corgi limping

Hi! I am kind of new to blogging, but I have a 1 year old corgi/daschound and he is pretty active, (he zonks out by 8pm nightly... Snoring and all). Anyways, we started noticing him limping here or there, and then he is fine. We have noticed it more when he is laying down or sleeping for awhile. I am just not sure.... Is this a corgi thing because of their build? Is there something that I should be giving him to keep his bones and body healthy? He is so young. Any advice would be greatly… Continue

How a little girl named Evee became part of our family

This weekend, in one of our crazier schemes, Jason and I welcomed  Even With a Kiss (called Evee) into our lives. It's been a whirlwind, to be sure, but despite the stress it's already worth it.

Thursday, my mother-in-law (Judy Lauborough, mom to two corgis of their own) reposted a Facebook post from the Wallowa County Humane Society in Enterprise, OR, advertising that someone was offering a private adoption of a 2 year old spayed female red…

Corgi's only do what they are told... if you tell them.

One of our corgi's was sent to help our maintenance guy take care of a sick horse.  She will clear the sheep and other horses out of the barn and hold them so that he can treat the leg injury.  My back is hurt so I sent Giz to help him as she would me.  I reminded him of the commands he would need and off they went.  He came back angery and frustrated.  All she did was run around barking at everything and running back and forth to me.  I was concerned, Giz knows her job and is very good at…

On Starting a Corgi Club

First, get permission from your corgi(s).

I am new to this website and do not know how to use the system.  However, I do have experience in starting various non profit and for profit entities ranging from a community foundation to a banking corporation.  The Gallatin Valley Corgi Club has shown the most amazing fun growth of any in which I have been involved.

Possibly a factor for success is that at age 65 I've finally learned one or two things.

I recall a now…

My corgi jealous/upset over my son's new girlfriend!

My corgi, Mini, loves/adores my son, age 27, he plays with her and she sometimes just stares at him, we joke it's his furry girlfriend!  Well, he's been busy with a girl he's been dating and brought her home for dinner last week, she was nice enough to bring Mini treats as Mini will sometimes pee in someones shoe's she doesn't like.  Well, I caught her sniffing the girls shoes, and hovering at the bottom of the stairs when they went upstairs to see a move.  Well, she took a huge BM by the…

So You think you want a Corgi! By Beth

Corgi's are amazing dogs!. And yes you need to do your research though every dog has it's own personality plus a lot has to do with training and obedience etc!. In 10 years that I've had Oscar I know all his traits good and bad and you know what I wouldn't trade him for anything!. He is very loyal, obedient, does not suffer fools! just like his old Man!. On the other hand he has his quirks! what dog doesn't but it all comes down to training as the old saying goes you only get back what you…

Spa Day With Poppy & Nickers!

Today Ziggy had another Corgi-Spa-Palooza with George, the super-awesome-Corgi-dad I met at work! The difference is that this time I GOT TO GO! I was able to trade a shift with a coworker so that I could go instead of making my boyfriend trudge along ;P Hehe. The fact that I got pics was of course just a minor plus (major sarcasm there with the minor bit!).…

Prayers for Dexter (not a corgi, but cousin to Noodles)--UPDATE

My brother and sister-in-law and their Mal-Shi, Dexter, could use some prayers. Dex had surgery yesterday to remove 3 lumps and per my sister-in-law, the 1 they looked at yesterday looks abnormal, so they are thinking cancer. They have to wait 2-7 days before they find out for sure and what kind, but I know they all could use your prayers. Below are the pictures of Dex after his surgery. They all had a rough night last night and no one slept. Dex is in a lot of pain. I know this breaks their…
