There's no doubt I have the laziest dog in the world.
Every dog owner I talk to has the same story when it comes to mornings. Their pups usually cannot wait to get up. They run to wake up the kids when alarm goes off, they wiggle their bodies and whine anxious to get out of the crate, they rub their faces on their owners and radiate excitement.
Shiro had never had any of this happened. Not even once. Our mornings are totally different.
Usually I get up at 6, but on weekends I…

Today is the day! :]
I met a breeder this past Sunday and today I go back to pick out my puppy. They were all too cute. If they had tails I would have sworn they were piglets. I forgot how sharp puppy teeth are too, I had raw knuckles after 5 minutes in the pen.
I am looking forward to being a corgi owner, toughing through the bad and loving the good.
Time to meet my brother for lunch. Have to wait until the breeder is home before the insanely long drive down…

The wonderful thing about Teggies
Is Teggies are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!
But the most wonderful thing about Teggies
Is I'm the only one!

We were hanging out in the fenced dog area in my neighborhood when I saw two labradors runnig towards us and 3 kids and 2 adults trying to catch them. They stopped next to the fence to say hello to Shiro and he was super excited. LAter on the owners let their dogs in the park. At first I was a little nervous because of how big they are, but then I saw how careful and gentle they were with Shiro and I let him off the leash. He had a blast! It was really funny to see him trying to catch up with…

I live in Australia. It is extremely rare that I see a Corgi these days. Is it because they are 'out of fashion'? Years ago, the Afghan Hound was the 'in' dog to have. These days you very rarely see an Afghan Hound. I think it is a shame when a dog breed is used as a fashion statement. I think the Corgi is best know as the Queen's dogs. By what I have seen there appears to be more Corgis in the USA than here in Australia. Any idea why they would be so rare these days?

So it happened, we drove for 4 hours and picked up our precious baby. The breeder crate trained him, so he was totally fine while driving. In fact, he went to sleep as soon as we put him there. He's great with potty training besides couple of accidents at home right before my eyes (it's very hard to tell when he's going as he doesn't change his position and does it in seconds). I usually let him have some water in the morning, then take him outside to relieve himself.
He hasn't been eating…

I've been wanting so bad to get Pooka to the beach, and was hoping to do it before she turned 6 months so she would adjust to it easier. Turns out we got down there the day after her 6 month mark, and I had nothing to worry about. For you see,
Pooka is a beach dog.
I am a beach girl, so I am very pleased. One of my favorite activities is digging holes in the sand at the beach, and ever since Pooka got…

OK so here's the newest course of fun.
Milo has been doing well on sleeping in his crate each night. He rarely even cries. He climbs in, we cover it with a blanket, he sleeps. Like clockwork, he starts crying to be let out around 6:30, which is good for our schedule so that's been fine. Such has been the way of things for the last two weeks straight, really without fail. But here I am now, writing this post, unable to get Milo to stop crying (it's currently 2AM). I put him in his…

Today I took Bella for her puppy booster. She just has 1 more to go. They weighed her and she weighs 11 lbs.! I was so surprised since the last time she only weighed 6.4 lbs. My baby's getting bigger but she still looks small to me. She's such a joy, even though she likes to cause a ruckus around here. :) And she has gotten so pretty. Her coloring is so pretty to me. I've never seen a sable corgi before, but she has black markings in the prettiest places. She looks different almost every week.…

It's true. Optimus will pretty much choose me to nibble on/bite over any of his toys. So far he has a rope, a kong (the red rubbery things), a frisbee, a hedgehog, 2 tennis balls (extra strength), and a frisbee. Even with all those, I'm more fun to eat I guess. Is this just a puppy thing? He's only 9.5 weeks old and he's still learning quite a bit. I'm trying to substitute a toy whenever he starts biting me, but it only works about 25-50% of the time. It's not really bad now, but it's just…

Last night Optimus finally came home with us! He is so adorable and fluffy and cuddle, and just a real sweetheart. He loves giving kisses and little play bites. He seems partially house trained already, which is a huge relief. He'll sniff around a lot and whine a bit when he's ready to go out (if we don't realize in time though, he'll pee on the carpet :p). Anyways, after we take him out to go potty he like romping around outside. One of his favorite things he's found so far are pine cones. I'm…

Banzai has always had this tiny bit of a habit of hooking his bottom jaw under his collars and chewing on them. I have probably only seen him do it about 10 times max since I've been putting collars on him. But today I wake up, go into the living room, and spot something chewed up on the floor. I wonder, what on earth it can be since my mom closes off her room from him now? He used to go in there to get things to chew on. Then I realize it's his pretty blue collar.
At first I was…

I just spent a month away from my FuzzyButt baby. I went to see my boyfriend up in Washington State. I was worried about taking Banzai with me since my connecting flight was in Chicago. American Airlines has a weather restriction when it comes to pets traveling in cargo. Below 40 degrees a vet needs to sign a waver stating that the animal can withstand the temperatures. But anything below 20 something degrees is not allowed. So I opted to play it safe and left Banzai home with my mom. It is a…

Ein was selected to be the Daily Puppy for Monday, December 29. You can check her out (after they've updated it) at
http://www.dailypuppy.com. It is still showing up as Sunday's puppy as of this posting, but I'm sure it will be updated by morning. :)

I finally got Ein's blog up and running. Her domain is
http://www.einpuppy.com. The site is up and it has some content, but I need to make her a logo, and I need to finish updating to get to the present. :) I'm mostly keeping the blog to remind myself of how adorable she was/is as she grows. It's like a virtual scrapbook! She's already 12 weeks, and it seems like she's grown so much. :)
