Ok, so last night I took Optimus out our back door which is a sliding glass door. After he's done doing his thing, we head back inside. Optimus hops up the single step and smacks right into the glass door. I was worried for a sec, but after he didn't even let out a whimper, I couldn't help but laugh. Needless to say he's learned his lesson and he takes that step a little slower now.

It's true. Optimus will pretty much choose me to nibble on/bite over any of his toys. So far he has a rope, a kong (the red rubbery things), a frisbee, a hedgehog, 2 tennis balls (extra strength), and a frisbee. Even with all those, I'm more fun to eat I guess. Is this just a puppy thing? He's only 9.5 weeks old and he's still learning quite a bit. I'm trying to substitute a toy whenever he starts biting me, but it only works about 25-50% of the time. It's not really bad now, but it's just…

Chloe went to a dog park for the first time on Saturday. She seemed to enjoy it. Mom hosted Bunko. Chloe enjoyed the party, after all people came to see her!

So Juneaux typically IS a barker. Considering that she's pretty social with our extended family and their pets, she's always on the offensive whenever we take her to Petsmart. She barks at dogs and people when we go:( We'd never had a problem with her barking out back, just a random bark here and there, until recently...
With the exception of last night, the last few nights have been awful! Poor neighbors! She will start barking at about 2 am, and for about 30 min!! Plus she's pretty…

This morning turned out to be a memorable one. For the first time, there was a rabbit in our yard. In our virtually inescapable yard. I'm not even sure how it got in. I did what I usually do, open the door to let them run out. Usually I would walk out too, but since it was below zero I chose the warmer garage to stand in.
Next, I hear Pandora bark. This is a strange occurrence, since she is a relatively quiet dog. Then, Trunks starts making a warbling bark noise which would continue…

We have had almost 5 full days with Morna. She is a delightfully intelligent, inquisitive little creature. ....and she has had us running for the full five days! She certainly lives up to the descriptions of corgis....really smart, lots of energy, curious. She and Bear have become friends and we have seen the two of them lying snuggled together sleeping. This happened once Morna stopped jumping up at Bear's belly, looking for food, I suspect.
The cats are still not speaking to anyone…

Hey guys, I am looking for all those web design and coding geniuses to help me with something that is probably really simple - setting up a shopping cart on an existing website! I'm finally building my dog collar website and I've never set up a shopping cart before! Now that I've gone around and looked at all the other collar websites, it's becoming clear to me that a shopping cart is going to be a necessity.
Just drop me a PM if you are one of those geniuses who can help me out. Any…

So after a pretty much uneventful night, no whining, no crying, no potty accidents or any hoopla with Spooky, the cat, we had our first morning. Pretty good over all.
I came out of my room and let him out to pee while I woke the kids up. Ein was a little excited when the boy came out of his room, and jumped a little, but this was quickly corrected to a more proper behavior, and was a little darty when he tried to leave out for the bus. It took a couple minutes of patience for him to…

Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my Kiwi! I can't believe that she's already 1 year old, it seems like just yesterday we were getting the email from the breeder saying she had been born. I have a big day planned for her, of playtime at daycare, visiting her favorite pet stores and playtime with her best friend Sam, the Bernese Mt. Dog. I think tonight she might even get a special little dinner! I'm such a nerd....
Anyway, Happy Birthday Kiwi Pup!

So on Sunday, Range and I went for our daily, after work walk around my condo. Then as we were walking, Range see's another dog, a Jack Russel being walked by his owner. So as we catch each others eyes, (the dog owner), I ask her if Range can say "Hi!" because he loves to say "Hi!" to other dogs all the time and I've never seen her before with her Jack Russel. So she asks, "Is he a boy or a girl?" and I answer, "He's a boy." and she says, "Okay."
So as I get closer, and Range starts…

I do have a favor to ask. Pasco was a rescue that was found on the side of the road in Pasco County. He is now almost three years old. From my calculations he should have been born around March 21st of 2006. Now I do understand that he could have come from a puppy store, or an out of state breeder. But if anyone has any ideas on his history I would love to find out anything about his past before I got him. Any info would be great. It's not going to change how much I love him, it will just help…

Ok, I was reluctant to shell out so much cash for a doggie comb... partly because Nutmeg was not feeling the brush. By feeling, I mean she would freak out, and cry. I was SO gentle, and coo'd to her the whole time. She LOVES LOVES LOVES baths! If she could shower with me every morning she would! If she could make it over the tub, I'm sure she would jump in herself. My issue was the combing/brushing. So...I breakdown and buy the Furminator. OMG! She was iffy at first, but soon was just about…

Hi everyone,
As you may have noticed, I'm not a huge fan of blogging, but I feel strongly enough about this that I'm making an exception. I'm going to be participating in a March of Dimes fundraiser walk - March for Babies!
Check out my March of Dimes website and feel free to donate, if you feel so inclined!

I've joined March for Babies because I've learned that you can read all the right books, take all the…

Hey all - I was wondering if any of your corgis yawned a lot when you pet them or give them corgi massages. Everytime I give ziggy a little massage or rub his sides, he usually gives out several big yawns. Is this just another bit of lovable weirdness? Thanks!!

I just realized that it has been a long time since I have done anything on here, I have been sidetracked lately with a horse rescue group site. So I just thought I would post a quick up date on my furkids. I guess most importantly is that Taz is growing like crazy he is now 13 weeks I believe. He is almost big enough to get on the couch by himself. Almost but not quite, but it will be soon. He is so funny because he thinks that everytime I sit on the couch he needs to also, so he will put his…

I've never written in the mycorgi.com blog or (any blog really), we just joined recently. My corgi's name is Cha Yen, she's a mixed Pembroke with Australian Shepherd. As you can see from the pictures she definitely picked up more of the Corgi's physical characteristics! When we go on walks, most people can tell that she's a Corgi, but all Corgi owners and lovers can immediately tell she's mixed. She just turned 1 year old 2 weeks ago :)
It's…

I just wanted to post an introduction to myself and quickly explain that I don't have Corgis but DO have a lot of dogs.
I joined because my son's housemate is a member here, and they have a pair of Corgis that I like to see in photos, and read about in posts. I have posted some pics of our gang already, and will be posting a few more in the coming days. I hope you don't mind non-Corgi pictures on the site!
I live in Maryland, on 35 acres with a S.O. named Jacques. We…
