So I decided to take my Pupsters for their first camping trip. Little did I know how much fun it would be. A girl I work with asked if I wanted to accompany her and her family for an outting in Sequoia National Park. Now how could I resist such a temptation. . .lol
The first night was marvelous, aside from the Bear that came into the campground. My friend and her family brought a couple of tents. . .well I decided I would rather sleep in my SUV since the back folds down… Continue

Oh, my gosh -- you all can't believe how I feel right now -- a sudden wave of mixed emotions has taken my breath away to find Dooley on here! I'm crying and really don't have much to say because the words are hard to come by -- I will talk with everyone later.

On Saturday, October 31st, (Halloween) Dooley was taken to Texas to be adopted. I didn't pre-post or discuss this ahead of time, as I didn't want to vacillate and question myself in self torment. Now, that I'm home, slept for a few hours after a long road trip, am drinking coffee while Topaz and Frankie are outside enjoying the beautiful weather and sunshine, I'm actually tormented anyway.
After 2 1/2 months of fostering Dooley, awaiting placement, getting excited because a space…

Home found and he's doing awesome in it! Thank you for all your help! :D
I don't have all the details yet, and I've only met the dog a few times myself.
However, he's coming here tomorrow morning to foster with me and I'll evaluate him and get a better picture of what he's like...
Edit - okay, this is a NICE dog. A really, really nice dog. If I didn't have four of my own I'd take this guy, but he really deserves a home where he can be an only child. I…

So training and everything has gone well and Charlie has been adapted well into the mix of daily life.
Though we've come to a brick wall and now, staring at it trying to think of the best way to confront it.
When we first got Charlie he cried a little bit in his crate at night but then that went away. At night it is fine and he understands that sometime in the morning someone will come and let him out.
The issue is when we are away.. and sometimes when we are…

Today is the 30th day for fostering Dooley and I feel a heavy weight on my chest. I hadn't heard anything from the rescue group in Wichita, Kansas, since the 22nd of August -- until 3 days ago. Actually, by that time I was hoping they had forgotten all about Dooley!
I also heard from another rescue/adoption group in Texas inquiring about both Frankie and Dooley on the same day.
My heart sank, I went into a deep fog, and couldn't -- and still can't -- catch my breath --…

Well, by now, many of you have seen the urgent post of a couple of days ago regarding a Tri-Colored Fluffy in a kill shelter in Kansas. So that some of you may understand better what I went through to save this little boy, I will explain in greater detail.
First, I am a volunteer rescue transport in Oklahoma and have transported many dogs of all breeds in the past several years, as I live in a town that also has a kill shelter.
Second, I was advised that there was a…

I’ve been pretty busy with my other blogs (I do 5 with this one) and I’ve been twittering, too.
We aren’t sure if Dott is pregnant or not. She did manage to sneak out with Doug (the full male foster corgi we had for about 6 weeks), but then we had bred OC 5 times (she only came in once a year & we started when she was 2) before she actually took and had pups, so we don’t know what’s going to happen as this wasn’t a multiple…

Dott and BG had their third (human years) birthday on Wednesday. That makes them 21 in dog years!. Where has the time gone? Pups grow up way to fast!
Dott's Master, Robert, got us party hats (Sarcastic Hurrays here!)...

The wonderful thing about Teggies
Is Teggies are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy
Fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN!
But the most wonderful thing about Teggies
Is I'm the only one!

Hi! I’m BG, and Mama is finally letting me get on here and introduce myself! BG stands for Bud’s Grandson, and that was what my first master named me when he took me home at 8 weeks old. He is one of my Mom’s sons, and had me for 2 months. I really loved him and my little mistress who was about 2 ½ years old at the time. Unfortunately, he had some problems and had to move to a place where he couldn’t keep me.
Mom had made arrangements for all of…

Today I took Bella for her puppy booster. She just has 1 more to go. They weighed her and she weighs 11 lbs.! I was so surprised since the last time she only weighed 6.4 lbs. My baby's getting bigger but she still looks small to me. She's such a joy, even though she likes to cause a ruckus around here. :) And she has gotten so pretty. Her coloring is so pretty to me. I've never seen a sable corgi before, but she has black markings in the prettiest places. She looks different almost every week.…

Last weekend (July 18-20) Taffy and I went to Omaha to the Nebraska Kennel Club trial. It was a big trial with Conformation, Rally, Obedience and Agility all in one place. We entered all the Agility events and decided to give Rally a whirl. I figured she's an obedient dog, she should be able to do Rally, right? Well, she can do it but turns out I'm not so hot! The first day of Rally I was extremely nervous. I'm certain I did several commands totally wrong. There was a "down, walk around" and I…

Well, Agro is recovering just nicely. He's in full play mode today. The swelling has completely disappeared and his sutures are healing and fading. The vet used internal sutures so theres virtually no signs of a scar or anything. I also wanted to thank all those who left encouraging messages and advice on my previous posts. I'm sure Agro appreciates them as well.

Well, we just picked Agro up from the Vet a few minutes ago. I'm happy to say that the procedure was a success and Agro is currently back home resting in his kennel. I was expecting him to be in a lot of pain but when they brought him out he was perfectly happy, showing signs of curiosity as he leaned in to take a whiff of the medication the vet was presenting us. When I saw that I giggled slightly and thought to myself, "Yeah, he's OK. I need to stop worrying." So I did and I have thus far…

And I'm a bit nervous. This coming Friday my corgi pup, Agro, is scheduled to be neutered. I'm a bit worried for the little guy simply because I don't want him to feel any pain. I know dogs get neutered all the time w/o any real complications. I mean, I might expect some suture rupture or infection but I know he'll ultimately be fine. I just hate having to anticipate and later deal with my corgi having to suffer. My partner and I debated whether his pain was ultimately worth him being neutered.…

Well they came and they left... Roxi's first visit to the grand ol' Washington DC.. She seemed to enjoy it and I'm happy since we'll be here for a little while :).
The first couple minutes they were here, she met her first other corgi besides her siblings when we first got her.. A little ball of fluff the neighbors picked up since they lost their other corgi and its sibling is about to pass away as well.. So it was interesting to watch them interact.. the puppy going nuts at the end…
