The day finally came. We had our wedding on the 14th so Finn no longer has to worry about being made fun off by the other pups for his parents not being married. :) We've been planning the wedding for the past year and a half and everything turned out great. There were a few issues along the way but they worked themselves out in the end. It was very stressful as the big day drew closer, especially since Jason was laid off a week before the wedding. Talk about bad timing! We had to put aside…

Hi guys, Pooka has yet to encounter a south Texas summer and I'm worried about her getting too hot (at least she'll probably calm down and not want to play fetch as much =P) I've been wanting to make my own dog bed for her because they're so expensive and none have really stricken me in their fabric choice. She really liked just this big pillow her friend Aurora had, so I figure that would be simple enough. I can even make it to have a cover for easy washing.
In looking up beds, I…

Ok, so I took FOREVER to get back to this point, but life has been busy. In addition to the Las Vegas trip, I've had a Christmas homecoming to manage with family coming in from Montana, a new job, and just laziness in general.
So, here was the big news...
I got engaged!
That's right! On our Las Vegas vacation, Brandon proposed to me on a private gondola ride through the indoor waterways of the Venetian Hotel. We were serenaded by the most beautiful singing I've ever…

This past Saturday, I made a trip to Madison, SD to look at Cricket, a rescue corgi. She was saved from a puppy mill at 4 years old. She sweet, loving, and a little shy. I took Riley and Brandon down to see her at a meet-and-greet at the Pamida. My first reaction of her was she was kind but timid. What surprised me was that after I got Riley out of the car, she came up to him first, instead of Riley making the first move. Riley was in full-on explore mode, and Cricket quietly came upt o greet…

Puppy day! Puppy day! PUPPY DAY PUP-EE DAAAAY!!!"
Can't wait till 1:30pm. That's the time after that we can go see the new pup. Going to play and take pictures, and get licked, smell puppy breath, and chew water bottles, and play Foot Canasta, and then maybe if we have time go TP a neighbors house!! OK Maybe not the last two but still I am gonna get my fill better than I would ever at Arky Barkys, one of our local "we don't buy from puppy mills, but we sell for 3 times what we…

They look so cute when illustrated!!
I have 3 webcomics to show y'all (two are by the same person)
Girly is a weird adventure comic (with occasional mature content) featuring a girl and her "sidekick". There is a corgi who wears glasses who lives in their town. He is very fast!…

Hey guys, just got back to the HQ. Operation "Miami Girl" was a success! "Penny" was a stray in the streets of Miami, she was picked up by the Miami Dade animal control
last week and ended up in a high kill shelter.
This morning Lori busted her out of the shelter, Penny was then transferred to Bill, we met up half way and now she's home with me :) She is a little groggy from getting spayed yesterday, but she has a…

Well today was the day. We picked Jeep up from the breeder.
He is really so special, tiny and cute. He can even fetch already he's so smart.
He just slept for an hour or so. I'm so happy at this moment.

Yesterday I had a total scare.
My neighbors have a huge rottweiler and a jack russell terrier. Neither of us have our dogs in the back yard if we aren't with them. We have tried in the past to introduce their dog to our , but the rottie must see see our 3 months old corgis as basketballs(which he like to pop and drag around). We came upon an agreement that only on one of us would have dogs out at one time. So yesterday I check their back yard and no dogs and let the puppies out. They were…

So Winston's has this hot spot for a few months now... He was first on antihistamines for a while and they would stop the itching temporarily but he was still itching once we ran out. I took him back to the vet today and told them the dealio and they gave him some more antihistamines and also gave him a shot.. And he was such a good boy during the shot. I was so proud! He didn't even flinch.. I knew he hated it but he didn't bark, bite, try to get away, anything! The vet was surprised, he said…

Are my only options taping and yogurt?? We've done the yogurt thing about 2-3 weeks now and still nothing. I've hesitated taping, only because I know Juneaux will tear them off his ears anyway. Max is already a few days away from turning 14 weeks...should I just try taping??

We took Echo to the vet today for his 12-week shots. He was a hit! The receptionists spent the whole time he was in the waiting room playing with him, and the vet said he was a very good looking corgi. "Better looking than most corgis", he said. Well, that's something! I thought that was a funny thing to say, but I have to admit that from a proud mama standpoint, I have to agree with him! :)

Freya has surprised me in the last week. Outside of the incident with my boyfriend, she's been doing fine and I've been dealing with it as it happens. If Cloud instigates when she's in her kennel trying to eat or play with something, I'll lock him outside in the yard--which he doesn't mind cause there's a girl dog next door that he likes. Freya is really starting to learn how to play by herself. She was growling at her orka bone and scramblin it with her back legs while she's on her back--it…

Well, leon is now one people year old, which translates into 10 doggie years. :) Thanks to everyone who has given happy birthdays. And our day was eventful enough. He had me up at 7:30 in the morning and at 11:30 we drove up to the southcenter mall area with james so that I could get 'The Graveyard Book' from B&N, and went to petco after so james could get him some toys and treats. Leon was dragging me all over everywhere and I was just about having trouble keeping up and from falling over…

I have decided to name my sweet little girl Lyla!!
I was talking to a friend this evening and "polling" her on what name she liked. She said she didn't like Lyla because it reminded her of Delilah which reminded her of the song by the Plain White T's that she hates. Well, her explanation backfired because I love that song!
All of my pets are named after something I like. I have a cat named after my favorite TV character and a dog named after a character one of my favorite…

Unless you read it on the mycorgi post or hear it on the our local news you wouldn't know about poor Bear and her encounter with Anti-freeze.
On the 18th of Feb. our neighbor came into pur fenced back yard in the middle of the night and put Anti-freeze in my two Corgi's water bowl. They are inside dogs (but when they are outside playing I want them to have water.) On the 19th Bear only drank from it and I noticed she wasn't acting normal right away so I was looking on our porch to see if…

OK so here's the newest course of fun.
Milo has been doing well on sleeping in his crate each night. He rarely even cries. He climbs in, we cover it with a blanket, he sleeps. Like clockwork, he starts crying to be let out around 6:30, which is good for our schedule so that's been fine. Such has been the way of things for the last two weeks straight, really without fail. But here I am now, writing this post, unable to get Milo to stop crying (it's currently 2AM). I put him in his…

So I posted this in an already-started forum, but it was from 2007 so I figured I would just post it as a personal blog and see if any of you people could help me out...
Has anyone ever tried the Beneful healthy weight food? Since Winston isn't living with me it's hard for me to control what he eats and doesn't eat... Hence why my boyfriends mom (Winston's been staying with my boyfriend and his parents for now) has been feeding Winston a FULL HOT DOG every morning for breakfast...…
