Wedded Bliss

The day finally came. We had our wedding on the 14th so Finn no longer has to worry about being made fun off by the other pups for his parents not being married. :) We've been planning the wedding for the past year and a half and everything turned out great. Water Bed for a Hot Corgi?

Hi guys, Pooka has yet to encounter a south Texas summer and I'm worried about her getting too hot (at least she'll probably calm down and not want to play fetch as much =P) I've been wanting to make my own dog bed for her because they're so expensive and none have really stricken me in their fabric choice. Las Vegas trip

The search is on!

This past Saturday, I made a trip to Madison, SD to look at Cricket, a rescue corgi. She was saved from a puppy mill at 4 years old. She sweet, loving, and a little shy. I took Riley and Brandon down to see her at a meet-and-greet at the Pamida. My first reaction of her was she was kind but timid. Operation "Miami Girl"

Homecoming

Well today was the day. We picked Jeep up from the breeder.

He is really so special, tiny and cute. He can even fetch already he's so smart.

He just slept for an hour or so. I'm so happy at this moment.

It all happened within a blink of an eye...

Yesterday I had a total scare.

My neighbors have a huge rottweiler and a jack russell terrier. Neither of us have our dogs in the back yard if we aren't with them. We have tried in the past to introduce their dog to our , but the rottie must see see our 3 months old corgis as basketballs(which he like to pop and drag around). Winston's the best dog ever!... When it comes to the vet.

So Winston's has this hot spot for a few months now... He was first on antihistamines for a while and they would stop the itching temporarily but he was still itching once we ran out. I took him back to the vet today and told them the dealio and they gave him some more antihistamines and also gave him a shot.. And he was such a good boy during the shot. I was so proud! Ears still not up...

Are my only options taping and yogurt?? We've done the yogurt thing about 2-3 weeks now and still nothing. I've hesitated taping, only because I know Juneaux will tear them off his ears anyway. Max is already a few days away from turning 14 weeks...should I just try taping??

"Better looking than most"

We took Echo to the vet today for his 12-week shots. He was a hit! The receptionists spent the whole time he was in the waiting room playing with him, and the vet said he was a very good looking corgi. "Better looking than most corgis", he said. Well, that's something! I thought that was a funny thing to say, but I have to admit that from a proud mama standpoint, I have to agree with him! :)

She's A Big Girl

Freya has surprised me in the last week. Outside of the incident with my boyfriend, she's been doing fine and I've been dealing with it as it happens. If Cloud instigates when she's in her kennel trying to eat or play with something, I'll lock him outside in the yard--which he doesn't mind cause there's a girl dog next door that he likes. Leon's Birthday!

Well, leon is now one people year old, which translates into 10 doggie years. :) Thanks to everyone who has given happy birthdays. And our day was eventful enough. He had me up at 7:30 in the morning and at 11:30 we drove up to the southcenter mall area with james so that I could get 'The Graveyard Book' from B&N, and went to petco after so james could get him some toys and treats. Puppy has a name!

I have decided to name my sweet little girl Lyla!!

I was talking to a friend this evening and "polling" her on what name she liked. She said she didn't like Lyla because it reminded her of Delilah which reminded her of the song by the Plain White T's that she hates. Well, her explanation backfired because I love that song!

Info about Bear's antifreeze poisoning

Unless you read it on the mycorgi post or hear it on the our local news you wouldn't know about poor Bear and her encounter with Anti-freeze.

On the 18th of Feb. our neighbor came into pur fenced back yard in the middle of the night and put Anti-freeze in my two Corgi's water bowl. Bleary-Eyed, please help

OK so here's the newest course of fun.

Milo has been doing well on sleeping in his crate each night. He rarely even cries. He climbs in, we cover it with a blanket, he sleeps. Like clockwork, he starts crying to be let out around 6:30, which is good for our schedule so that's been fine. Such has been the way of things for the last two weeks straight, really without fail.
