Dyllan is really growing up fast. You want them to grow out of the puppy stage but then at the same time you dont!! It will be nice when I can trust him alone in the house out of the crate, but for now I am enjoying him as his little puppy self..only problem is he doesnt think he is little! He was playing with our other puppy Kori [german shepherd} she is now 5 months old and 50 pounds to his 12 pounds. Another german shepherd puppy Gunner was over playing he is 60 pounds and Dyllan got their…

Max is currently at the Vet, "having his Man-hood taken away" which is bad for him already.
Yesterday evening his left eye started blinking a lot. 30 minutes later it was closing. An hour later it started to swell underneath and was closing more. It looked as if he was punched. We ended up taking him that evening to the Animal Hospital. The vet there had to sedate him so she could look at his eye. She said sometimes they can get small objects caught underneath the eyelid. She saw a…

Hey guys, if you've been following me on twitter lately, you probably knew I spent the Easter weekend down in Ft Lauderdale. Besides yummy Cuban sandwiches for breakfast, I have to say my stay at the LaQuinta was a surprise. In the past I tend to stay away from cheap motels or any Inn with the number 6 or 8, however, due to one of my trusty friend's review, I gave LaQunta another look. The check in process was good, I arrived 2 hours before the check in time, no biggie, the front desk person…

here goes...
max and juni are doing great, of course! his ears STILL aren't up, but they're "perkier" than when he was a pup, so we're hopeful, lol! they get along pretty well, of course the other day they fought for the same rib bone, even though they each had their own--juneaux has a sharing problem sometimes, we think.
max is definitely the sweetheart, juni too of course, but max just LOVES to snuggle. juni isn't a big snuggler, but she does like a good belly rub:)…

Although we have had her for such a short time really it has been nothing but a joy. We believe we have a champion frapper in the making, Sami can go like a bat on steroids. She has had only one accident in the house since Monday night when we got her. It was not her fault but mine, reminded me she was not the only one learning but so are we, I thought she was just talking (she is already very vocal) didn't understand she was saying "hey lady I gotta pee can you help me out here"? How such a…

Well Koby is growing up faster than I could imagine! He has lost all his front top and bottom teeth. He is looking really muscular and really doing well with the potty training! I am so happy with him. Each day as he grows older he is molding into the great dog he is going to be.
Be careful what you pray for because god answers those prayers!! I prayed that Koby would act like Riley and he is sooo much like him it is almost scary!! He chases bubbles, walks himself on the leash(carries it…

Hi! I’m BG, and Mama is finally letting me get on here and introduce myself! BG stands for Bud’s Grandson, and that was what my first master named me when he took me home at 8 weeks old. He is one of my Mom’s sons, and had me for 2 months. I really loved him and my little mistress who was about 2 ½ years old at the time. Unfortunately, he had some problems and had to move to a place where he couldn’t keep me.
Mom had made arrangements for all of…

Oy! Its been a bit hectic, just getting around to posting this now...
On Saturday, Dustin & I went to see a litter from Cindy Pera - Summithill Corgis in Acton, CA. I posted pics over the weekend, feel free to check them out.
There were 8 puppies in the litter, 5 male, 3 female. We know we want a little boy, so she didnt even bring the girls out. They were 4 weeks old last Sunday. Dad is a black-headed tri, Mom is a R&W. Two of the boys in the litter are tris (I…

I took Eddy to play with my sister's chiuaua, Dublin, all day. He is a little more robust, but not as tall as her. She was far superior, more coordinated and more dominant, of course. They wrestled all over the place, and she was usually snappy and impatient, and showed utter annoyance for his whining and yipping. She probably won't be so bossy in another month or so. They also have this GIANT white dog, looks like a lab body and a german shepherd head, that Eddy would
not go near, even…

So, Hannah had her first check-up at the vet today. She is 5 and 1/2 months old and weighed in at 13 pounds. She had her last distemper shot as well as her rabies, so she's all caught up for the next year. The vet said she looks very good and everything checked out fine. Got her started on HeartGuard today as well. They said she will be all set for her spay in a month. All the vet techs and secretaries loved her. She wanted to play with everyone and was even licking all over the doc after her…

Milo took the first round of heartworm treatment really well yesterday. Today is his second and final round of heartworm treatment. Let's hope that this kills the buggers as it seems like they won't put much effort into his problem after this.
I truly hope it works. I love the little guy. He's the sweetest dog I've ever been around and the quietest too! So far I've only heard him whine whenever I'm not in view of him or if I'm crying. I never expected him to be so bonded to me so…

My heavens what a difference a year makes! I can't wait to get the video off the camera so I can post it. I'm going to put Dudley's run in Novice jumpers last year next to this years Open Jumpers run for comparison. While he didn't qualify on either run, the difference is astounding. Last year he did 2 or 3 jumps and then zoomied around the ring with me trying to get him to the exit where he decided the tunnel looked especially enticing. He tried to see how many times he could get through it…

As per my previous post, yesterday was Finn's appointment to be neutered, have his hips x-rayed and check out his tummy in the x-ray as well to make sure he didn't have something stuck in there. There was good news and bad news, so we'll start with the good.
The good news is that Finn's surgery went very well. He has two incisions one of which is low at the base of the scrotum where they usually go to neuter and another on his abdomen (this one is larger). The vet hoped he'd find…

Optimus is nearly 5 months old now and he still bites at our hands if there's no toys anywhere nearby. They're just play bites, but he still hasn't lost all his baby teeth yet, so they're still pretty sharp. Everyone keeps saying he'll outgrow it, but I'm wondering if it's something that we really need to start conditioning him against. We hold his mouth shut for about 10 seconds when we can, but he's very quick and catching him is sometimes hard. Not to mention he thinks we're just playing.…

I'd like Chloe to learn to pick up her toys and put them back in her basket. On the rare occasion when she does put them in the basket I make a big deal about it. I was not that succesful with my sons, but Chloe is more motivated by food.

Lizzie and I attended a "Birthday" party at Pet Smart tonight... we played musical sits (music is played and last dog to sit is out!) and Lizzie came in 2nd.. I am very proud! She won $20 in purina pet food coupons.. which we used to buy two big bags of cat food for our kitty gang! (Lizzie eats Iams)

so mum and dad have been searching high and low for a new place to call home for us. they've seen quite a few, let me tell ya! oh but this last house was different. according to mum, it had what she called a "Corgi Omen" in that the ppl currently living there have a corgi too! what are the odds??? there are very few corgis in san antonio and to find one upon a walkthrough is simply ridiculous or atleast that's what mom and dad think. the house looks great and the owners have kids as well. my…

These last few weeks has been an adventure at Petfinder.com
Cricket didn't work out because the shelter didn't email me back or contact me at all about questions and concerns I had. So now I'm looking outside the state. My search has taken me to two different cities in Minnesota. Chloe in New Ulm, MN and Cooper in Tracy, MN.
Chloe has had it rough. she's been to two different homes and had problems because the people didn't properly understand the breed and its demands,…

It's been 75-85 degrees here for the past few days... which is way too hot for Eddy, Mike, and myself. It's really frustrating because Eddy refuses to go on his walks since it's been so hot! He'll potty and run around a tad if we're in the shade, but I can't get him to go on a walk because our walking places are mostly in sunlight. He just wants to go back inside where it's cool. I mean, I don't blame him, but then he brings all that energy indoors, which means.. destruction, barking,…
