So after MUCH debate, I might be able to get my lovely boyfriend to budge on a corgi mix. Does anyone know where we could find a aussie corgi perhaps? We are willing to take in a rescue as long as it does not have too many health problems.

It has now been twelve days since Murphy passed away. He was my very best friend and most loyal companion, and I know that because we both cherished each other so fully in life, that I am able to heal a lot easier than I thought I would. Maya and Moses have been a HUGE help and I am so lucky and thankful that they were, and are, here.

This past Saturday I drove up to Ranier Oregon to meet with Sue Sebring of Corgis of Narnia. She was a VERY nice woman I got to meet all of her 14 corgis, she has 12 Pems and 2 Cardis. They were all so beautiful, nice, and well taken care of. She really seems to know what she is doing, she is very organized, all the dogs have been tested against DM and Von Willabrands. She is planning on breeding one of the beautiful females in June, I cant remember her name, but she is gorgeous. She invited…

Just found out form my sil that there's a corgi mix in a shelter (no kill) up by them in Black River Falls.  She's worried he won't get addopted as no one around there knows what a corgi is.  DH is going to check him out and may be bringing him home.  If he doesn't work outg with our 2 pups we may need to rehome, but hoepfully all will go well. 

It's Sunday.  He looks like he feels 100% better--maybe 90 or 95%.  He wants to do things now and he isn't okay with not doing them. It's so hard to ignore his frequent requests to play and whining to go outside.  But I can't.  I musn't.  He must stay still, at least for today, and then we can do baby things the rest of the week so we are prepared to return to the hiking circuit.  …

So Saber didn't use to beg.  You could eat food in the same room and she wouldn't care.  Then came Easter...and Uncle Frank.  Uncle Frank has a cattle dog that he lets eat whatever he wants.  As he puts it, he could put a bowl of kibble and a bowl of human food next to each other and the dog will never go for the kibble. Never have I been so thankful for my dogs ears as I was this morning. 

At 5 am, Kaida got up and started growling/barking, so I got up to take her out thinking she just needed to go potty.  Well, I got her collar and leash on, start to take her out and then I hear another dogs tags jingling.  I get Kaida back inside with a bit of effort then grab a flashlight and broom (it was the closest "weapon" I could find!).  I slowly venture into our backyard as we've had instances of…

I finally got Stinky Wink's grave pretty much finished. I'll have to wait for the bricks to settle more, so I can level them, tighten them, and mortar between them. I am so pleased with the stone that Chris made and the Corgi statue I got from eBay.  The irises will soon be blooming on three sides. I am going to plant dianthus to the north side of the grave…
