So I went away for about a week and a half to help my dad move down to North Carolina, from Upstate NY. It was a grueling 14hr drive one way.
I left the dog home because (a)my Aunt doesn't really like dogs, and (b) her fiance is severely allergic to animals. Like we went to a Zoo and he broke out and had an attack just from being at the Zoo, and this guy loves animals to death, I really feel bad for him.
So I left my dog at home, with my fiance. We had a training plan in order,…

I've posted over 60 videos of Wally, motorbiking, sky diving, plane flying, etc. but none became viral.
The reason I do those videos is mostly for a virtual album and for my mother who's in a home and does not have any computer skill. Therefore, bringing her a burnt DVD with the videos when I visit is a way to put a smile on her face. Plus, in order to create a viral you can't have any copyright material so therefore the music from the web that makes such an impact on clips,…

Ruby the Corgi Pup is thriving on the "Real Food" (as I like to call it) that she's been getting since recovering from her UTI and subsequent spate of projectile doggyrhea. Her growth has resumed, her shiny coat practically glows in the dark, and she's full of ginger. She and Cassie have learned to play tug o'war together with some very silly-looking toys recently acquired at Costco, and for the past hour they've been sharing a frenzy over Ball.
Cassie has had Real Food ever…

Today Pumpkin is 13! Am I the luckiest, I know I'm the happiest because of her. Of course she's slower but she still hops along for her walk, she sleeps much more and that's when the grey around her eyes shows, but most of the time she looks like a puppy. Play...oh yeah, never ignores a toy, gets each one out of the basket, shakes it and growls. She always makes me laugh. It's a very, very…

So, I've had my Daisy for three years now since I rescued her from Sac. animal shelter.
And over the years, she's had a lot of fun visiting the neighbor's backyards, taking her own walks, and generally scaring the hell out of me every time I noticed the was gone. Then I would panic and bicycle around till I found her. Thankfully, I always did except for…

So Watson is 6 months and still is lots of fun! He is a little too enthusiastic when greeting people but we are working on it. He is much better about seeing other dogs at least he doesn't always bark now. He had his first professional nail dremeling today and cried like a baby while gulping down treats.( I am a big chicken and have just been trimming the nails with clippers while showing him the dremel). He loves to lick everybody and doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. It appears…

He has a subcutaneous lipoma low on his side. For those who don't know what they are, they are a fatty growth that is common to older dogs. These are not cancer. Normally they stay small and don't need to be removed...I think just about all my older dogs have had them. The one Max has is low on his side and it grew quickly and large, about the size of a softball. The vet said she can close her fingers almost completely on the inside of the growth which means it's not attached to…

It looks like my husband and I, along with our two corgis will be moving in the next month to Louisville KY. We're both excited, but anxious about moving into an apartment with our corgis (Louisville is an expensive place compared to where we are now)! We're not worried about our Lola moving there and being OK with an apartment, but we're concerned about Hank. He's just a puppy, and likes to talk, but I'm worried about how that talking will affect our neighbors. We take him for lots of walks…

Well Teddy(my 11 year old rescue) and Tank at some point decided to leave the area. Teddy does not do this and being almost completely deaf I panicked. Took Wynn with me and started walking the fields near our place. Partway through I thought about calling the people who live at our other place and the lady said "so that's whose dogs these are" I was so relieved...she said…

So yesterday morning we woke up bright and early and headed off to our first dock diving trial! This one was hosted by NADD/AKC. We were a little surprised to show up and see a TON of Golden Retrievers (their club decided to come together), two labs, one German Shepherd, and NO "little" dogs. No matter, everyone was very welcoming and loved that a Corgi came to dock dive. We got in line to do our practice jumps-- Tucker flew off the dock no problem with plenty of…

...that Ruby is not a purebred corgi?
This morning when I took Ruby in to get her stitches out, I finally extracted a certificate of spaying from the vet's office -- they had my old address and had mailed a copy there. When I came to light long enough to scan it and send it to Lindsay, I noticed that they had described her as a "Corgi cross."
Called and said she's a purebred, and they said they'd send out another form. But...hm. It's easy to see why a…

I am looking at our little pup, Hazel. He is 4.5 months going on 5 months next week and weights about 20lbs. I do not have the measurements for his mom and dad but mom is definitely a bigger corgi and dad is medium sized. I've included some photos below for reference. The reason for my post is I am concerned with his growth rate. Is he growing too quickly for the breed? If he is, what stress is being put on his little joints that could lead to spine and joint problems including hip dysplasia…

I would like to connect up with people who have siblings of my corgi.
He is a blue merle Cardi, born on April 7, 2013, and purchased from Pynne
Wood Cardigans, in Minnesota, from Laura Johnson. Any sibs out there?

Pippin is my first Corgi & his brother, Archie was my first dog less than a year ago, so I'm kind of new to having a dog.
Pippin just turned 9 months, but hes always been so paranoid. If me or my husband make a sudden move at him he will run away. Or if I climb on the counter (I'm very short lol) he will bark as if he wants me to get down. He doesn't like it if I climb on chairs either. We've had him since he was 8 weeks old, so I don't think he was every…

I've seen a lot of topics on this site that are not the happiest (that's life I guess). Just in case any corgi owners needed a nice pick me up, here is a video of Napolean doing some tricks ^ ^ Remember to stay pawsitive and be happy with the corgi you have! We also hope to inspire many other corgi owners to teach their corgis tricks as well! Trick training (through positive reinforcement) builds a stronger bond plus it's really fun :D

Okay, I challenge ANYONE to name one critter -- other than a two-year-old -- that can complicate your life MORE THAN A PUPPY CAN!
So, it's along about 4 p.m. Hotter than a three-dollar cookstove outside and passing warm here inside the Funny Farm, with the AC set at 80 and struggling to hold the temp in the back of the house at around 82. Cassie and Ruby are crapped out on the cool tile floor. I've been working like a stevedore all day and am thinking...ahhh...a late siesta!…
